- the present disclosure is a device that determines whether or not an abnormality has occurred in a filter (PM filter) device that collects particulate matter (PM) contained in engine exhaust (hereinafter simply referred to as a filter abnormality determination device). Say).
- PM filter particulate matter
- a filter device for collecting the particulate matter is provided in the exhaust passage. Further, a PM sensor is provided on the downstream side of the filter device, and it is determined whether or not an abnormality such as cracking or melting of the filter device has occurred.
- the filter abnormality determination device determines that there is an abnormality in the filter device when the amount of particulate matter adhered between the counter electrodes exceeds a predetermined amount during a predetermined abnormality determination period. Yes.
- particulate matter may adhere to the inner surface of the exhaust pipe of the engine, the filter device, or the like.
- the particulate matter becomes a lump, that is, a coarse particulate matter, is detached from the corresponding object (exhaust pipe inner surface or filter device) and adheres between the electrodes of the PM sensor, the resistance between the counter electrodes is reduced. Decrease significantly.
- the filter device is normal, the conventional filter abnormality determination device may erroneously determine that the filter device is abnormal.
- it is considered that a series of abnormality determinations may be performed again.
- the PM sensor regeneration process is performed by heating the PM sensor by the heater attached to the PM sensor. Then, after the PM sensor regeneration process is performed, the filter abnormality determination device again checks whether an abnormality has occurred in the filter device. In this method, although the erroneous determination of the abnormality of the filter device is eliminated, the efficiency of performing the abnormality determination of the filter device is significantly reduced.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a filter abnormality determination device capable of

And a sensor that outputs a parameter value corresponding to the amount of the particulate matter adhering to the sensor.
- the filter abnormality determination device is applied to an exhaust treatment system.
- the filter abnormality determination device determines whether or not the parameter value output from the sensor has reached an abnormality determination threshold value of the filter device in a predetermined abnormality determination period.
- An abnormality determination unit that determines that the output is abnormal
- a rapid increase determination unit that determines whether or not an output increase in which the increase amount per unit time of the parameter value output from the sensor exceeds a predetermined value has occurred
- the output When it is determined that a sudden increase has occurred, the amount of change in the parameter value output from the sensor is calculated before and after the output increase, and the parameter value output from the sensor and the abnormality are determined according to the calculated amount of change.
- a calculation unit that calculates a correction value for correcting at least one of the determination threshold values, and after determining that the output surge has occurred, from the sensor At least one force parameter value and the abnormality determination threshold value, and a, and an offset correction unit for offset correction based on the correction value.
- the filter abnormality determination device determines that the filter device is abnormal, that is, the filter device is abnormal.
- the filter abnormality determination device is output from the sensor before and after the sudden increase in output.
- a correction value for correcting at least one of the parameter value output from the sensor and the abnormality determination threshold value is calculated according to the change amount of the parameter value. Then, after it is determined that the output sudden increase has occurred, the filter abnormality determination device offset-corrects at least one of the parameter value output from the sensor and the abnormality determination threshold value with the correction value. By this offset correction, it is possible to suppress erroneous determination of whether or not an abnormality has occurred in the filter device due to the rapid increase in output. By suppressing the erroneous determination due to the sudden increase in output, the filter abnormality determining device can eliminate the processing of performing a series of abnormality determinations every time when the sudden increase in output occurs. It is possible to efficiently carry out the abnormality determination while suppressing the erroneous determination of whether or not the occurrence has occurred.

- step S13 the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the acquired PM detection voltage Vpm has increased rapidly.
- the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the amount of time change when the PM detection voltage Vpm changes is greater than the threshold value Th2.
- the microcomputer 44 obtains a difference between the value of the PM detection voltage Vpm in the current filter abnormality determination process (current value) and the value of the PM detection voltage Vpm in the previous filter abnormality determination process (previous value). It is determined whether or not the difference is larger than the threshold value Th2.
- the threshold value Th2 may be set to a value larger than the amount of time change of the PM detection voltage Vpm that is assumed to be discharged through the PM filter 14 in the actual operation state of the engine 11. Further, the threshold value Th ⁇ b> 2 may be set on the assumption that the PM filter 14 is cracked or melted or the exhaust of the engine 11 directly reaches the PM sensor 15 without passing through the PM filter 14. .
- step S14 the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the value after the sudden increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm is less than the allowable value Th3.
- the allowable value Th3 is set to a predetermined value, for example, a value larger than the abnormality determination threshold Th1. However, the allowable value Th3 may be a value smaller than the abnormality determination threshold Th1.
- step S14 the filter abnormality determination process proceeds to step S15, and the microcomputer 44 sets a correction value Vst for correcting the PM detection voltage Vpm in accordance with the change amount ⁇ Vpm before and after the sudden increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm. calculate. Specifically, the microcomputer 44 detects a stable PM detection voltage Vpm (referred to as Vpm1) before the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly increases and a stable PM detection voltage Vpm (Vpm2) after the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly increases.
- step S15 the microcomputer 44 adds a value obtained by adding the amount of change ⁇ Vpm during the current rapid increase to the correction value Vst during the previous rapid increase.
- step S16 the microcomputer 44 increments the number n of rapid increases in which the PM detection voltage Vpm has increased rapidly.
- the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the rapid increase number n is less than the predetermined number Th4.
- the predetermined number Th4 is set to a predetermined value, for example, 3.
- step S17 the filter abnormality determination process proceeds to step S18, and the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the correction value Vst is other than zero. If YES in step S18, the microcomputer 44 performs offset correction, that is, offsets the PM detection voltage Vpm to the decrease side by the correction value Vst in step S19. That is, when the microcomputer 44 represents the PM detection voltage after offset correction as Vpmc, the corrected PM detection voltage Vpmc is expressed by the following equation (1).
- Vpmc Vpm ⁇ Vst (1) Calculated by In subsequent step S20, the microcomputer 44 sets “1” in the offset correction flag.
- the offset correction flag is a variable, and since 0 is set, the correction value Vst is 0, that is, that the offset correction is not performed on the PM detection voltage Vpm. Show. On the other hand, when the offset correction flag is set to 1, it indicates that the correction value Vst is a value other than 0, that is, the state where the offset correction is performed on the PM detection voltage Vpm.
- step S13 determines whether or not the PM detection voltage Vpm has decreased rapidly in step S23.
- the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the amount of time change when the PM detection voltage Vpm changes is greater than a threshold value Th5.
- the threshold value Th2 for determining the sudden increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm and the threshold value Th5 for determining the rapid decrease in the PM detection voltage Vpm may be the same, or may be set to different values.
- the microcomputer 44 obtains a difference between the value of the PM detection voltage Vpm in the current filter abnormality determination process (current value) and the value of the PM detection voltage Vpm in the previous filter abnormality determination process (previous value). It is determined whether or not the difference value is a negative value and the absolute value is greater than a threshold value Th5.
- step S24 the microcomputer 44 changes the correction value Vst at that time according to the change amount ⁇ Vpm before and after the sudden decrease.
- the microcomputer 44 stabilizes the PM detection voltage Vpm (referred to as Vpm1) in a stable state before the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases and stabilizes after the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases.
- the amount of change ⁇ Vpm (negative value) is calculated from, for example, Vpm2 ⁇ Vpm1 from the detected PM detection voltage Vpm (Vpm2).
- the microcomputer 44 calculates the correction value Vst by adding the negative change amount ⁇ Vpm to the previous Vst when the PM detection voltage Vpm decreases rapidly.
- the calculation of the correction value Vst for the PM detection voltage Vpm that has rapidly decreased will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6 are timing charts showing offset correction of the PM detection voltage Vpm.
- the solid line indicates the PM detection voltage Vpm, and the broken line indicates the PM detection voltage Vpmc after correction.
- FIG. 5 shows a case where the change amount ⁇ Vpm1 before and after the sudden increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm is equal to the change amount ⁇ Vpm2 before and after the sudden decrease in the PM detection voltage Vpm.
- the microcomputer 44 sets the change amount ⁇ Vpm1 before and after the sudden increase as the correction value Vst, and when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases, the microcomputer 44 corrects the change by the change amount ⁇ Vpm2 before and after the sudden decrease.
- the value Vst is changed to 0.
- the microcomputer 44 uses the following equation (3) to calculate the correction value Vst when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases.
- Vst ⁇ Vpm2 ⁇ Vpm1 (3) It is calculated by.
- the correction value Vst at the time of sudden decrease becomes zero.
- FIG. 6 shows a case where the change amount ⁇ Vpm2 before and after the sudden decrease in the PM detection voltage Vpm is smaller than the change amount ⁇ Vpm1 before and after the sudden increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm.
- step S ⁇ b> 18 the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the correction value Vst is not zero. If YES in step S18, in step S19, the microcomputer 44 performs offset correction of the PM detection voltage Vpm. That is, if the determination in step S23 is affirmative, that is, if the PM detection voltage Vpm has suddenly decreased, in step S19, the microcomputer 44 offsets the PM detection voltage Vpm by the correction value Vst, that is, offsets to the increase side. That is, when the microcomputer 44 represents the PM detection voltage after offset correction as Vpmc, the corrected PM detection voltage Vpmc is expressed by the following equation (4).
- Vpmc Vpm ⁇ Vst (4) Calculated by As described above, since the correction value Vst is a negative value, the above equation (4) indicates that the PM detection voltage Vpm is offset, that is, offset to the increase side.
- the microcomputer 44 sets the offset correction flag to “1”.
- the microcomputer 44 stops offset correction of the PM detection voltage Vpm in step S21, and sets the offset correction flag to 0 in subsequent step S22.
- step S23 the microcomputer 44 determines whether or not the offset correction flag is set to “1” in step S25. If YES in step S25, in step S26, the microcomputer 44 performs, for example, offset correction similar to the offset correction executed in the previous filter abnormality determination process on the PM detection voltage Vpm.
- step S27 after step S25 is determined to be NO or after steps S20, S22, and S26, the microcomputer 44 determines that the PM detection voltage Vpm or the corrected PM detection voltage Vpmc is greater than or equal to the abnormality determination threshold Th1. It is determined whether or not. If NO in step S27, the microcomputer 44 ends the filter abnormality determination process as it is. If YES in step S27, the microcomputer 44 determines in step S28 that the PM filter 14 is abnormal. Then, the filter abnormality determination process is terminated.
- step S14 the microcomputer 44 performs the sensor regeneration process of the PM sensor 15 described above in step S29. That is, when the PM detection voltage Vpm after the rapid increase is equal to or greater than the allowable value Th3, or when the number n of rapid increases in the PM detection voltage Vpm exceeds Th4, a large amount of coarse particulate matter is attached to the PM sensor 15. It is assumed that In this case, since the reliability of the abnormality determination is reduced, the particulate matter is burned and removed by the sensor regeneration process.
- step S29 the microcomputer 44 sets the offset correction flag to 0 in step S30. Thereafter, the microcomputer 44 ends the filter abnormality determination process.
- the energization to the heater unit 35 is terminated at a timing t12 when a predetermined delay time has elapsed, and the PM sensor 15 is decreased to a predetermined temperature. 14 abnormality determination is started.
- the exhaust treatment system 1 As described above, the exhaust treatment system 1 according to the present embodiment described in detail, that is, the filter abnormality determination device 20 constituting the ECU 20 can obtain the following excellent effects.
- the filter abnormality determination device 20 having the above-described configuration, when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly increases due to desorption of coarse particulate matter from the exhaust pipe 13 or the PM filter 14 and adheres to the PM sensor 15, the filter abnormality determination device 20 before and after the rapid increase.
- a correction value Vst for correcting the PM detection voltage Vpm is calculated according to the change amount ⁇ Vpm of the PM detection voltage Vpm. Further, after it is determined that the PM detection voltage Vpm has rapidly increased, the filter abnormality determination device 20 performs offset correction on the PM detection voltage Vpm with the correction value Vst. For this reason, the filter abnormality determination device 20 having the above configuration can suppress erroneous determination that the PM filter 14 is abnormal when the PM detection voltage Vpm increases rapidly.
- the filter abnormality determination device 20 configured as described above eliminates the need for redoing a series of abnormality determinations every time the PM detection voltage Vpm increases rapidly. As a result, it is possible to efficiently perform the abnormality determination process of the PM filter 14 while suppressing erroneous determination that the PM filter 14 is abnormal.
- the filter abnormality determination device 20 uses the PM detection voltage Vpm before and after the rapid decrease as the correction value Vst at that time. Is changed in accordance with the amount of change ⁇ Vpm. With this configuration, it is possible to calculate the correction value Vst corresponding to the sudden decrease not only when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly increases but also when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases. For this reason, the filter abnormality determination device 20 can accurately grasp the amount of particulate matter discharged from the PM filter 14 even if the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly increases or decreases during the abnormality determination period.
- the filter abnormality determination device 20 is configured to calculate the correction value Vst at the time of sudden decrease based on the difference between the change amount ⁇ Vpm1 before and after the sudden increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm and the change amount ⁇ Vpm2 before and after the sudden decrease in the PM detection voltage Vpm. For this reason, even if the PM detection voltage Vpm is added due to the residual coarse particulate matter, the possibility that the PM filter 14 is likely to be erroneously determined to be abnormal can be reduced.
- the filter abnormality determination device 20 is configured to perform sensor regeneration processing when the PM detection voltage Vpm after the rapid increase is equal to or greater than the allowable value Th3 or when the number n of rapid increases in the PM detection voltage Vpm reaches the predetermined number Th4. Has been. With this configuration, it is possible to burn and remove a large amount of coarse particulate matter that causes a decrease in the reliability of the abnormality determination process for determining whether the PM filter 14 is abnormal. As a result, when the reliability of the abnormality determination process decreases due to a large amount of coarse particulate matter or the like, the reliability of the abnormality determination process for determining whether the PM filter 14 is abnormal is performed by performing the sensor regeneration process. Can be kept high.
- the microcomputer 44 may be configured to clear the correction value Vst to zero when the sharply decreased PM detection voltage Vpm is equal to or lower than a predetermined low voltage threshold Th6.
- the filter abnormality determination process performed by the ECU 20 related to this modification that is, the microcomputer 44 will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG.
- This filter abnormality determination process is performed instead of the process of FIG. In FIG. 8, the same steps as those in FIG. 4 are denoted by the same step numbers, and description of the processing is omitted. That is, the filter abnormality determination process according to this modification shown in FIG. 8 is different from the filter abnormality determination process shown in FIG. 4 in that steps S31 and S32 are added.
- step S31 determines in step S31 that the PM detection voltage Vpm that has rapidly decreased is predetermined. It is determined whether it is below the low voltage threshold Th6. If YES in step S31, in step S32, the microcomputer 44 clears the correction value Vst to zero, and the filter abnormality determination process proceeds to step S18.
- step S18 If it is determined in step S18 that the correction value Vst is 0 and the offset correction of the PM detection voltage Vpm is stopped in step S21, the microcomputer 4 resets the offset correction flag to “0” in step S22.
- the change of the PM detection voltage Vpm in the case of this modification in which the offset correction is stopped with respect to the PM detection voltage Vpm that has rapidly decreased below the predetermined low voltage threshold Th6 will be described with reference to FIG.
- FIG. 9 shows the change in the PM detection voltage Vpm during the abnormality determination period
- the solid line shows the output value of the PM detection voltage Vpm in this modification, that is, the output value of the PM detection voltage Vpm that has not been offset corrected.
- the broken line indicates the output value of the PM detection voltage Vpm corrected for offset.
- FIG. 9 shows a case where the PM detection voltage Vpm after the sudden decrease is smaller than the low voltage threshold Th6 when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases, and a part of the PM remains attached even after the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases. Is assumed. This is because, for example, particulate matter discharged from the PM filter 14 adheres to the PM sensor 15 during a period from when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly increases to when the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases, and the adhesion amount remains even after the PM detection voltage Vpm suddenly decreases. It is possible that In this case, by canceling the offset correction, it is possible to prevent unnecessary offset correction from being performed for the increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm due to the particulate matter discharged through the PM filter 14.
- step S24 the microcomputer 44 calculates a correction value Vst for correcting the PM detection voltage Vpm according to the amount of change ⁇ Vpm before and after the sudden decrease in the PM detection voltage Vpm, and step S18. Proceed to In steps S18 to S20, the microcomputer 44 determines that the correction value Vst is other than 0, and corrects the PM detection voltage Vpm by offset when the correction value Vst is other than 0.
- the present invention is not limited to this, and the microcomputer 44 may variably set the predetermined low voltage threshold Th6.
- the microcomputer 44 may set the low voltage threshold Th6 to be larger as the PM detection voltage Vpm immediately before the rapid decrease is larger than the PM detection voltage Vpm immediately after the rapid increase.
- the microcomputer 44 is configured to offset-correct the output value of the PM detection voltage Vpm.
- the present disclosure is not limited to this configuration, and may be configured to offset-correct the abnormality determination threshold Th1. Good.
- the microcomputer 44 calculates the change amount ⁇ Vpm before and after the rapid increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm as described above (step S14). (See S15). If both the determinations in steps S17 and S18 are YES, the microcomputer 44 offsets the abnormality determination threshold value Th1 to the increase side in step S19 with the change amount ⁇ Vpm as the correction value Vst.
- the microcomputer 44 sets the corrected abnormality determination threshold value Th1c to the following equation (5).
- Th1c Th1 + Vst (5)
- the microcomputer 44 changes the amount of change ⁇ Vpm before and after the sudden increase in the PM detection voltage Vpm and the amount of change before and after the sudden decrease in the PM detection voltage Vpm. The difference from ⁇ Vpm is calculated.
- the microcomputer 44 sets the above difference as the correction value Vst and offsets the abnormality determination threshold Th1 to the offset correction, that is, offsets to the decrease side.
- the microcomputer 44 sets the corrected abnormality determination threshold value Th1c to the following equation (6).
- Th1c Th1c + Vst (6)
- the above equation (6) represents that the abnormality determination threshold Th1c is offset correction, that is, offset to the decrease side.
- the abnormality determination period is set as a period from when the sensor regeneration process after the engine 11 is started until the predetermined time elapses, this may be changed.
- the ECU 20 may be configured to perform a sensor regeneration process while the engine 11 is in operation, and set an abnormality determination period after the sensor regeneration process.

Description

Vpmc=Vpm-Vst (1)
Vpmc=Vpm-Vst (1)
Vst(x)=Vst(x-1)+ΔVpm (2)
Vst(x)=Vst(x-1)+ΔVpm (2)
Vst=ΔVpm2-ΔVpm1 (3)
Vst=ΔVpm2-ΔVpm1 (3)
Vpmc=Vpm-Vst (4)
Vpmc=Vpm-Vst (4)

Th1c=Th1+Vst (5)
Th1c=Th1c+Vst (6)
Th1c=Th1+Vst (5)
Th1c=Th1c+Vst (6)
