Abstract

La présente invention concerne une formulation semi-solide transdermique, de préférence une formulation de gel transdermique comprenant du dichlorhydrate de cétirizine et un système de véhicule comprenant des excipients tels que, mais non limités à, des solvants, des agents de pénétration, des agents gélifiants ou des polymères, des agents d'ajustement du pH, seuls ou dans des combinaisons de ceux-ci. La formulation de gel transdermique permet une administration continue in vitro de dichlorhydrate de cétirizine pendant une durée allant jusqu'à sept jours. La formulation de gel transdermique peut être ajoutée à un patch de réservoir. Pour le traitement et/ou la prévention et/ou le soulagement de symptômes associés à la rhinite allergique et/ou à l'urticaire et/ou aux allergies respiratoires supérieures, par application topique d'une formulation de gel transdermique sur la peau pendant jusqu'à un jour ou par application topique d'un patch de réservoir sur la peau pendant une durée choisie dans le groupe comprenant un jour, deux jours, trois jours, quatre jours, cinq jours, six jours ou sept jours, en réduisant la fréquence d'administration.
