Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de meulage de rails conçu pour l'usinage du champignon de rail d'un assemblage par soudage entre deux extrémités de rail, caractérisé par un dispositif de retenue (14) déplaçable dans un bâti de machine (1) dans un plan horizontal et permettant le positionnement dans une zone de travail délimitée par le joint soudé d'un outil de meulage pouvant être entraîné en rotation autour d'un axe (19) s'étendant dans le sens de la longueur des extrémités de rail. Un galet de gabarit (20) est monté rotatif autour de l'axe (19) de part et d'autre de l'outil de meulage de la machine de meulage (15) réalisée sous la forme d'une machine de meulage à bande, le diamètre utile du galet de gabarit étant plus grand que celui de l'outil de meulage qui est agencé réglable verticalement sur le dispositif de retenue. On obtient ainsi un dispositif de meulage de rails qui permet l'usinage de tous les profils Vignole courants sans qu'il ne soit nécessaire de stocker dans la mémoire d'une commande des données qui décrivent le profil de rail concerné.
