Abstract

一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,形成配向膜(30)的材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链(31)及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团(32),通过一次紫外光照射使配向膜(30)内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团(32)发生聚合反应即可实现对液晶分子(41)的配向,相较于现有的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,通过聚合使液晶分子(41)产生预倾角的反应型单体,作为侧链基团直接接枝于配向膜(30)的主体材料上形成聚酰亚胺类聚合物上的反应型基团(32),而非混合于液晶材料中,液晶层(40)中无游离的反应型单体,因此无需进行第二紫外光照射制程以消除混杂于液晶层(40)中的反应型单体,同时避免了液晶面板的滴落Mura、碎亮点等问题,从而降低了生产成本,提高了液晶面板品质。

Description

PSVA液晶面板的制作方法 技术领域
本发明涉及液晶显示领域,尤其涉及一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法。
背景技术
薄膜晶体管液晶显示器(Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display,TFT-LCD)由于色彩度高、体积小、功耗低等优势,在目前平板显示领域中占主流位置。就目前主流市场上的TFT-LCD显示面板而言,可分为三种类型,分别是扭曲向列(Twisted Nematic,TN)或超扭曲向列(Super Twisted Nematic,STN)型,平面转换(In-Plane Switching,IPS)型、及垂直配向(Vertical Alignment,VA)型。其中VA型液晶显示器相对其他种类的液晶显示器具有极高的对比度,在大尺寸显示,如电视等方面具有非常广的应用。
其中,聚合物稳定垂直配向(Polymer Stabilized-Vertical Alignment,PSVA)技术能够使液晶显示面板具有较快的响应时间、穿透率高等优点,其特点是在配向膜表面形成聚合物突起,从而使液晶分子具有预倾角。
传统的PSVA面板的制作过程大致包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供上基板100和下基板200,在上基板100和下基板200上设置PI(聚酰亚胺)配向膜300;
步骤2、在上基板100或下基板200侧滴入液晶组合物,该液晶组合物包含液晶材料410、和混合于液晶材料410中的反应型单体(Reactive monomer,RM)420,然后将上基板100和下基板200对组,形成上基板100和下基板200之间的液晶层400,得到液晶盒;
步骤3、如图1所示,对液晶盒进行第一次紫外光(UV)照射,并对上基板100和下基板200施加一定的电压,通过照射UV光的方式使液晶组合物中的反应型单体420发生反应,在上基板100和下基板200上形成聚合物突起,从而使液晶材料410形成预倾角,这一制程称为紫外光配向;
步骤4、如图2所示,对液晶盒进行第二次紫外光(UV)照射,因为在第一次紫外光照射中反应型单体420是没办法反应完全的,还有一些残留在液晶材料410里,为了除去这部分反应型单体420,通过第二次紫外光照射制程,用比较弱的UV光使反应型单体420反应完全。
从而如图3所示,经过两次UV光照射制程后,完成了紫外光配向并 使液晶层400内无残留的反应型单体420。然而在实际生产中,第二紫外光配向制程的时间很长,一般在两个小时左右,因此耗能较高。另外,液晶材料410的配向是通过在液晶材料410里游离的反应型单体420发生反应实现的,在紫外光配向时,游离的反应型单体420的浓度分布和紫外光的强弱都会影响配向的好坏,例如,当游离的反应型单体420分布不均匀时,液晶面板会产生滴落Mura问题,即面板存在规则分布的黑点缺陷,从而降低面板的品质;再如,当紫外光强度较大、反应型单体420浓度较高时,反应型单体会发生爆聚反应,则液晶面板在显示时会产生碎亮点,从而严重影响面板品质。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,无需进行第二紫外光照射制程以消除混杂于液晶中的反应型单体,同时避免了液晶面板的滴落Mura、碎亮点等问题,从而降低生产成本,提高液晶面板品质。
为实现上述目的,本发明提供一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供上基板和下基板,在所述上基板和下基板的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料,形成配向膜;
所述配向膜材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团;
步骤2、在上基板或下基板设有配向膜的一侧上注入包括液晶分子的液晶组合物,然后使上基板和下基板设有配向膜的一侧相面对,将上基板和下基板对组成盒,形成上基板和下基板之间的液晶层,得到液晶盒;
步骤3、对上基板和下基板施加一定的电压,并对液晶盒进行紫外光照射,上基板和下基板相对一侧上的配向膜内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团在紫外光照射下发生聚合反应,使液晶层内的液晶分子形成预倾角。
所述步骤3中对液晶盒照射的紫外光的波长在300纳米到400纳米之间。
所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的紫外光的照射强度为0.08mW/cm2到110mW/cm2之间
所述步骤3中对液晶盒照射的紫外光的波长为313纳米,照射强度为0.08mW/cm2到10mW/cm2之间。
所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的时间为50秒至600秒。
所述步骤2中采用液晶滴下注入的方式在上基板或下基板的一侧上注入液晶组合物。
所述步骤3中使液晶分子形成的预倾角为88°至89°。
所述上基板为彩膜基板,所述下基板为TFT阵列基板。
所述步骤1中还包括在所述上基板和下基板的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料后,进行预烘烤制程和高温烘烤制程,形成配向膜。
本发明还提供一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、提供上基板和下基板,在所述上基板和下基板的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料,形成配向膜;
所述配向膜材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团;
步骤2、在上基板或下基板设有配向膜的一侧上注入包括液晶分子的液晶组合物,然后使上基板和下基板设有配向膜的一侧相面对,将上基板和下基板对组成盒,形成上基板和下基板之间的液晶层,得到液晶盒;
步骤3、对上基板和下基板施加一定的电压,并对液晶盒进行紫外光照射,上基板和下基板相对一侧上的配向膜内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团在紫外光照射下发生聚合反应,使液晶层内的液晶分子形成预倾角;
其中,所述步骤2中采用液晶滴下注入的方式在上基板或下基板的一侧上注入液晶组合物;
其中,所述步骤3中使液晶分子形成的预倾角为88°至89°;
其中,所述上基板为彩膜基板,所述下基板为TFT阵列基板。
本发明的有益效果:本发明提供的一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,形成配向膜的配向膜材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团,通过一次紫外光照射使配向膜内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团发生聚合反应即可实现对液晶分子的配向,相较于现有的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,通过聚合使液晶分子产生预倾角的反应型单体,作为侧链基团直接接枝于配向膜的主体材料上形成聚酰亚胺类聚合物上的反应型基团,而非混合于液晶材料中,液晶层中无游离的反应型单体,因此无需进行第二紫外光照射制程以消除混杂于液晶层中的反应型单体,同时避免了液晶面板的滴落Mura、碎亮点等问题,从而降低了生产成本,提高了液晶面板品质。

具体实施方式
为更进一步阐述本发明所采取的技术手段及其效果,以下结合本发明的优选实施例及其附图进行详细描述。
请参阅图4,本发明提供一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,包括如下步骤:
步骤1、如图5所示,提供上基板10和下基板20,在所述上基板10和下基板20的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料,形成配向膜30;所述配向膜材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链31及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团32。
具体地,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子中聚酰亚胺主链31为

该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子中侧链的可聚合的反应型基团32为含有多个碳碳双键的基团,其化学结构式具体为-X-F-B-(m)n-G-Y;
其中,X为苯甲基、-COO-、-O-、或-CH2-;
F为-(C=C)j-,j为1~20;
B为二苯基、或1,4-亚苯基;
m为-COO-、-O-、或-CH2-,n为1~10;
G为-(CH2)K-,K为1~20;

具体地,所述步骤1中,首先用洗净设备洗净上基板10和下基板20的表面,使其对配向膜材料有良好的涂布性和侵润性,然后再将上基板10和下基板20放入干燥炉中干燥,接着通过喷墨打印(Inkjet)的方法在上基板10和下基板20的一侧上分别均匀地涂布一层配向膜材料,再进行预烘烤(Pre Bake)、高温烘烤(Post Bake)等制程将配向膜30固化在上基板10和下基板20上。
具体地,所述聚酰亚胺类聚合物由反应型单体接枝于主体材料上形成,反应型单体接枝到主体材料后形成聚酰亚胺类聚合物分子中的侧链的可聚合的反应型基团32;该反应型单体包括光聚合反应型单体及热聚合反应型单体。具体地,所述上基板10为彩膜基板,所述下基板20为TFT阵列基板。
步骤2、如图6所示,在上基板10或下基板20设有配向膜30的一侧上注入包括液晶分子41的液晶组合物,然后使上基板10和下基板20上的配向膜30相面对,将上基板10和下基板20对组成盒,形成上基板10和下基板20之间的液晶层40,得到液晶盒。
具体地,所述步骤2中采用液晶滴下注入(One Drop Filling,ODF)的方式在上基板10或下基板20的一侧上注入液晶组合物,这种制程可大幅节省液晶材料和滴灌液晶的时间。
进一步地,由于配向膜30中聚酰亚胺类聚合物的反应型基团32由反应型单体所形成,并可继续聚合并对液晶分子41起到配向作用,因此,所述液晶组合物中不掺杂任何的反应型单体。
步骤3、如图7所示,对上基板10和下基板20施加一定的电压,液晶层40中的液晶分子41在电压驱动下会按照一定角度发生偏转,并同时从上基板10或下基板20侧对液晶盒进行紫外光照射,上基板10和下基板20 相对一侧上的配向膜30内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团32按照发生偏转的液晶分子41的方向在紫外光照射下发生聚合反应,使液晶层40内的液晶分子41形成预倾角,从而完成紫外光配向制程,即如图8所示,撤去电压并停止紫外光照射后,液晶层40内的液晶分子41在反应型基团32所形成的聚合物的作用下仍具有一定的偏转角度。
具体地,所述步骤3中采用波长在300纳米到400纳米之间的照射强度为0.3mW/cm2到110mW/cm2之间的紫外光对液晶盒照射,照射的时间为50秒至600秒,从而足以使液晶分子41形成预倾角,所形成的预倾角具体为88°至89°。
具体地,所在步骤3中当所采用的紫外光波长为313纳米时,紫外光时照射强度为0.08mW/cm2到10mW/cm2之间。
需要说明的是,本发明的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,只需要进行一次紫外光照射制程,以实现紫外光配向,由于配向膜30中聚酰亚胺类聚合物的反应型基团32由反应型单体所形成,并可继续聚合并对液晶分子41起到配向作用,液晶层40中不含有反应型单体,在进行一次紫外光配向制程后,液晶层40不会含有游离的反应型单体,因此不需要第二次紫外光照射制程来将游离的反应型单体从液晶层40中去除,从而大大缩短了生产的作业时间,提高了生产产能。进一步地,因为反应型单体按照接枝的方式固定于配向膜30上,不存在反应型单体分布不均的情况,所以在生产制造过程中不会因反应型单体分布不均而产生滴落Mura的问题,也不会因反应型单体爆聚而产生碎亮点的问题,从而提高了液晶面板的品质。
综上所述,本发明提供的一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,形成配向膜的配向膜材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团,通过一次紫外光照射使配向膜内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团发生聚合反应即可实现对液晶分子的配向,相较于现有的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,通过聚合使液晶分子产生预倾角的反应型单体,作为侧链基团直接接枝于配向膜的主体材料上形成聚酰亚胺类聚合物上的反应型基团,而非混合于液晶材料中,液晶层中无游离的反应型单体,因此无需进行第二紫外光照射制程以消除混杂于液晶层中的反应型单体,同时避免了液晶面板的滴落Mura、碎亮点等问题,从而降低了生产成本,提高了液晶面板品质。
以上所述,对于本领域的普通技术人员来说,可以根据本发明的技术方案和技术构思作出其他各种相应的改变和变形,而所有这些改变和变形都应属于本发明后附的权利要求的保护范围。

Claims (15)

  1. 一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,包括如下步骤:
    步骤1、提供上基板和下基板,在所述上基板和下基板的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料,形成配向膜;
    所述配向膜材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团;
    步骤2、在上基板或下基板设有配向膜的一侧上注入包括液晶分子的液晶组合物,然后使上基板和下基板设有配向膜的一侧相面对,将上基板和下基板对组成盒,形成上基板和下基板之间的液晶层,得到液晶盒;
    步骤3、对上基板和下基板施加一定的电压,并对液晶盒进行紫外光照射,上基板和下基板相对一侧上的配向膜内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团在紫外光照射下发生聚合反应,使液晶层内的液晶分子形成预倾角。
  2. 如权利要求1所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒照射的紫外光的波长在300纳米到400纳米之间。
  3. 如权利要求2所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的紫外光的照射强度为0.08mW/cm2到110mW/cm2之间。
  4. 如权利要求3所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的紫外光的波长为313纳米,照射强度为0.08mW/cm2到10mW/cm2之间。
  5. 如权利要求2所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的时间为50秒至600秒。
  6. 如权利要求1所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤2中采用液晶滴下注入的方式在上基板或下基板的一侧上注入液晶组合物。
  7. 如权利要求1所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中使液晶分子形成的预倾角为88°至89°。
  8. 如权利要求1所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述上基板为彩膜基板,所述下基板为TFT阵列基板。
  9. 如权利要求1所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤1中还包括在所述上基板和下基板的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料后,进行预烘烤制程和高温烘烤制程,形成配向膜。
  10. 一种PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,包括如下步骤:
    步骤1、提供上基板和下基板,在所述上基板和下基板的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料,形成配向膜;
    所述配向膜材料包含聚酰亚胺类聚合物,该聚酰亚胺类聚合物的分子包括聚酰亚胺主链及侧链的可聚合的反应型基团;
    步骤2、在上基板或下基板设有配向膜的一侧上注入包括液晶分子的液晶组合物,然后使上基板和下基板设有配向膜的一侧相面对,将上基板和下基板对组成盒,形成上基板和下基板之间的液晶层,得到液晶盒;
    步骤3、对上基板和下基板施加一定的电压,并对液晶盒进行紫外光照射,上基板和下基板相对一侧上的配向膜内聚酰亚胺类聚合物侧链上的反应型基团在紫外光照射下发生聚合反应,使液晶层内的液晶分子形成预倾角;
    其中,所述步骤2中采用液晶滴下注入的方式在上基板或下基板的一侧上注入液晶组合物;
    其中,所述步骤3中使液晶分子形成的预倾角为88°至89°;
    其中,所述上基板为彩膜基板,所述下基板为TFT阵列基板。
  11. 如权利要求10所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒照射的紫外光的波长在300纳米到400纳米之间。
  12. 如权利要求11所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的紫外光的照射强度为0.08mW/cm2到110mW/cm2之间。
  13. 如权利要求12所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的紫外光的波长为313纳米,照射强度为0.08mW/cm2到10mW/cm2之间。
  14. 如权利要求11所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤3中对液晶盒进行紫外光照射的时间为50秒至600秒。
  15. 如权利要求10所述的PSVA液晶面板的制作方法,其中,所述步骤1中还包括在所述上基板和下基板的一侧上分别涂布一层配向膜材料后,进行预烘烤制程和高温烘烤制程,形成配向膜。
