Definitions
- the present invention relates to a scanning endoscope system, and more particularly to a scanning endoscope system that scans a subject to acquire an image.
- Japanese Patent No. 5090579 discloses an electronic endoscope configured to image a subject illuminated by illumination light supplied from a light source device with a CCD.
- an endoscope having a configuration different from that of the electronic endoscope described above for example, an irradiation position when irradiating a subject with illumination light having high directivity such as laser light is used.
- a scanning endoscope configured to optically scan the subject by periodically changing the subject has been proposed.
- a scanning endoscope since there is no need to provide a solid-state imaging device such as a CCD in an insertion portion that is inserted into a body cavity of a subject, the insertion portion is thinner than an electronic endoscope. There is an advantage that the diameter can be increased. Further, in a scanning endoscope, in order to make the best use of the above-described advantages, for example, a configuration in which a single optical fiber is used as an optical waveguide for guiding illumination light is considered desirable. Description
