Definitions

  • the invention relates to a filter cartridge having the features in the preamble of claim 1.
  • DE 43 12 580 C1 describes a small water treatment plant, in particular for coffee machines, in which untreated water is fed to one or more ion exchange vessels via a non-pressurized feed and flows through it only on the basis of gravity. With a filling of the filter medium to 10 1 to 100 1 raw water can be processed. In practice, however, has shown that due to the slow flow rate of the raw water in the ion exchange container only a small water flow can be achieved, which can not be increased by a larger number of series-connected ion exchange containers.
  • DE 40 35 563 A1 discloses a water treatment device consisting of a first and second chamber filled with ion exchange material, which are located in a lower housing portion and an upper housing portion.
  • the raw water passes through a water inlet first in the lower chamber, from there via passages in the upper chamber and leaves it through a water outlet installed in a lid.
  • the lower housing portion is bolted via a connecting rod with the upper housing portion, whereby the housing sections are braced against each other.
  • the disadvantage of this known water treatment device lies in the fixed predetermined performance of the water treatment device, so that for each performance class specific upper and lower housing sections are vorzuhalten.
  • the invention was based on this situation based on the object to provide a filter cartridge which is variable in length and suburb can be used in predetermined, different lengths of filter chambers of a pressurized water treatment plant.

Since the tolerances of the assembled filter elements add up and, in addition, the filter cartridge, including the assembled rocker When the cable is preloaded, the length-variable preloaded pipe socket ensures a corresponding compensation, which in turn increases the tightness. Conveniently, a free annular space remains between the filter cartridge and an inner wall of the filter chamber. This annulus fills during operation with raw water and contributes to the pressure relief of the filter elements, as in the annulus, the water pressure of the applied raw water prevails. This in turn effectively prevents inflation of the peripheral wall by the water pressure prevailing inside the respective filter element.
