Abstract

L'invention concerne des catalyseurs et des procédés pour produire des rendements élevés de butène. Les catalyseurs de l'invention sont des catalyseurs bifonctionnels ayant à la fois des fonctionnalités d'hydrogénation et de déshydratation. Selon l'invention, les catalyseurs préférés comprennent généralement du cuivre élémentaire ou un composé contenant du cuivre supporté sur une zéolite d'aluminosilicate modifiée par du sodium. Les catalyseurs de l'invention sont utiles dans des procédés de réaction de méthyléthylcétone et d'hydrogène pour produire des rendements élevés de butène. La présente invention fournit une voie renouvelable simplifiée au butène, avec un certain nombre d'applications pratiques.
