Furthermore, a study on human subjects demonstrates that Chamomillia flavonoids and essential oils thereof can penetrate into deeper skin layers than the surface of the skin. Furthermore, topical applications of Chamomilla are known to be effective in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
  • Chamomilla recutita flower extract present in the combination disclosed in the present invention is a skin care agent and its amount in the total composition is preferably in the range of 10% and 25% by weight.
  • Maiva syivestris extract Another caring agent which is used within the invention and takes place in the caring group is Maiva syivestris extract. Malva Syivestris (great lakes hibiscus), can be used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases in traditional phytotherapy (KOitOr S. 2007. Medicinal plants used in Kirkiareli City (Turkey). Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 111:341-364; Scherrer A.M., R. Motti and C.S. Weckerle. 2005. Traditional plant use in the areas of Monte Vesole and Ascea, Cilento National Park (Campania, Southern Italy). Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 97:129-143).
  • Malva Syivestris is not only a strong antioxidant but also a potential anti-inflammatory.
  • Malva Syivestris extracts can be derived from leaves and flowers of the plant.
  • the term“Malva Syivestris extract” as used herein means the extracts derived both from leaf and the flower.
  • Malva Syivestris extract is advantageous particularly for providing intensive care for hair strands.
  • the amount of Malva Syivestris extract used in the present invention can be preferably between 0,1% and 1% by weight of the total composition.

  • Panthenol as a B5 vitamin analogous is an efficient moisturizer and reduces the irritation and inflammation by increasing skin hydration.
  • the amount of pantenol used in the present invention can be preferably between 0,1% and 1% by weight of the total composition.
  • the caring group present in the composition of the present invention can comprise an additional agent for the caring of the scalp.
  • the use of sodium levulinate, which is currently used as preservative and skin caring agent in cosmetic and personal caring products, is convenient.
  • surfactants increase the wetting ability of the liquid they are added to by reducing the surface tension, therefore they are frequently used in the cleansing process.
  • Surfactants are divided into four groups, i.e. anionic, cationic, amphoteric and nonionic. As known in the art, surfactants cause severe irritations in the eye and the skin.
  • the compositions disclosed within invention may comprise non-ionic and/or other amphoteric surfactants in addition to cocamidopropyl betaine to obtain more intense foaming and cleansing.
  • Those surfactants can either be used single or in combination within the said composition provided that they are selected from a group comprising sodium cocoamphoacetate, lauryl glucoside and coco-glucoside.
  • the said additional surfactant amount in total composition can be between 1% and 10%, preferably between 1% and 5% by weight.
  • a point which is worth of notice herein is the solubility problem of the surfactants. Particularly lauryl glucosides are difficult to dissolve in cases where the dissolver is water and can cause precipitates in the composition. Complete dissolution of surfactants in the composition is very important to achieve homogenization. Because it is one of the most crucial factors that effect the stability of the product.
  • compositions of the invention can comprise preservative agents.
  • This agent can be selected from a group comprising potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate.
  • the preservative agents may either be used single or in combination, and their amounts can be between 0,1 % and 5%, preferably between 0,1% and 1% by weight of the total composition.
  • Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate present in the compositions of the invention is used as a chelating agent by the Inventors. This agent was used to increase the activity of the preservative, however, it was determined that the said agent enabled beter dissolution for the surfactants within the mixture through a synergistic effect. Along with this effect, in cases especially where the hardness of the water used is high, tetrasodium glutamate diacetate prevents the formation and accumulation of calcium and magnesium soaps and other substances that will cause undesired alterations in the product with its chelating function and it is biocompatible. Unlike other chelating agents known in the state of art, it does not comprise toxic effects. Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate amount in the composition of the invention can be preferably more than 0, less than or equal to 0,1% by weight of the total composition.
  • the present invention can comprise perfuming agents, in addition to the caring group of other embodiments. These perfuming agents can also exhibit preservative and/or antimicrobial activity besides odor. These components may be various essences, perfumes or natural herbal extracts.
  • the other embodiments can comprise emollients for the purposes of preventing the rough effects of the cleansing composition on the skin or dissolving the perfuming agents..
  • the said agent can be selected from cetearyl isononanoate, cetearyl octanoate, decyl oleate, glyceryl oleate, isooctyl stearate, isopropyl myristate, dicapryly ether, myristyl lactate and dimethicone copolyol.
  • the said agent is preferably glyceryl oleate and myristyl lactate combination. It is determined herein that, myristyl lactate and glyceryl oleate combination shows viscosity increasing effect and helps reach creamy form when used together with the surfactant group.
  • the pH value of the cleansing composition is between 5-6, preferably is 5,5.
  • the maintenance of the pH value of the composition in the range of 5-6 is quite important since the pH values of scalp and hair lipids are in the range of 4-6 and the natural acidic environment achieved by the said range prevents the formation of the bacteria and fungi and keeps the hair cuticles (hair strand outer layer) covered and healthy.
  • Citric acid can be used as acidity regulator in the cleansing and caring compositions of the present invention.
  • the cleansing and caring compositions of the present invention are convenient for cosmetic use and can be in the form of shampoo, cream, gel, lotion or in any liquid form.
  • the compositions disclosed in the invention have cleansing and caring properties, therefore they can be used in various personal care products such as shampoo, hair cream, hair dye, and hair caring spray or lotions, sun care products, moisturizer compounds, shower gel or soaps.
  • the composition is more preferably in the shampoo form.
  • the said shampoo is ideal particularly for babies under three years of age.
  • the present invention presents a method which comprises the following steps to prepare the compositions of the invention: Heating herbal extract phase comprising Chamomilla recutita flower juice and Malva sylvestris extract while mixing with water until the dissolution is achieved.

  • composition is stable under reasonable storage conditions (room temperature: 25 °C) when used for commercial purposes or in its container for more than 30 months.
  • a composition that was prepared according to Table 2 was applied to 25 male and female patients between tha ages 18-70 that were selected according to the inclusion criteria, i.e. a) well general state of health b) absence of dermatopathy c) absence of ongoing pharmacological treatment d) agreeing to not changing the ordinary daily routine and e) absence of atopy in anamnesis, in order to provide outpatient treatment.
