Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil de combustion comprenant une chambre de combustion (1) dotée d'une paroi cylindrique qui s'étend entre des première et seconde parois d'extrémité (2, 3). Une entrée d'alimentation (4) pour matériau combustible s'étend à travers la première paroi d'extrémité (2) ou à travers la paroi cylindrique adjacente à la première paroi d'extrémité, et une sortie de gaz de combustion (9) traverse le centre de la seconde paroi (3). Une entrée d'air (12) est reliée à une soufflante (11), ladite entrée d'air s'étendant à travers la paroi cylindrique afin de diriger un flux d'air, en décalage de l'axe longitudinal central de la chambre de manière à provoquer un écoulement autour de la paroi cylindrique au sein de la chambre. Un tube (15) s'étend axialement le long de la chambre et à travers le centre de la sortie de gaz de combustion (9), ledit tube (15) contenant une vis sans fin (16) permettant de transporter une matière particulaire à partir d'une alimentation (18) située à l'extérieur de la chambre puis à travers la première paroi d'extrémité (2) afin de l'évacuer hors de la chambre. L'appareil peut être utilisé pour le séchage de matériau ou pour la combustion de matériau supplémentaire.
