Abstract
It is disclosed a device for establishing an escape route inside a tunnel, wherein the device comprises a number of similar or different sections, each section comprising a substantially gas-tight and inflatable sheath comprising mainly or completely gas-impenetrable walls and that may exist in an upright or deflated condition, said section(s) in a deflated condition existing as a collapsed and preferably folded strip, said strip being capable of being supplied with a pressurized fluid so that the walls of the section(s) are extended for establishing a corridor running mainly in the lengthwise direction of the tunnel or from at least one of the tunnel openings to a permanent escape opening in the wall(s) of the tunnel or between at least two permanent escape openings in the tunnel.
