- a carbon dioxide absorbent was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the volume ratio of n-dodecane and the mixed surfactant was 1: 2.
- Dispersion stability is specifically evaluated by combining the results of scattering photometry and turbidity testing.
- Dispersion stability means a property that the hydrocarbon oil is to be kept uniformly dispersed in the solvent. Therefore, if the dispersion stability is high, the efficiency as a carbon dioxide absorbent increases, and the energy used for capture of carbon dioxide is reduced overall.
- Scattering photometry is a measurement method using the tindle effect in which a laser beam projected onto a reagent is visualized due to scattering and reflection of the reagent.
- the degree of visualization depends on the degree to which the hydrocarbon oil is dispersed in the solvent.
- hazy light means that precipitation has occurred in the reagents, which impairs the uniformity of the dispersion, while spreading light means that agglomeration of hydrocarbon oils has occurred. Therefore, it can be evaluated that dispersion stability is better as light is clearer and nears a straight line.
- the scattering light measuring apparatus is shown in FIG. 3.
- the prepared carbon dioxide absorbent is placed in a 30 ml vial bottle and placed 5 cm away from the laser. At this time, 5cm was determined as the position where the sharpest laser was projected on the vial bottle.
- Four lasers are projected from the bottom, the lower middle, the upper middle, and the up to evaluate the dispersion stability according to various positions. Photographed over time immediately after manufacture to compare and evaluate light clarity.
- Figure 4 is an image showing the results of the scattering photometry of the carbon dioxide absorbent according to Example 1, Comparative Examples 1 to 5 of the present invention.
- Comparative Example 1 and Comparative Example 2 it can be confirmed that the scattered light is very blurry. This strongly suggests that hydrocarbon oil is not dispersed and precipitation has occurred.
- Comparative Example 3 to 5 it can be confirmed that the scattered light is not a straight line (Comparative Example 3) or spread too widely (Comparative Example 4, Comparative Example 5).
- Comparative Example 4 and Comparative Example 5 it is possible to observe a clear portion and a blurry portion even on a single straight line of light. This suggests that flocculation of hydrocarbon oil is occurring.
- Turbidity measurement was performed by converting the amount of light passing through the reagent into a numerical value.
- the unit is NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units).
- NTU Nephelometric Turbidity Units
- the NTU value of the carbon dioxide absorbent of the present invention is measured with time, and the degree to which the NTU value changes is evaluated. If the NTU value measured after a certain time decreases faster or significantly than the initial NTU, the dispersion stability may be evaluated as low. This is because the change in turbidity means fast or large. In the case of the NTU value, a total of five measurements were taken and the average value was selected as the data.
- the change in NTU value and the change in sharpness usually show a similar tendency. If the NTU value and the tendency of sharpness do not match, it can be estimated that an error has occurred in the experiment. 4 and 5, it can be seen that a similar tendency appears in the change in NTU value and the change in sharpness of light.
- Example 5 is a chart showing the turbidity measurement results of the carbon dioxide absorbent according to Example 1, Comparative Examples 1 to 5 of the present invention. Overall, as the ratio of surfactant increases, it can be seen that the NTU value also increases. 5, in Comparative Example 1 and Comparative Example 2, it can be seen that the NTU is steadily decreasing. Due to the lack of surfactant mixtures, the results correspond to the theoretical prediction that the dispersion of hydrocarbon oils is unlikely to occur sufficiently.
- Comparative Example 3 Although the decrease in the NTU value was shown to be relatively small compared to Comparative Examples 1 and 2, it can be seen that the NTU decreases relatively quickly after 90 minutes.
- the volume ratio of the surfactant mixture to the volume of the hydrocarbon oil is less than 0.5 times, the dispersion stability is greater than that of 0.5 times or more.
- Example 1 of the present invention means that as a carbon dioxide absorbent, Example 1 of the present invention secured improved carbon capture efficiency and energy efficiency without aggregation.

Abstract
Description

{실시예 및 비교예}
(Sorbitan monostearate, Span
(Polyoxyethylene(20) sorbitan monostearate, Tween
Span
Tween
Span

Tween

{평가}
단위는 NTU(Nephelometric Turbidity Units)이다.
