Definitions

  • the present specification refers, as its title indicates, to a cartridge for single-lever faucets of the type used in water mixer taps, which in addition to the hot and cold water inlets and water outlet, incorporates in the lower ceramic disk an evacuation recess, intended to derive water, in collaboration with the upper ceramic disk, through grooves in the cartridge housing, outwards, through a perforation made in the body of a mixer tap, integrating the cartridge the functions of opening, closing and emptying in a single mechanism.
  • the object of the invention is to be able to release the water retained in the water pipes to any single-lever shower system, both a column and a flexible hose or internal or external conduction, usually used to drive the water to a sprayer, to eliminate after the use of tap uncontrolled water discharges, drips and the proliferation of bacteria commonly generated in stagnant water, such as legionella.
