La configuration du système est caractérisée par le fait qu'il comprend: un réservoir de stockage d'eau relié à un trou de drainage d'eau d'un évier public par l'intermédiaire d'un tuyau d'alimentation en eau drainée de manière à stocker de l'eau drainée provenant de l'évier public; une partie filtrante installée à l'intérieur du réservoir de stockage d'eau afin de filtrer l'eau fournie par l'évier public; une partie pour l'alimentation en eau qui sert à acheminer, de manière séparée, l'eau à des toilettes, par l'intermédiaire d'un tuyau d'alimentation en eau pour utiliser l'eau filtrée à l'intérieur du réservoir de stockage d'eau pour le lavage d'une cuvette de toilettes; et une partie pour le remplissage en eau qui fournit de l'eau courante lorsque la quantité d'eau stockée dans le réservoir de stockage d'eau est en dessous d'un niveau défini.
