例えば、基地局100(選択部153)は、複数のコードブックグループのうちの、上記複数のレイヤ(即ち、コードブックを用いた非直交多重化の対象となる複数のレイヤ)に対応するコードブックグループを選択する。そして、基地局100(通信処理部159)は、上記コードブックグループに基づいて、上記複数のレイヤについての通信処理を行う。
(a-1)第1のコードブックグループ/第2のコードブックグループ
例えば、上記複数のコードブックグループは、少なくとも、第1の数のレイヤに対応する第1のコードブックグループと、上記第1の数よりも小さい第2の数のレイヤに対応する第2のコードブックグループとを含む。
例えば、上記第1の数のレイヤは、許容可能な最大数のレイヤであり、上記第2の数のレイヤは、許容可能な最大数よりも小さい数のレイヤである。
--第1のコードブックグループの選択
例えば、基地局100(選択部153)は、上記複数のレイヤ(即ち、コードブックを用いた非直交多重化の対象となる複数のレイヤ)のレイヤ数が上記第1の数(例えば6)である場合に、上記複数のコードブックグループのうちの、上記第1のコードブックグループを選択する。
例えば、基地局100(選択部153)は、上記複数のレイヤのレイヤ数が上記第2の数(例えば5)である場合に、上記複数のコードブックグループのうちの、上記第2のコードブックグループを選択する。
--第1のコードブックグループ及び第2のコードブックグループ
例えば、上記第2のコードブックグループに含まれる少なくとも1つのコードブックは、上記第1のコードブックグループに含まれるいずれのコードブックとも、異なる変調度の信号要素を含むコードワードを含む。より具体的には、例えば、上記第2のコードブックグループに含まれる上記少なくとも1つのコードブックは、上記第1のコードブックグループに含まれるいずれのコードブックよりも、より高い変調度の信号要素を含むコードワードを含む。例えば、より高い変調度の当該信号要素は、より少数のレイヤの信号要素がマッピングされる無線リソースにマッピングされる信号要素である。
例えば、上記第2のコードブックグループは、少なくとも、第1の変調度の信号要素、及び上記第1の変調度とは異なる第2の変調度の信号要素とを含む。
なお、上記第1の変調度及び上記第2の変調度の各々は、BPSK(Binary Phase shift Keying)、QPSK(Quadrature Phase shift Keying)、8PSK(Phase shift Keying)、16QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation)、64QAMのいずれかの変調度と同等の変調度であってもよく、他の任意の変調度であってもよい。
--第1のコードブックグループ及び第2のコードブックグループ
例えば、上記第2のコードブックグループに含まれる少なくとも1つのコードブックは、上記第1のコードブックグループに含まれるいずれのコードブックよりも、より多数のコードワードを含む。換言すると、上記少なくとも1つのコードブックは、上記第1のコードブックグループに含まれるいずれのコードブックよりも、より大きいサイズのデータを対象とする。
例えば、上記第2のコードブックグループに含まれる第1のコードブックは、上記第2のコードブックグループに含まれる第2のコードブックよりも、より多くのコードワードを含む。換言すると、上記第1のコードブックは、上記第2のコードブックよりも、より大きいサイズのデータを対象とする。
例えば、基地局100(通信処理部159)は、各レイヤのデータレートを制御する。より具体的には、例えば、基地局100(通信処理部159)は、各レイヤで送信するデータのサイズを制御する。なお、基地局100は、データレートの制御のために、レート制御バッファを備えてもよい。
例えば、上記複数のコードブックグループは、上記第1のコードブック(例えば、第1の数のレイヤに対応するコードブック)及び上記第2のコードブック(例えば、第2の数のレイヤに対応するコードブック)以外のコードブックをさらに含む。
-コードブックグループの通知
例えば、基地局100(通知部157)は、上記コードブックグループ(即ち、上記複数のコードブックグループの中から選択されるコードブックグループ)を端末装置200に通知する。
あるいは、基地局100(通知部157)は、上記複数のレイヤ、又は上記複数のレイヤのレイヤ数を、端末装置200に通知してもよい。
基地局100(通知部157)は、上記複数のコードブックグループを端末装置200に通知してもよい。
例えば、端末装置200(通信処理部243)は、上記複数のコードブックグループのうちの、上記複数のレイヤに対応するコードブックグループに基づいて、上記レイヤについての上記通信処理を行う。当該通信処理については、上述したとおりである。
基地局100は、端末装置200が基地局100に近接している場合に(即ち、SN比(Signal-to-Noise Ratio)が十分に良好であり、干渉の影響が支配的である場合に)、コードブックグループの選択、及び当該コードブックグループに基づく通信処理を行ってもよい。
続いて、図15及び図16を参照して、本開示の実施形態に係る処理の例を説明する。
図15は、本開示の実施形態に係る処理の概略的な流れの第1の例を示すフローチャートである。当該第1の例は、コードブックを用いた非直交多重化がダウンリンクについて行われる例である。
図16は、本開示の実施形態に係る処理の概略的な流れの第2の例を示すフローチャートである。当該第2の例は、コードブックを用いた非直交多重化がアップリンクについて行われる例である。
本開示に係る技術は、様々な製品へ応用可能である。例えば、基地局100は、マクロeNB又はスモールeNBなどのいずれかの種類のeNB(evolved Node B)として実現されてもよい。スモールeNBは、ピコeNB、マイクロeNB又はホーム(フェムト)eNBなどの、マクロセルよりも小さいセルをカバーするeNBであってよい。その代わりに、基地局100は、NodeB又はBTS(Base Transceiver Station)などの他の種類の基地局として実現されてもよい。基地局100は、無線通信を制御する本体(基地局装置ともいう)と、本体とは別の場所に配置される1つ以上のRRH(Remote Radio Head)とを含んでもよい。また、後述する様々な種類の端末が一時的に又は半永続的に基地局機能を実行することにより、基地局100として動作してもよい。さらに、基地局100の少なくとも一部の構成要素は、基地局装置又は基地局装置のためのモジュールにおいて実現されてもよい。
(第1の応用例)
図17は、本開示に係る技術が適用され得るeNBの概略的な構成の第1の例を示すブロック図である。eNB800は、1つ以上のアンテナ810、及び基地局装置820を有する。各アンテナ810及び基地局装置820は、RFケーブルを介して互いに接続され得る。
図18は、本開示に係る技術が適用され得るeNBの概略的な構成の第2の例を示すブロック図である。eNB830は、1つ以上のアンテナ840、基地局装置850、及びRRH860を有する。各アンテナ840及びRRH860は、RFケーブルを介して互いに接続され得る。また、基地局装置850及びRRH860は、光ファイバケーブルなどの高速回線で互いに接続され得る。
(第1の応用例)
図19は、本開示に係る技術が適用され得るスマートフォン900の概略的な構成の一例を示すブロック図である。スマートフォン900は、プロセッサ901、メモリ902、ストレージ903、外部接続インタフェース904、カメラ906、センサ907、マイクロフォン908、入力デバイス909、表示デバイス910、スピーカ911、無線通信インタフェース912、1つ以上のアンテナスイッチ915、1つ以上のアンテナ916、バス917、バッテリー918及び補助コントローラ919を備える。
図20は、本開示に係る技術が適用され得るカーナビゲーション装置920の概略的な構成の一例を示すブロック図である。カーナビゲーション装置920は、プロセッサ921、メモリ922、GPS(Global Positioning System)モジュール924、センサ925、データインタフェース926、コンテンツプレーヤ927、記憶媒体インタフェース928、入力デバイス929、表示デバイス930、スピーカ931、無線通信インタフェース933、1つ以上のアンテナスイッチ936、1つ以上のアンテナ937及びバッテリー938を備える。
ここまで、図5~図20を参照して、本開示の実施形態に係る装置及び処理を説明した。

を備える装置。 - 前記通知部は、ダウンリンク制御情報の中で、前記レイヤを前記端末装置に通知する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記通知部は、前記ダウンリンク制御情報の中で、前記レイヤのコードワードの送信に使用される無線リソースを前記端末装置に通知する、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 複数のコードブックグループのうちの、前記複数のレイヤに対応するコードブックグループを選択する選択部と、
前記コードブックグループに基づいて、前記複数のレイヤについての通信処理を行う通信処理部と、

- 前記送信処理は、前記複数のレイヤの各々について、レイヤのデータから当該レイヤのコードワードを生成することを含む、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記通信処理は、前記複数のレイヤについての受信処理である、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記通知部は、前記コードブックグループ、又は、前記複数のレイヤ若しくは前記複数のレイヤのレイヤ数を、前記端末装置に通知する、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記複数のレイヤの各々を端末装置に割り当てる割当部をさらに備え、
前記割当部は、トラフィックの変化に応じて、前記非直交多重化の対象となる前記複数のレイヤのレイヤ数を変更する、
