La présente invention concerne une grue à flèche articulée (1) destinée à des opérations de levage en mer, comprenant : des moyens de support (2, 4) de grue à flèche articulée ; une flèche principale (8) comportant une extrémité proximale (12) et une extrémité distale (16), l'extrémité proximale étant reliée rotative aux moyens de support (2, 4) de grue à flèche articulée au niveau d'un premier axe de rotation (10) ; un moyen de relevage (13) de flèche permettant de faire tourner la flèche principale (8) autour du premier axe de rotation (10) ; une flèche articulée (14) reliée rotative à l'extrémité distale (16) de la flèche principale (8) au niveau d'un second axe de rotation (18), la flèche articulée (14) comprenant une première partie (20) comprenant une première extrémité (22) et une second partie (24) comprenant une second extrémité (26) ; un moyen de levage de charge (28), le moyen de levage de charge (28) comprenant un élément de levage allongé (30) et un élément d'entraînement (32) d'élément de levage allongé, une première extrémité (34) de l'élément de levage allongé (30) étant reliée au moyen d'entraînement (32) d'élément de levage allongé et une seconde extrémité (36) de l'élément de levage allongé (30) pouvant être reliée à un élément de suspension de charge ; et un moyen de rotation (42) de flèche articulée permettant de faire tourner la flèche articulée (14) autour dudit second axe de rotation (18), le second axe de rotation (18) étant situé entre les première et seconde parties (20, 24) de la flèche articulée (14) ; et l'élément de levage allongé (30) étant conçu pour se déplacer le long de la première partie (20) ainsi que de la seconde partie (24) de la flèche articulée (14) de sorte qu'une force agissant sur la flèche articulée depuis l'élément de levage allongé génère un moment positif sur la seconde partie (24) de la flèche articulée et un moment négatif sur la première partie (20) de la flèche articulée (14), le moyen de rotation (42) de flèche articulée comprenant un élément de tension (44) allongé et un moyen d'entraînement (46) d'élément de tension allongé, une première extrémité de l'élément de tension (44) allongé étant reliée au moyen d'entraînement (46) d'élément de tension allongé et une seconde extrémité de l'élément de tension (44) allongé étant reliée directement ou indirectement à la flèche articulée (14) au niveau de sa première partie (20), et le moyen d'entraînement (46) d'élément de tension allongé étant relié à la flèche principale (8).
