Abstract
道路情報取得部(12a)が、アクセル開度が第1の開度で走行する車両(1)の前方の所定区間における道路の情報を取得し、車両情報取得部(12b)が、車両(1)の情報を取得し、速度予測部(12c)が、道路の情報、及び、車両の情報に基づいて、アクセル開度が第1の開度よりも大きい第2の開度で走行した場合の所定区間における車速の推移を予測し、アクセル制御部(12d)が、予測された車速の最小値が目標速度よりも小さい場合に、車両(1)のアクセル開度が第2の開度となるようアクセル開度を制御する。
Description
本発明は、車速が目標速度となるよう車両の走行を制御する走行制御装置、及び、走行制御方法に関する。
従来、自動車などの車両の速度(車速)を目標速度に維持するオートクルーズの技術が開発されている。例えば、特許文献1には、車両が平地から坂道に入った場合に車速の乱れを起こさないようにし、搭乗者が違和感を覚えることを防止するオートクルーズ制御装置が開示されている。
具体的には、このオートクルーズ制御装置は、進行方向前方を撮像装置により撮像し、撮影された画像から道路の勾配を検出する。そして、オートクルーズ制御装置は、上述した車速の乱れが生じない燃料噴射量を、道路の勾配と目標速度とから算出し、坂道の手前の位置からその燃料噴射量でエンジンを駆動する。
しかしながら、上述した特許文献1の従来の技術では、撮像装置により撮像された画像に基づいて道路の勾配を検出しているため、上り坂の先に下り坂が隠れており、また上り坂となるような道路では、道路の勾配を正しく検知することが難しい。その結果、燃料噴射量が適切に算出されず、燃費が悪化する可能性もある。
本発明は上記の問題に鑑みてなされたものであり、その課題は、ある区間において道路勾配が変化する登坂路を走行する場合であっても、燃費を悪化させることなく登坂路を登ることができ、不要なシフトダウンが行われることを回避しつつ、頂上に到達するまでの時間を短縮することができる走行制御装置、及び、走行制御方法を提供することである。
上記の課題を解決するため、本発明の走行制御装置は、車速が目標速度となるよう車両の走行を制御する走行制御装置であって、アクセル開度が第1の開度で走行する車両の前方の所定区間における道路の情報を取得する道路情報取得部と、車両の情報を取得する車両情報取得部と、道路の情報、及び、車両の情報に基づいて、アクセル開度が第1の開度よりも大きい第2の開度で車両が走行した場合の所定区間における車速の推移を予測する速度予測部と、速度予測部により予測された車速の最小値が目標速度よりも小さい場合に、車両のアクセル開度が第2の開度となるようアクセル開度を制御するアクセル制御部と、を備える。
本発明の走行制御方法は、車速が目標速度となるよう車両の走行を制御する走行制御方法であって、アクセル開度が第1の開度で走行する車両の前方の所定区間における道路の情報を取得する道路情報取得ステップと、車両の情報を取得する車両情報取得ステップと、道路の情報、及び、車両の情報に基づいて、アクセル開度が第1の開度よりも大きい第2の開度で車両が走行した場合の所定区間における車速の推移を予測する速度予測ステップと、速度予測ステップにおいて予測された車速の最小値が目標速度よりも小さい場合に、車両のアクセル開度が第2の開度となるようアクセル開度を制御するアクセル制御ステップと、を含む。
本発明によれば、ある区間において道路勾配が変化する登坂路を走行する場合であっても、燃費を悪化させることなく登坂路を登ることができ、不要なシフトダウンが行われることを回避しつつ、頂上に到達するまでの時間を短縮することができる。
以下、本発明の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係る自動走行装置2の構成の一例を示すブロック図である。また、図2は、図1に示した自動走行制御装置12の構成の一例を示すブロック図である。
なお、図1では、エンジン3が直列6気筒のディーゼルエンジンであるものとして説明するが、本発明は、ガソリンエンジンにも適用することができ、その気筒の数や配列は特に限定されない。また、車両1がディーゼルエンジンを搭載したトラックなどの大型車両である場合を例として説明するが、本発明はトラックなどの大型車両に限定されない。
図1に示すように、この実施形態の自動走行装置2が搭載される車両1において、エンジン3の動力は、クラッチ4を経由して変速機(トランスミッション)5に伝達され、変速機5より推進軸(プロペラシャフト)6を介して差動装置(デフアレンシャルギヤ)7に伝達され、さらに、差動装置7より駆動軸(ドライブシャフト)8を介して車輪9に伝達される。これにより、エンジン3の動力が車輪9に伝達されて車両1が走行する。
本実施形態の自動走行装置2は、エンジン3の出力、クラッチ4の断接、及び変速機5の変速を制御して、車両1を自動走行させる装置であり、複数の制御装置を備える。
具体的には、自動走行装置2は、エンジン3の出力を制御するエンジン用ECU(エンジン用制御装置)10、クラッチ4の断接及び変速機5の変速を制御する動力伝達用ECU(動力伝達用制御装置)11、及び、車両1の自動走行を制御する自動走行制御装置12を備えている。
エンジン用ECU10、動力伝達用ECU11、自動走行制御装置12はそれぞれ、マイクロコントローラにより構成される。そして、エンジン用ECU10、動力伝達用ECU11、及び、自動走行制御装置12は、車載ネットワークにより相互に接続され、必要なデータや制御信号を相互にやり取りしている。
また、自動走行装置2は、図示しない運転席のダッシュボードに、目標車速設定装置13、及び、増減値設定装置14を備え、これら目標車速設定装置13、及び、増減値設定装置14は、自動走行制御装置12に接続される。
目標車速設定装置13は、車両1の自動走行が開始される前に、運転手によって手動で操作され、車両1の自動走行時の目標車速V’[km/h]が設定される装置である。運転手により目標車速設定装置13に目標車速V’が設定されると、その目標車速V’は自動走行制御装置12に送信され、自動走行制御装置12が有する記憶装置に記憶される。
また、増減値設定装置14は、車両1の自動走行が開始される前で、かつ目標車速V’が設定された後に、運転手によって操作され、車両1の自動走行時の速度減少値-va[km/h]、及び、速度増加値+vb[km/h]の両方が設定される装置である。
運転手により増減値設定装置14に速度減少値-va、及び、速度増加値+vbの両方が設定されると、速度減少値-va、及び、速度増加値+vbは自動走行制御装置12に送信され、自動走行制御装置12が有する記憶装置に記憶される。
また、自動走行制御装置12は、目標車速V’に速度減少値-va、及び、速度増加値+vbのそれぞれを加算して下限目標車速Va’[km/h]、及び、上限目標車速Vb’[km/h]を算出し、算出したそれらの値を自動走行制御装置12が有する記憶装置に記憶する。
例えば、目標車速V’を80km/h、速度減少値-vaを-5km/h、速度増加値+vbを+10km/hとした場合、下限目標車速Va’は75km/hとなり、上限目標車速Vb’は90km/hとなる。なお、速度減少値-va、及び、速度増加値+vbはゼロに設定されてもよい。
下限目標車速Va’及び上限目標車速Vb’は、車両1の自動走行時に運転手が許容することができる車速V[km/h]の範囲となる。
また、道路情報取得装置20は、前方道路の道路情報を取得するための装置である。前方道路とは、車両の現在位置から車両の進行方向に延在する道路である。
例えば、道路情報取得装置20は、衛星測位システム(GPS)の受信機である現在位置取得装置21と、前走車や並走車などの周囲の走行車両との距離や車速差を検知する周囲センサ22と、を備える。
車両情報取得装置30は、車両1の車両情報を取得するための装置である。例えば、車両情報取得装置30は、アクセルペダルの踏み込み量を検出するアクセルセンサ31、ブレーキペダルの踏み込みの有無を検出するブレーキスイッチ32、シフトレバー33、ターンシグナルスイッチ34、及び、車両1の車速Vを検出する車速センサ35を含む。また、エンジン用ECU10と動力伝達用ECU11も車両情報取得装置30に含まれる。
制動装置40は、車両1に制動力を付与する装置である。制動装置40には、フットブレーキ41やリターダ42、エンジン用ECU10、動力伝達用ECU11により制御される排気ブレーキなどの補助ブレーキ43が含まれる。
図2に示すように、自動走行制御装置12は、道路情報取得部12a、車両情報取得部12b、速度予測部12c、アクセル制御部12d、を備える。
道路情報取得部12aは、車両1の現在地点の前方の所定区間における道路情報を取得する。
具体的には、道路情報取得部12aは、現在位置取得装置21が取得した現在位置、及び、予め記憶しておいた地図データなどから前方道路を決定すると共に、取得される前方道路の所定区間の道路勾配や前方道路の所定区間に設けられたカーブ、信号の有無の情報などを取得する。また、道路情報取得部12aは、周囲センサ22が検知した周囲の走行車両との距離や車速差などの情報を取得する。
なお、道路情報取得部12aは、車両1の速度に応じて所定区間を決定することとしてもよい。例えば、道路情報取得部12aは、現在の車速と所定の時間との積から距離を算出し、前方道路のうち、車両1の現在地点からその距離までの区間を所定区間として設定することとしてもよい。
車両情報取得部12bは、車両1を自動走行させるために必要な車両情報を取得する。
具体的には、車両情報取得部12bは、アクセルセンサ31により検出されたアクセルペダルの踏み込み量、ブレーキスイッチ32により検出されたブレーキペダルの踏み込みの有無、シフトレバー33やターンシグナルスイッチ34の操作、車速センサ35により検出された車両1の車速V、エンジン用ECU10、及び、動力伝達用ECU11で使用されるエンジン3の出力情報、車両1の重量、及び、変速機5の変速段の情報などを取得する。
なお、道路情報取得部12aと車両情報取得部12bとが取得する情報は、上記のものに限定されず、車両1を自動走行させるために必要となる他の情報を取得することとしてもよい。また、取得する情報に合わせて、道路情報取得装置20や車両情報取得装置30に設けられる装置を変更したり、増やしたりしてもよい。
速度予測部12cは、道路情報と車両情報とに基づいて、アクセル開度が全開で車両1が走行した場合の所定区間における車両1の速度の推移を予測する。速度予測部12cによる車速の予測方法については後に詳しく説明する。
アクセル制御部12dは、速度予測部12cにより予測された所定区間における車速の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さく、かつ、速度予測部12cにより予測された速度の最小値が目標車速V’よりも小さい場合に、車両1のアクセル開度が全開となるようアクセルを制御する。上限目標車速Vb’及び目標車速V’は、運転者によって設定された車速であり、車両情報として得られる。
このように、目標車速V’を下回ることが判明した時点でアクセル開度を全開にすることにより、早い段階で車速を増加させることができるので、登坂路において不要なシフトダウンが行われることが抑制され、燃費が向上し、さらに頂上に到達するまでの時間を短縮することができる。
また、予測された車速の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さい場合にアクセル開度を全開にすることにより、車速が上限速度を超えない範囲で登坂路を登るように車両1を制御できる。
さらに、アクセス開度を全開にすることにより、登坂路において不要なシフトダウンが行われることがさらに抑制され、燃費がさらに向上し、頂上に到達するまでの時間をさらに短縮することができる。
次に、速度予測部12cにおける車速の予測方法について説明する。現在の車速をVn[km/h]、L[m]先の前方位置の予測された車速をVn+1[km/h]とすると、VnとVn+1の関係は次式(1)により表わされる。
また、G[km/h2]は現在の変速段において、アクセル開度を全開にして走行するとした場合の加速度であり、次式(3)を用いて算出される。
ここで、tq[kgf・m]は現在の変速段で車速Vnで走行する場合のエンジン3の最大トルク、rtは現在の変速段のギヤ比、rfはファイナルギヤのギヤ比、ηは伝達効率、tr[m]はタイヤ半径、M[kg]は車両重量、rrcは転がり抵抗係数、arc[kgf/(km/h)2]は空気抵抗係数である。これらの情報は、車両情報取得部12bが取得する車両情報に含まれる。
式(1)~(3)を用いることにより、速度予測部12cは、現在の車速V0を初期値として、現在位置からmL(m=1、2、・・・)だけ先の車速Vmを予測することができる。
次に、本発明の一実施形態に係るアクセル開度変更要否判定処理の一例について説明する。図3は、本発明の一実施形態に係るアクセル開度変更要否判定処理の一例を示す図である。
図3には、平坦な道路を走行している車両1と、そこから5Lだけ前方の登坂路を走行している車両1’が示されている。また、図3に示すグラフには予測された車速の推移が示されている。
図3の場合、予測された速度V1の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さく、かつ、予測された速度の最小値V5が目標車速V’よりも小さくなっている。この場合、アクセル制御部12dは、アクセル開度を全開にすべきと判定し、現在の車両の位置、つまり平坦な道路上で、アクセル開度が全開となるよう制御を行う。
次に、本発明の一実施形態に係る走行制御の処理手順の一例について説明する。図4は、本発明の一実施形態に係る走行制御の処理手順の一例を示すフローチャートである。
まず、道路情報取得部12aは、前方道路を決定し(ステップS11)、前方道路の道路情報を取得する(ステップS12)。そして、車両情報取得部12bは、車両状況の情報を取得する(ステップS13)。
続いて、速度予測部12cは、道路情報と車両情報とに基づいて、アクセル開度が全開で車両1が走行した場合の所定区間における車両1の車速の推移を予測する(ステップS14)。
次に、アクセル制御部12dは、速度予測部12cにより予測された車速の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さく、かつ、速度予測部12cにより予測された速度の最小値が目標車速V’よりも小さいか否かを判定する(ステップS15)。
そして、予測された車速の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さく、かつ、予測された車速の最小値が目標車速V’よりも小さい場合(ステップS15においてYESの場合)、アクセル制御部12dは、現在の車両の位置、つまり、平坦な道路上で、アクセル開度が全開となるようアクセル開度を制御する(ステップS16)。
ステップS16の処理の後、または、ステップS15において予測された車速の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さく、かつ、予測された車速の最小値が目標車速V’よりも小さいという条件が満たされない場合(ステップS15においてNOの場合)、アクセル制御部12dは、アクセル制御を終了するか否かを判定する(ステップS17)。
例えば、アクセル制御部12dは、運転者から自動走行を終了する指示があった場合、あるいは、この変速制御を終了すると判定する。一方、アクセル制御部12dは、走行中に変速段の切替えが行われた場合、アクセル制御を終了しないと判定する。
アクセル制御部12dは、アクセル制御を終了すると判定した場合(ステップS17においてYESの場合)、アクセル制御を終了する。また、アクセル制御部12dがアクセル制御を終了しないと判定した場合(ステップS17においてNOの場合)、ステップS11以降の処理が再度実行される。
なお、以上説明した本発明の一実施形態では、速度予測部12cは、車両1が前方道路の所定区間を現在の変速段でアクセル開度を全開にして走行とするとした場合の車速の推移を予測するとしたが、本発明はこれに限定されない。
例えば、速度予測部12cは、アクセル開度が全開でなくても、現在のアクセル開度以上のアクセル開度にして走行するとした場合の車速の推移を予測してもよい。
この場合も、速度予測部12cにより予測された車速の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さく、かつ、速度予測部12cにより予測された速度の最小値が目標車速V’よりも小さい場合、アクセル制御部12dは、現在の車両の位置、つまり、平坦な道路上で、アクセル開度が全開となるようアクセル開度を制御する。
また、車速の最大値が上限目標車速Vb’より小さいという条件は、必ずしも考慮されなくともよい。
以上説明したように、本実施形態によれば、車速が目標速度となるよう車両1の走行を制御する自動走行制御装置12の道路情報取得部12aが、アクセル開度が第1の開度で走行する車両1の前方の所定区間における道路の情報を取得し、車両情報取得部12bが、車両の情報を取得し、速度予測部12cが、道路の情報、及び、車両の情報に基づいて、アクセル開度が第1の開度よりも大きい第2の開度で車両1が走行した場合の所定区間における車速の推移を予測し、アクセル制御部12dが、速度予測部12cにより予測された車速の最小値が目標速度よりも小さい場合に、車両1のアクセル開度が第2の開度となるようアクセル開度を制御する。これにより、ある区間において道路勾配が変化する登坂路を走行する場合であっても、燃費を悪化させることなく登坂路を登ることができ、不要なシフトダウンが行われることを回避しつつ、頂上に到達するまでの時間を短縮することができる。
また、本実施形態によれば、アクセル制御部12dが、速度予測部12cにより予測された車速の最大値が所定の上限値より小さく、かつ、速度予測部12cにより予測された車速の最小値が目標速度よりも小さい場合に、車両1のアクセル開度が第2の開度となるようアクセル開度を制御する。これにより、車速が上限速度を超えない範囲で登坂路を登るように車両1を制御できる。
また、本実施形態によれば、第2の開度が全開であることを特徴とする。これにより、登坂路において不要なシフトダウンが行われることがさらに抑制され、燃費がさらに向上し、頂上に到達するまでの時間をさらに短縮することができる。
また、本実施形態によれば、道路情報取得部12aが、車両の現在速度に応じて所定区間を決定する。これにより、車速を予測する所定区間をより適切に変更できる。

本発明は、車速が目標速度となるよう車両の走行を制御する走行制御装置、及び、走行制御方法に利用することができる。

Claims (6)
- 車速が目標速度となるよう車両の走行を制御する走行制御装置であって、
アクセル開度が第1の開度で走行する前記車両の前方の所定区間における道路の情報を取得する道路情報取得部と、
前記車両の情報を取得する車両情報取得部と、
前記道路の情報、及び、前記車両の情報に基づいて、前記アクセル開度が前記第1の開度よりも大きい第2の開度で前記車両が走行した場合の前記所定区間における車速の推移を予測する速度予測部と、
前記速度予測部により予測された車速の最小値が前記目標速度よりも小さい場合に、前記車両のアクセル開度が前記第2の開度となるようアクセル開度を制御するアクセル制御部と、
を備える走行制御装置。 - 前記アクセル制御部は、前記速度予測部により予測された車速の最大値が所定の上限値より小さく、かつ、前記速度予測部により予測された車速の最小値が前記目標速度よりも小さい場合に、前記車両のアクセル開度が前記第2の開度となるよう前記アクセル開度を制御する、
請求項1に記載の走行制御装置。 - 前記第2の開度が全開であることを特徴とする、
請求項1に記載の走行制御装置。 - 前記道路情報取得部は、前記車両の現在速度に応じて前記所定区間を決定する、
請求項1に記載の走行制御装置。 - 前記車両情報取得部は、前記車両においてシフトダウンが行われた場合に、前記車両の情報を再度取得し、前記速度予測部は、前記車速の推移を再度予測する、
請求項1に記載の走行制御装置。 - 車速が目標速度となるよう車両の走行を制御する走行制御方法であって、
アクセル開度が第1の開度で走行する前記車両の前方の所定区間における道路の情報を取得する道路情報取得ステップと、
前記車両の情報を取得する車両情報取得ステップと、
前記道路の情報、及び、前記車両の情報に基づいて、前記アクセル開度が前記第1の開度よりも大きい第2の開度で前記車両が走行した場合の前記所定区間における車速の推移を予測する速度予測ステップと、
前記速度予測ステップにおいて予測された車速の最小値が前記目標速度よりも小さい場合に、前記車両のアクセル開度が前記第2の開度となるようアクセル開度を制御するアクセル制御ステップと、
を含む走行制御方法。
