Claims (8)
- 溶離液の流れる溶離液流路及びサプレス溶液の流れるサプレス流路を有し、前記溶離液流路と前記サプレス流路とがイオン交換膜を隔てて設けられているサプレッサと、
前記サプレッサの前記サプレス流路の入口と出口とを接続して前記サプレス溶液を循環させる循環流路と、
前記循環流路上に設けられたイオン交換樹脂カラムであって、前記サプレッサから流出したサプレス溶液を通液させる樹脂収容部を備え、その樹脂収容部内に酸性又はアルカリ性のイオン交換樹脂が収容されているイオン交換樹脂カラムと、
前記イオン交換樹脂カラム内の前記イオン交換樹脂の寿命を判定する寿命検知部と、を備えたサプレッサシステム。 - 前記イオン交換樹脂カラムの前記樹脂収容部の上端部分に、前記樹脂収容部内の前記イオン交換樹脂の体積変化によって光透過性が変化する光透過部が設けられており、
前記寿命検知部は、前記イオン交換樹脂カラムの前記光透過部に向けて光を発する光源及び前記光透過部における光透過性の変化を検出する光検出器を有し、前記光検出器の出力信号に基づいて、前記イオン交換樹脂の寿命を検知するように構成されている請求項1に記載のサプレッサシステム。 - 前記イオン交換樹脂は陽イオンの吸着に起因して体積が減少する強酸性陽イオン交換樹脂であり、
前記寿命検知部は、前記光検出器の検出信号に基づいて、前記光透過部における光透過性が向上したときに、前記イオン交換樹脂の寿命を検知する請求項2に記載のサプレッサシステム。 - 前記イオン交換樹脂は陰イオンの吸着に起因して体積が増加する弱アルカリ性陰イオン交換樹脂であり、
前記寿命検知部は、前記光検出器の検出信号に基づいて、前記光透過部における光透過性が低下したときに、前記イオン交換樹脂の寿命を検知する請求項2に記載のサプレッサシステム。 - 前記光源は、前記イオン交換樹脂カラムの前記樹脂収容部の上端部から、当該イオン交換樹脂の上端部の最大変位量の50%程度低い位置に水平方向に光を照射するように配置されている請求項2から4のいずれか一項に記載のサプレッサシステム。
- 前記光源から前記樹脂収容部に照射される光の直径は、前記樹脂収容部の長さの0.5%以下である請求項2から5のいずれか一項に記載のサプレッサシステム。
- 前記寿命検知部は、前記イオン交換樹脂カラムから流出した液の導電率又はpHを測定するサプレス溶液測定部を有し、前記サプレス溶液測定部により測定される導電率又はpHの変化に基づいて前記イオン交換樹脂の寿命を検知するように構成されている請求項1に記載のサプレッサシステム。
- イオン交換樹脂が収容されている樹脂収容部を有するイオン交換カラムにおける該イオン交換カラムを鉛直向きに配置したときに前記樹脂収容部の上端部分となる部分の少なくとも一部を、前記樹脂収容部内の前記イオン交換樹脂の体積変化に応じて光透過性が変化する光透過部とし、その光透過部における光透過性の変化に基づいて該イオン交換樹脂カラムに収容されているイオン交換樹脂の寿命を判定するイオン交換樹脂カラムの寿命判定方法。
