Abstract
入力された交流電力を直流電力に変換して出力する充電動作を実行する複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-Nと、複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの内、1より大きい所定数以上の電源ユニットに異常が検出された場合に、異常が検出された電源ユニットと異常が検出されなかった電源ユニットとを含む全ての電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの充電動作を停止させ、全ての電源ユニット11-1~11-Nに充電動作をリトライさせる充電制御ユニット12とを備えて充電装置1を構成する。
Description
本発明は、充電装置及び充電制御方法に関する。
充電装置の内部には複数の電源ユニットが搭載されることがある。搭載された複数の電源ユニットの内、ある電源ユニットで異常が検出された場合、異常が検出された電源ユニットの動作は停止され、正常な電源ユニットのみで充電が続けられる。
なお、関連する技術として特許文献1~3に記載の技術が知られている。
しかしながら、電源ユニットの外的要因により異常が発生した場合には、全ての電源ユニットで異常が検出される可能性がある。全ての電源ユニットで異常が検出されて、全ての電源ユニットの動作が停止されると、充電装置による充電が停止してしまう。
本発明の一側面に係る目的は、電源ユニットで検出された異常が電源ユニットの内的要因で発生したか外的要因で発生したかに関係なく充電を可及的に実施できる充電装置を提供することである。
本発明に係る一つの形態である充電装置は、複数の電源ユニットと充電制御ユニットとを含む。複数の電源ユニットは、入力された交流電力を直流電力に変換して出力する充電動作を実行する。充電制御ユニットは、複数の電源ユニットの内、1より大きい所定数以上の電源ユニットに異常が検出された場合に、異常が検出された電源ユニットと異常が検出されなかった電源ユニットを含む全ての電源ユニットの充電動作を停止させ、全ての電源ユニットに充電動作をリトライさせる。
一実施形態に従った充電装置によれば、電源ユニットで検出された異常が電源ユニットの内的要因で発生したか外的要因で発生したかに関係なく充電を可及的に実施できる。
以下図面に基づいて実施形態について詳細を説明する。
図1は、実施形態に従った充電装置の構成例を示す図である。充電装置1は、並列接続される複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-N(Nは2以上の整数)及び充電制御ユニット(ECU:Electronic Control Unit)12を含む。以下の説明において複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-Nを特に区別しない場合には、単に電源ユニット11と記載する。
図1は、実施形態に従った充電装置の構成例を示す図である。充電装置1は、並列接続される複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-N(Nは2以上の整数)及び充電制御ユニット(ECU:Electronic Control Unit)12を含む。以下の説明において複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-Nを特に区別しない場合には、単に電源ユニット11と記載する。
電源ユニット11は、電源ケーブル3を介して交流電源2から入力された交流電力を所定の直流電力に変換し、変換された直流電力を充電ケーブル5を介して蓄電装置4へ出力する。電源ユニット11-1~11-Nは、AC-DC(Alternating Current - Direct Current)コンバータ111及びDC-DC(Direct Current - Direct Current)コンバータ112を夫々含む。また、電源ユニット11-1~11-Nは、電源ユニット制御部113、電流センサ114、及び電圧センサ115を夫々含む。
AC-DCコンバータ111は、電源ユニット制御部113の指示に従って、入力された交流電力を直流電力に変換し、変換された直流電力をDC-DCコンバータ112へ出力する。DC-DCコンバータ112は、電源ユニット制御部113の指示に従って、入力された直流電力を所定の直流電力に変換して出力する。
電源ユニット制御部113は、例えば、CPU(Central Processing Unit)といったプロセッサ、FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)、又はPLD(Programmable Logic Device)である。電源ユニット制御部113は、充電制御ユニット12と制御信号を送受信し、電源ユニット11全体の動作を制御する。例えば、電源ユニット制御部113は、電流センサ114や電圧センサ115の測定値に異常があること、すなわち過電流や過電圧を検出すると、電源ユニット11の異常(又は動作停止)を充電制御ユニット12に通知し、電源ユニット11各部の動作を停止させる。
なお、図1に示す構成例では、電流センサ114は、DC-DCコンバータ112からの出力電流を測定するが、例えば、AC-DCコンバータ111への入力電流を測定する等、他の電流値を測定するように構成されてもよい。また、図1に示す構成例では、電圧センサ115は、DC-DCコンバータ112からの出力電圧を測定するが、例えば、AC-DCコンバータ111への入力電圧を測定する等、他の電圧値を測定するように構成されてもよい。さらに、電源ユニット11内の任意の箇所の温度を測定する温度センサが設置されてもよい。電源ユニット制御部113は、温度センサの測定値に異常を検出すると、電源ユニット11の異常(又は動作停止)を充電制御ユニット12に通知し、電源ユニット11各部の動作を停止させるように構成されてもよい。
充電制御ユニット12は、例えば、CPUといったプロセッサ、FPGA、又はPLDである。充電制御ユニット12は、電源ユニット11-1~11-N夫々の電源ユニット制御部113及び蓄電装置4内の電池制御ユニット(図示せず)と制御信号を送受信し、充電装置1全体の動作を制御する。充電制御ユニット12は、例えば、以下の説明のように動作する。
図2は、実施形態に従った充電制御方法の処理フローの一例を示す図である。なお、図2に示す充電制御方法は、充電装置1による蓄電装置4に対する充電が開始される前に実行されてもよいし、充電装置1による蓄電装置4に対する充電が開始された後に実行されてもよい。
充電制御ユニット12は、電源ユニット11の異常を検出すると(S1で“YES”)、複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの内、所定数M(Mは1より大きくN以下の整数)以上の電源ユニット11に異常が検出されたか否かを判定する(S2)。前述したように、電源ユニット11に異常が発生した場合、充電制御ユニット12は、電源ユニット11の異常の通知(又は動作停止の通知)を当該電源ユニット11の電源ユニット制御部113から受ける。
所定数Mは、複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの内、所定数Mの電源ユニット11に同時に故障が発生する確率に従って予め設定される。具体的には、複数の電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの内、M個(例えば2個)の電源ユニット11に同時に故障が発生する確率がM-1個(例えば1個)の電源ユニット11に故障が同時に発生する確率よりも十分低い場合には、所定数はM(例えば2)に設定される。
所定数M未満の電源ユニット11に異常が検出されたと判定された場合(S2で“NO”)、充電制御ユニット12は、検出された異常は電源ユニット11の内的要因により発生した異常、すなわち、電源ユニット11の故障であると確定する(S3)。電源ユニット11の故障の一例としては、AC-DCコンバータ111の故障及びDC-DCコンバータ112の故障等が挙げられる。
充電制御ユニット12は、異常が検出された電源ユニット11の充電動作を停止させ(S4)、異常が検出された電源ユニット11以外の電源ユニット11、すなわち正常な電源ユニット11による充電動作を実行(続行)させる(S5)。具体的には、充電制御ユニット12は、正常な電源ユニット11により供給可能な最大電流値を蓄電装置4内の電池制御ユニット(図示せず)に通知し、該電池制御ユニットから電流指令値を受信する。充電制御ユニット12は、受信した電流指令値に従って、正常な電源ユニット11の電源ユニット制御部113に所望の電流値を指示し、正常な電源ユニット11に所望の直流電流を出力させる。
一方、所定数M以上の電源ユニット11に異常が検出されたと判定された場合(S2で“YES”)、充電制御ユニット12は、検出された異常は電源ユニット11の外的要因により発生した異常であると確定する(S6)。前述したように、所定数M以上の電源ユニット11に故障が同時に発生する確率は、所定数M未満の電源ユニット11に故障が同時に発生する確率よりも十分低い。そこで、所定数M以上の電源ユニット11に異常が検出された場合には、電源ユニット11の外的要因により異常が発生した可能性が高いといえる。外的要因の一例としては、交流電源2の停電、電源ケーブル3の破損、及び充電ケーブル5の破損等が挙げられる。このように、実施形態に従った充電制御方法によれば、電源ユニットの内的要因による異常(電源ユニットの故障)なのか、外的要因による異常なのかを切り分けて、充電を制御できる。
検出された異常が外的要因により発生した異常であると確定された場合には、外的要因が除去されて異常が解消されるまで、充電装置1による充電は一端停止されることが望ましい。そこで、充電制御ユニット12は、夫々の電源ユニット制御部113に停止指示信号を出力して、全ての電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの充電動作を停止させる(S7)。全ての電源ユニットとは、異常が検出された電源ユニット11と異常が検出されなかった電源ユニット11を含む。しかしながら、電源ユニット11に故障がないのであれば、異常の解消後に速やかに充電が再開されることが望ましい。そこで、充電制御ユニット12は、夫々の電源ユニット制御部113にリトライ指示信号を出力して、停止した全ての電源ユニット11-1~11-Nに充電動作をリトライさせる(S8)。リトライとは、電源ユニット11-1~11-Nが、入力された交流電力を直流電力に変換して出力することを再開することである。
S8において、充電制御ユニット12は、所定数M以上の電源ユニット11に検出された異常が回復するまで、複数の電源ユニット11に充電動作を繰り返しリトライさせてもよい。或いは、S8において、充電制御ユニット12は、一定時間の間、複数の電源ユニット11に充電動作を繰り返しリトライさせてもよい。
このように、実施形態に従った充電制御方法によれば、電源ユニットに故障が発生した場合には、正常な電源ユニットにより充電が実行され、電源ユニットの外的要因による異常が発生した場合には、外的要因による異常が解消された後速やかに充電が実行される。したがって、実施形態に従った充電装置によれば、電源ユニットで検出された異常が電源ユニットの内的要因で発生したか外的要因で発生したかに関係なく充電を可及的に実施できる。
なお、本発明は、以上の実施の形態に限定されるものでなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲内で種々の改良、変更が可能である。
例えば、前述の説明では、充電制御ユニット12は、異常が検出された電源ユニット11の充電動作を停止させ(S4)、正常な電源ユニット11に充電動作を実行(続行)させる(S5)。しかしながら、充電制御ユニット12は、全ての電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの充電動作を停止させ、正常な電源ユニット11に充電動作を実行(リトライ)させてもよい。こうした処理によれば、全ての電源ユニット11の停止後正常な電源ユニット11による充電動作が新たに開始される。このため、例えば、異常発生前に蓄電装置4が出力した電流指令値と、異常発生後に充電装置1が出力する電流値との不整合といった制御上の不都合が生じない。また、例えば、異常発生後に供給可能な最大電流値を充電装置1が蓄電装置4に通知するといった充電中の追加の処理が生じない。したがって、外的要因による異常発生後に充電装置1による充電が再開される場合と同様に、充電装置1による充電制御を単純化できる。
例えば、前述の説明では、充電制御ユニット12は、異常が検出された電源ユニット11の充電動作を停止させ(S4)、正常な電源ユニット11に充電動作を実行(続行)させる(S5)。しかしながら、充電制御ユニット12は、全ての電源ユニット11-1~11-Nの充電動作を停止させ、正常な電源ユニット11に充電動作を実行(リトライ)させてもよい。こうした処理によれば、全ての電源ユニット11の停止後正常な電源ユニット11による充電動作が新たに開始される。このため、例えば、異常発生前に蓄電装置4が出力した電流指令値と、異常発生後に充電装置1が出力する電流値との不整合といった制御上の不都合が生じない。また、例えば、異常発生後に供給可能な最大電流値を充電装置1が蓄電装置4に通知するといった充電中の追加の処理が生じない。したがって、外的要因による異常発生後に充電装置1による充電が再開される場合と同様に、充電装置1による充電制御を単純化できる。

充電装置。 - 入力された交流電力を直流電力に変換して出力する充電動作を実行する複数の電源ユニットの内、1より大きい所定数以上の電源ユニットに異常が検出された場合に、異常が検出された電源ユニットと異常が検出されなかった電源ユニットとを含む全ての電源ユニットの前記充電動作を停止させ、
前記全ての電源ユニットに前記充電動作をリトライさせること
を含む充電制御方法。
