Definitions

  • Drywall profile for drywall constructions having at least one separate
  • the invention relates to a drywall profile for drywall constructions having at least one separate intermediate layer of plasterboards and in particular to a drywall comprising a sub-construction with such a drywall according to the respective independent claim.
  • Drywall profiles according to the invention can be used for building drywalls as well as self-supporting ceilings.
  • the invention relates to the specific aspect, the attachment of the plasterboard to the drywall profile in constructions with three separate layers of plasterboards.
  • the sub-construction of drywalls is installed by use of several drywall profiles as a bottom profile and a ceiling profile which are respectively fixed to the floor or to the ceiling.
  • Stand profiles are connected to the bottom profile and to the ceiling profile and are arranged in a predetermined distance to allow for attaching plasterboards thereon.
  • Standard drywall profiles have a base portion at which a first flange and parallel thereto a second flange is formed.
  • the first flange portion and the second flange portion are metal stripes which form parallel extending outer mounting surfaces.
  • the flange sections are fixed to the base sections so as have a rectangular angle. Hence, outer mounting surfaces are provided to which the plasterboard is attached with drywall screws.
  • the plasterboards are attached to the first and second flange at both sides of the profile.
  • a drywall profile for drywall constructions with at least one separate intermediate layer of plasterboards.
  • the drywall profile comprises a profile section having a base portion at which a first flange and parallel thereto a second flange are formed so that the base portion, the first flange and the second flange are arranged in a u-shaped manner.
  • the base portion comprises at least two pairwise arranged perforations, each of which forming a bendable portion capable of being bent out in a manner to form an abutting flap. Both abutting flaps extend parallel in a distance to allow for arranging a plasterboard of an intermediate layer of plasterboards in between thereof.
  • the drywall profile according to the invention allows for arranging at the base portion thereof a separate intermediate layer of plasterboards.
  • the advantages known from a double profile drywall construction are achieved with only installing a sub- construction comparable to a single stud drywall sub-construction in regard to labor time and space consume.
  • Two parallel abutting flaps are formed to be capable of to clamp the plasterboard of the intermediate layer of plasterboards in between of both. No further separate fixing means (i.e. screw) is needed. That is in particular of advantage for attaching the plasterboard of the intermediate layer of plasterboards to the side of the drywall profile to which the first and second flange protrude.
  • the first and the second flange prevent the use of screws for attaching the plasterboard to the profile insofar as no screw driver can be applied.
  • the applied screw driver would physically interfere with the flange of the profile.
  • u-shaped is to be understood broadly as to include any cross section with parallel extending mounting surfaces.
  • the base portion comprises two pairs of two pairwise arranged perforations which are arranged in a distance to allow for that the plasterboard of the intermediate layer of plasterboards is fixed in the longitudinal direction of the drywall profile.
  • the most robust fastening of the plasterboard to the drywall profile is achieved when the first of the two pairs of two pairwise arranged perforations (and thus, the abutting flap) is arranged close to the bottom and the second perforation of first of the two pairs of two pairwise arranged perforations is arranged close to the ceiling so that there is a maximum distance in between.
  • a further perforation is arranged at the base portion in the longitudinal direction of the drywall profile adjacent to the at least two pairwise arranged perforations so that the plasterboard of the intermediate layer of plasterboards can be additionally fixed.
  • the further perforation allows forming a single abutting flap to which the plasterboard can be additionally attached by screws or an adhesive.
  • two further perforations are arranged along the longitudinal direction at the base portion adjacent to the at least two pairwise arranged perforations.
  • One of the two further perforations is arranged in a first direction from the at least two pairwise arranged perforations and the other one of the two further perforations is arranged in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, from the at least two pairwise arranged perforations.
  • Both further perforations allow forming a further abutting flap.
  • Both further abutting flaps can be bent in the opposite direction from the base portion so as to extend in the opposite direction compared to the pairwise arranged abutting flaps to allow for attaching the next plasterboard to the profile.
  • the perforations are of a c-shape and/or a rectangular shape.
  • the abutting flaps are bent out by bending the bendable portion (preferably on site during application) around a bending axis extending between both ends of each perforation in the longitudinal direction of the drywall profile.
  • the perforation comprises an in-cut portion at both ends thereof. The in-cut portion extends in the direction of the bending axis. The in-cut portion prevents that the perforation tears into the base portion when the bendable portion ' is bent out to form the abutting flap.
  • the distance between two pairwise arranged perforations is such that the distance between parallel extending abutting flaps (bent out bendable portions formed by the perforations) is 12, 5 mm and if the abutting flap has a height of 25 mm from the base portion and of a length of 52 mm in the longitudinal dimension of the base portion.
  • the invention relates to a drywall comprising a sub-structure with drywall profiles arranged in a horizontal and vertical manner.
  • the horizontal profiles are fixed to the floor and the ceiling and the vertical profiles are fixed to the horizontal profiles, wherein the vertical profiles are drywall profiles as described here-above.
  • This drywall allows arranging three separate layers of plasterboards with one separate intermediate layer of plasterboards.
  • the dry wall comprises at least one first outer layer of plasterboards attached to a first flange of the drywall profile and at least one second outer layer of plasterboards arranged to a second flange of the drywall profile.
  • the drywall comprises an intermediate layer of plasterboards fixed to abutting flaps bent out of the base portion of the drywall profile.
  • the drywall further comprises in between of the at least one first outer layer of plasterboards and the intermediate layer of plasterboards as well as in between of the at least one second outer layer of plasterboards and the intermediate layer of plasterboards an insulation material.
  • the insulation material of a material to provide acoustic and fire protection of the system can be a thermal insulating material such as mineral wool types or the like.
  • the drywall comprises in between of the at least one first outer layer of plasterboards and the intermediate layer of plasterboards as well as in between of the at least one second outer layer of plasterboards and the intermediate layer of plasterboards a cable duct.
