Abstract
一种像素驱动电路,包括:有机发光二极管(OLED);驱动有机发光二极管(OLED)的驱动晶体管(DT),驱动晶体管(DT)包括形成栅节点的第一节点(N1)、连接到有机发光二极管(OLED)的第二节点(N2)以及连接到驱动电压线(DVL)的第三节点(N3);由第一扫描信号(S1)控制的第一晶体管(T1),第一晶体管(T1)连接在复位电压线(RVL)和第一节点(N1)之间;由第二扫描信号(S2)控制的第二晶体管(T2),第二晶体管(T2)连接在保持节点(Nh)和数据线(D i)之间;连接在第一节点(N1)和保持节点(Nh)之间的第一电容器(C1);连接在第一节点(N1)和第二节点(N2)之间的第二电容器(C2);以及连接在保持节点(Nh)和第二节点(N2)之间的第三电容器(C3)。在该像素驱动电路中,有机发光二极管(OLED)的电流与驱动晶体管(DT)的阈值电压无关,从而消除驱动晶体管(DT)的阈值电压漂移引起的画面显示不良的问题。
Description
本发明属于有机发光技术领域,具体地讲,涉及一种像素驱动电路及有机发光显示装置。
近年来,有机发光二极管(Organic Light-Emitting Diode,OLED)显示器成为国内外非常热门的新兴平面显示器产品,这是因为OLED显示器具有自发光、广视角(达175°以上)、短反应时间(1μs)、高发光效率、广色域、低工作电压、薄厚度(可小于1mm)、可制作大尺寸与可挠曲的显示器及制程简单等特性,而且它还具有低成本的潜力。
现有的OLED显示器依驱动方式可分为被动式(PMOLED)和主动式(AMOLED)。在AMOLED中,通常利用薄膜晶体管(TFT)搭配电容存储信号来控制OLED的亮度灰阶表现。为了达到定电流驱动的目的,每个像素至少需要两个TFT和一个储存电容来构成,即2T1C模式。图1是现有的AMOLED的基本驱动电路的电路图。参照图1,现有的AMOLED的基本驱动电路包括两个薄膜晶体管(TFT)和一个电容器,具体地,包括一个开关TFT T1、一个驱动TFT T2和一个存储电容器Cst。OLED的驱动电流由驱动TFT T2控制,其电流大小为:IOLED=k(Vgs-Vth)2,其中,k为驱动TFT T2的本征导电因子,由驱动TFT T2本身特性决定,Vth为驱动TFT T2的阈值电压。由于长时间的操作,驱动TFT T2的阈值电压Vth会发生漂移,从而导致OLED驱动电流变化,使得OLED显示器出现不良,影响画质。
发明内容
为了解决上述现有技术的问题,本发明的目的在于提供一种能够消除驱动晶体管的阈值电压影响的像素驱动电路及有机发光显示装置。
根据本发明的一方面,提供了一种像素驱动电路,其包括:有机发光二极管;驱动所述有机发光二极管的驱动晶体管,所述驱动晶体管包括形成栅节点的第一节点、连接到所述有机发光二极管的第二节点以及连接到驱动电压线的第三节点;由第一扫描信号控制的第一晶体管,所述第一晶体管连接在复位电压线和所述第一节点之间;由第二扫描信号控制的第二晶体管,所述第二晶体管连接在保持节点和数据线之间;连接在所述第一节点和所述保持节点之间的第一电容器;连接在所述第一节点和所述第二节点之间的第二电容器;以及连接在所述保持节点和所述第二节点之间的第三电容器。
进一步地,所述第三电容器的电容小于所述第一电容器的电容或所述第二电容器的电容。
进一步地,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压或高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供与低电平复位电压相同的低电平数据电压或高电平数据电压;所述像素驱动电路执行复位操作、阈值电压提取操作、数据写入操作以及发光操作。
进一步地,当所述像素驱动电路执行复位操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供低电平数据电压。
进一步地,当所述像素驱动电路执行阈值电压提取操作时,所述第一晶体管导通,所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压。
进一步地,当所述像素驱动电路执行数据写入操作时,所述第一晶体管截止,所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述数据线提供高电平数据电压。
进一步地,当所述像素驱动电路执行发光操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压。
根据本发明的另一方面,还提供了一种有机发光显示装置,其包括:显示面板,设置有限定出多个像素的数据线和扫描线;驱动所述数据线的数据驱动
器;驱动所述扫描线的扫描驱动器;控制所述数据驱动器和所述扫描驱动器的时序控制器;其中,所述像素包括:有机发光二极管;驱动所述有机发光二极管的驱动晶体管,所述驱动晶体管包括形成栅节点的第一节点、连接到所述有机发光二极管的第二节点以及连接到驱动电压线的第三节点;由第一扫描信号控制的第一晶体管,所述第一晶体管连接在复位电压线和所述第一节点之间;由第二扫描信号控制的第二晶体管,所述第二晶体管连接在保持节点和对应的数据线之间;连接在所述第一节点和所述保持节点之间的第一电容器;连接在所述第一节点和所述第二节点之间的第二电容器;以及连接在所述保持节点和所述第二节点之间的第三电容器。
进一步地,当所述有机发光显示装置执行复位操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供与低电平复位电压相同的低电平数据电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行阈值电压提取操作时,所述第一晶体管导通,所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行数据写入操作时,所述第一晶体管截止,所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述数据线提供高电平数据电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行发光操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压。
本发明的有益效果:在本发明中,流经有机发光二极管的电流与驱动晶体管的阈值电压无关,从而消除驱动晶体管的阈值电压漂移引起画面显示不良的问题。

图2是根据本发明的实施例的有机发光显示装置的架构图。
参照图2,根据本发明的实施例的有机发光显示装置包括:显示面板100、时序控制器200、扫描驱动器300和数据驱动器400。
显示面板100包括:阵列排布的多个像素PX、N条扫描线G1至GN、M条数据线D1至DM。扫描驱动器300连接到扫描线G1至GN,并驱动扫描线G1至GN。数据驱动器400连接到数据线D1至DM,并驱动数据线D1至DM。
扫描驱动器300能够根据若干像素结构给每个像素PX提供一个或者多个扫描信号,之后将会描述。
时序控制器200控制扫描驱动器300和数据驱动器400的操作时序,并且为此输出各种控制信号。
每个像素PX包括有机发光二极管(OLED)和用于驱动OLED的像素驱动电路。以下对本实施例的像素结构进行详细描述。
图3是根据本发明的实施例的有机发光显示装置的像素结构的等效电路图。
参照图3,根据本发明的实施例的有机发光显示装置的每个像素PX都具有3T3C像素结构,所述3T3C像素结构包括有机发光二极管OLED、驱动晶体管DT、第一晶体管T1、第二晶体管T2、第一电容器C1、第二电容器C2和第三电容器C3。
这里,驱动晶体管DT用来驱动有机发光二极管OLED。并且驱动晶体管DT包括形成栅节点的第一节点N1、连接到有机发光二极管OLED的第二节点N2以及连接到驱动电压线DVL的第三节点。
第一晶体管T1由第一扫描信号S1控制,并且第一晶体管T1连接在复位电压线RVL和第一节点N1之间。
第二晶体管T2由第二扫描信号S2控制,并且第二晶体管T2连接在保持节点Nh和数据线Di(1≤i≤M)之间。
第一电容器C1连接在第一节点N1和保持节点Nh之间。第二电容器C2连接在第一节点N1和第二节点N2之间。第三电容器C3连接在保持节点Nh和第二节点N2之间。
将第一电容器C1、第二电容器C2和第三电容器C3的电容进行比较,第三电容器C3的电容被设计得最小。
驱动电压线DVL提供低电平驱动电压VDD(-)或高电平驱动电压VDD(+)。复位电压线RVL提供低电平复位电压Vini。数据线Di提供低电平数据电压Vdate(-)(其与低电平复位电压Vini相同)或高电平数据电压Vdate(+);
图4是具有根据本发明的实施例的有机发光显示装置的像素结构的像素的操作时序图。
参照图4,具有根据本发明的实施例的有机发光显示装置的像素结构的像
素PX执行复位步骤(或称初始化步骤)、阈值电压提取步骤、数据写入步骤以及发光步骤。
首先,在复位步骤中,第一晶体管T1和第二晶体管T2导通,驱动电压线DVL提供低电平驱动电压VDD(-),复位电压线RVL提供低电平复位电压Vini,数据线Di提供低电平数据电压Vdate(-)。
此时,第一节点N1的电压Vg、第二节点N2的电压Vs和保持节点Nh的电压Va被表示为:
Vg=Vini,
Va=Vini,
Vs=VDD(-),
这样,第一节点N1使用低电平复位电压Vini进行复位(或称初始化),而第二节点N2使用低电平驱动电压VDD(-)进行复位(或称初始化)。
接着,在阈值电压提取步骤中,第一晶体管T1导通,第二晶体管T2截止,驱动电压线DVL提供高电平驱动电压VDD(+),复位电压线RVL提供低电平复位电压Vini,数据线Di提供低电平数据电压Vdate(-)。
此时,第一节点N1的电压Vg、第二节点N2的电压Vs和保持节点Nh的电压Va被表示为:
Vg=Vini,
Va=Vini-Vth,
Vs=Vini+[Cv1/(Cv2+Cv1)]*(Vini-Vth-VDD(-)),
其中,Vth表示驱动晶体管DT的阈值电压,Cv1表示第一电容器C1的电容,Cv2表示第二电容器C2的电容。
接着,在数据写入步骤中,第一晶体管T1截止,第二晶体管T2导通,驱动电压线DVL提供高电平驱动电压VDD(+),复位电压线RVL提供低电平复
位电压Vini,数据线Di提供高电平数据电压Vdate(+)。
此时,第一节点N1的电压Vg、第二节点N2的电压Vs和保持节点Nh的电压Va被表示为:
Va=Vdate(+),
Vs=Vini-Vth+ΔV,
Vg=Vini+B*ΔV+C*[Vdate(+)-Vini-B*(Vini-Vth-VDD(-))],
B=Cv1/(Cv2+Cv1),
C=Cv2/(Cv2+Cv1),
其中,ΔV表示一个极小的电压变化量,其为定值。
最后,在发光步骤中,第一晶体管T1和第二晶体管T2均截止,驱动电压线DVL提供高电平驱动电压VDD(+),复位电压线RVL提供低电平复位电压Vini,数据线Di提供低电平数据电压Vdate(-)。在发光步骤中,驱动晶体管DT被打开,随着电流的流入,第一节点N1的电压Vg和第二节点N2的电压Vs因电容的耦合作用均增大至稳定阶段,但第一节点N1和第二节点N2之间的电压差Vgs=Vg-Vs保持不变。
此时,Vgs=Vg-Vs=B*Vdate(+)+B*A*VDD(-)+A*B*Vth-ΔV(1-C)+Vth,其中,A=Cv3/(Cv3+Cv1),Cv3表示第三电容器C3的电容。
这样,流经OLED的电流I表示为:
I=K(Vgs-Vth)2=K[B*Vdate(+)+B*A*VDD(-)+B*A*Vth-ΔV(1-C)]2,
其中,K表示驱动晶体管DT的本征导电因子,由驱动晶体管DT本身特性决定。
在流经OLED的电流I的表达式中,由于第三电容器C3的电容Cv3相较于第二电容器C2的电容Cv2和第一电容器C1的电容Cv1极小,则A*B*Vth近似为零,因此流经OLED的电流I与驱动晶体管DT的阈值电压Vth无关,
这样可以消除驱动晶体管DT的阈值电压漂移引起AMOLED画面显示不良的问题。
虽然已经参照特定实施例示出并描述了本发明,但是本领域的技术人员将理解:在不脱离由权利要求及其等同物限定的本发明的精神和范围的情况下,可在此进行形式和细节上的各种变化。
Claims (16)
- 一种像素驱动电路,其中,包括:有机发光二极管;驱动所述有机发光二极管的驱动晶体管,所述驱动晶体管包括形成栅节点的第一节点、连接到所述有机发光二极管的第二节点以及连接到驱动电压线的第三节点;由第一扫描信号控制的第一晶体管,所述第一晶体管连接在复位电压线和所述第一节点之间;由第二扫描信号控制的第二晶体管,所述第二晶体管连接在保持节点和数据线之间;连接在所述第一节点和所述保持节点之间的第一电容器;连接在所述第一节点和所述第二节点之间的第二电容器;以及连接在所述保持节点和所述第二节点之间的第三电容器。
- 根据权利要求1所述的像素驱动电路,其中,所述第三电容器的电容小于所述第一电容器的电容或所述第二电容器的电容。
- 根据权利要求1所述的像素驱动电路,其中,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压或高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供与低电平复位电压相同的低电平数据电压或高电平数据电压;所述像素驱动电路执行复位操作、阈值电压提取操作、数据写入操作以及发光操作。
- 根据权利要求2所述的像素驱动电路,其中,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压或高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供与低电平复位电压相同的低电平数据电压或高电平数据电压;所述像素驱动电路执行复位操作、阈值电压提取操作、数据写入操作以及发光操作。
- 根据权利要求3所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行复位操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供低电平数据电压。
- 根据权利要求4所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行复位操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供低电平数据电压。
- 根据权利要求5所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行阈值电压提取操作时,所述第一晶体管导通,所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压。
- 根据权利要求6所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行阈值电压提取操作时,所述第一晶体管导通,所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压。
- 根据权利要求7所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行数据写入操作时,所述第一晶体管截止,所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述数据线提供高电平数据电压。
- 根据权利要求8所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行数据写入操作时,所述第一晶体管截止,所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述数据线提供高电平数据电压。
- 根据权利要求9所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行发光操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压。
- 根据权利要求10所述的像素驱动电路,其中,当所述像素驱动电路执行发光操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提 供高电平驱动电压。
- 一种有机发光显示装置,其中,包括:显示面板,设置有限定出多个像素的数据线和扫描线;驱动所述数据线的数据驱动器;驱动所述扫描线的扫描驱动器;控制所述数据驱动器和所述扫描驱动器的时序控制器;其中,所述像素包括:有机发光二极管;驱动所述有机发光二极管的驱动晶体管,所述驱动晶体管包括形成栅节点的第一节点、连接到所述有机发光二极管的第二节点以及连接到驱动电压线的第三节点;由第一扫描信号控制的第一晶体管,所述第一晶体管连接在复位电压线和所述第一节点之间;由第二扫描信号控制的第二晶体管,所述第二晶体管连接在保持节点和对应的数据线之间;连接在所述第一节点和所述保持节点之间的第一电容器;连接在所述第一节点和所述第二节点之间的第二电容器;以及连接在所述保持节点和所述第二节点之间的第三电容器。
- 根据权利要求13所述的有机发光显示装置,其中,所述第三电容器的电容小于所述第一电容器的电容或所述第二电容器的电容。
- 根据权利要求13所述的有机发光显示装置,其中,当所述有机发光显示装置执行复位操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据 线提供与低电平复位电压相同的低电平数据电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行阈值电压提取操作时,所述第一晶体管导通,所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行数据写入操作时,所述第一晶体管截止,所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述数据线提供高电平数据电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行发光操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压。
- 根据权利要求14所述的有机发光显示装置,其中,当所述有机发光显示装置执行复位操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供低电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压,所述数据线提供与低电平复位电压相同的低电平数据电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行阈值电压提取操作时,所述第一晶体管导通,所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述复位电压线提供低电平复位电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行数据写入操作时,所述第一晶体管截止,所述第二晶体管导通,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压,所述数据线提供高电平数据电压;当所述有机发光显示装置执行发光操作时,所述第一晶体管和所述第二晶体管截止,所述驱动电压线提供高电平驱动电压。
