Definitions
- the present invention relates to a water scatter prevention hood used by being attached to a shower head.
- the hair may be washed with the shower head as close to the head as possible in order to enhance the cleaning effect or massage effect.
- a hood water scattering prevention hood
- a water drain opening is provided on the wall surface of the hood (for example, Patent Documents 1 to 3).
- the water scatter prevention hood having a drain opening on the wall surface which has been known so far, has the following problems. That is, in order to drain water efficiently, it is necessary to enlarge the opening. However, if the opening is made too large, the original function of preventing water scattering is impaired. In this way, there are conflicting demands such as “I want to increase the drainage opening for efficient drainage” and “Inadequate if the drainage opening is too large to increase the water splash prevention effect”. In reality, the size of the drain opening is determined with an appropriate compromise.
- the present invention was devised in view of the above-described conventional circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a water scatter prevention hood with improved both “water splash prevention effect” and “water draining effect”.
- the water scatter prevention hood of the present invention is attached to a shower head provided with a nozzle from which water is blown, and includes a “cylindrical body surrounding the nozzle opening and connected to the shower head” and “cylinder”. And a plurality of protruding plates alternately arranged in a staggered manner with a gap on the end face of the main body. The plurality of projecting plates prevent the water ejected from the ejection openings from scattering to the surroundings, and flushes the water out from the gaps between the projecting plates.
- a plurality of protruding plates are alternately arranged in a staggered manner with a gap on the end surface of the cylindrical main body. For this reason, the water discharge flow path from the inside of the hood to the outside meanders. At that location, there is no path for water to linearly jump from the inside of the hood toward the outside, so that the water can be prevented from splashing to the outside vigorously. At the same time, there are gaps between the respective projecting plates. By appropriately setting the gaps, water can flow out slowly with a sufficient amount of water.

- FIG. 2B is a bottom view showing a state where a water scatter preventing hood is mounted from the state of FIG. 2A.

- FIG. 2A shows a bottom view of only the shower head 2 as viewed from directly below
- FIG. 2B shows a state in which the water scatter preventing hood 1 is attached thereto.
- the shower head 2 includes a large number of protrusions 3, and an ejection opening 4 is provided therebetween.
- the ejection opening 4 is connected to a nozzle provided inside the shower head 2, and the water flow that has passed through the nozzle is ejected from the ejection opening 4.
- the protrusion 3 is provided to increase the massage effect by contacting the scalp, but is not an essential requirement in the present invention. That is, the water scatter preventing hood 1 of the present invention can be used by being attached to a shower head that does not have such a protrusion 3.
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing only the water scatter prevention hood 1 taken out.
- FIG. 4 is a bottom view of the water scatter prevention hood 1 as seen from directly below.
- the water scatter preventing hood 1 includes a cylindrical main body 10 connected to a shower head and a plurality of projecting plates 20 and 30 provided on an end surface 11 of the cylindrical main body.
- the cylindrical main body 10 of the water scatter preventing hood 1 is connected to the shower head 2 so as to surround all the ejection openings 4 from the outside.
- the plurality of projecting plates 20 and 30 are positioned on two virtual concentric circles “X” and “Y” having different diameters.
- each projecting plate located on the inner concentric circle “X” is referred to as “inner projecting plate 20”
- each projecting plate located on the outer concentric circle “Y” is referred to as “outer projecting plate 30”.
- the “inner protruding plate 20” and the “outer protruding plate 30” are alternately arranged in a staggered manner with a gap between each protruding plate.
- a flow path “L” is formed in the gap.
- FIG. 5A is a partially enlarged view of the bottom surface of the water scatter preventing hood 1 shown in FIG. 4, and includes two outer protruding plates 30 and one inner protruding plate 20.
- FIG. 5B shows a state in which the portion is viewed from the side of the water scatter preventing hood 1.
- the central inner projecting plate 20 is drawn a little higher than the outer projecting plates 30 on both sides, but this is for the purpose of clarity of illustration, and in fact all the projecting plates 20, 30 have the same height. It is preferable.
- the central inner projecting plate 20 is drawn a little higher than the outer projecting plates 30 on both sides, but this is for the purpose of clarity of illustration, and in
- the width “K” of the inner protruding plate 20 is larger than the interval “J” between two adjacent outer protruding plates 30, and the inner protruding plate 20 extends over the entire width “J” of the two outer protruding plates 30. Extending in the circumferential direction. That is, when viewed from the side of the hood 1, it is blocked by the inner protruding plate 20 and the outer protruding plate 30, and the other side is invisible. In other words, there is no linear flow path in the radial direction of the cylindrical main body 10, and there is only a meandering flow path "L" as shown in FIG. 5A. As a result, the water is prevented from splashing from the hood 1 to the outside.
- FIG. 5C shows a modification to FIG. 5B.
- the inner protruding plate 20 does not extend over the entire width of the interval “J” between the adjacent outer protruding plates 30, and there is a gap “Q”. That is, a linear flow path exists in the radial direction passing through the gap “Q”.
- the effect of “preventing water from splashing vigorously and flowing out at a sufficient flow rate” described above is inferior to that in the case of FIG. 5B.
- the dimension of the gap “Q” is small, the effect can be sufficiently obtained.
- the projecting plates 20 and 30 are arranged as shown in FIG. 5B over the entire circumference of the cylindrical main body 10.
- the effect can be obtained to some extent. And the effect becomes high, so that the number of the places increases.
- the dimension of the gap “Q” is set as long as the protruding plates 20 and 30 are alternately arranged in a staggered manner with a gap. A certain degree of effect can be obtained by setting it small.
- the “inner row” and the “outer row” are shifted from the center.
- Two circles may be sufficient, and the row
- the circle “X” is an “inner row” and the circle “Y” is an “outer row”.
- cylindrical main body 10 is not cylindrical, an arbitrary shape such as a square cylinder or an elliptic cylinder can be adopted according to the form of the shower head.
