Abstract

The present invention relates to a self propelled track mounted paddy harvester (1) that is driven in any kind of soil condition for harvesting, threshing and cleaning the crops grown in paddy fields. Said harvester (1) is equipped with rubber track system (5) that comprises an endless‐crawler belt (5e) extends over the sprocket (5c) and the idler tumbler (5d) and a plurality of rollers (5f). Said endless‐crawler belt (5e) is made of a plurality of metal links or shoes pivotally attached to each other by providing a rubber cover on said metal links. Such configuration of harvester (1) ensures the low ground pressure thereby said harvester is moved in the muddy terrain for performing harvesting, threshing, cleaning and discharging the grains from the crop.

STATEMENT UNDER ARTICLE 19 (1 )

The claims 1-5 of present invention are considered as novel as no single document discloses all features of the present invention (Please refer box No. 5, Para 2 of written opinion of the international search report). However, the inventive step of claim 1 is alleged to be obvious for a person skilled in the art by having the knowledge Dl and D2. Against this objection, it is respectfully submitted that Dl discloses a rice combine harvester having a track type configuration for propelling in the muddy land. D2 relates to a rubber pad being utilized in track so that propelling can be improved by using rubber track. However, the present invention teaches to improve the self propelling system of paddy harvester by defining the optimum width of the track. According to amended claim 1, the width of the track is preferably kept at 500mm. However, neither of given cited prior art teaches about the optimum width of the track. Further, due to having width of 500mm of each track, it generates low ground pressure around 25 g/sq cm so that the machine (1) can be propelled in the wet land easily [Please refer original claim 5 and Line No.: 16 to 18 of page No.: 12 of complete specification].

From the reason spelt out above, it is seen that neither of given prior arts disclose, teach or suggest regarding the optimum width of 500mm of the rubber track. Further, said optimum width of the tracks generates low pressure ground that helps the harvester to easily propel in the muddy field. Hence, the person skilled in the art can not conceive the present invention by having knowledge of prior arts. Thus, the amended claim 1

25 of the present invention can not be considered as obvious and therefore present invention is inventive.
