Description

MODULE OPTIQUE COMPACT POUR VEHICULE  COMPACT OPTICAL MODULE FOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a compact and standardized optical module comprising a diode light source capable of providing different functions depending on its destination such as, for example, high beam, daytime running lights, position lights.
In the state of the art, we do not know a vehicle incorporating compact and standardized optical modules comprising common parts and different parts, able to become compact optical modules for high beam, low beam, daytime running lights or position lights. US2012 / 0063156 discloses an optical unit comprising a heat sink that emits heat from a light source, and a base portion including a reflection section, a lens mounting section, and a connecting section. connecting the reflector mounting section and the lens mounting section. The optical unit is composed of several specific elements whose assembly between them is not obvious. In addition, the optical unit is fixed in the bottom of a housing on the dissipator by means of studs, a semi-enveloping glass is fixed on the front of the housing in front of the lens of the optical unit. It is understood that this optical unit consists of several complicated parts and not obvious to assemble between them. In addition, this optical unit is specific to a single light.
The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages by providing a compact optical module comprising a diode light source, having a standard piece adapted to receive different complementary parts and easily assembled so as to provide different types of lights on demand.
For this purpose the invention proposes a compact optical module for a vehicle, designed to obtain several types of lamps, comprising a reflector associated with a light source, in particular comprising at least one LED and a lens, differentiated according to the type of fire, assembled on a support, the support being common for all types of lights.
Advantageously, the support receives the lens in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the module, allowing good integration and easily mounting on the support.
According to a variant, the support comprises forwardly advanced areas relative to the side walls whose ends are rounded. This facilitates the mounting of the lens. Optionally, the advanced areas of the support comprise arrangements for centering and clipping the lens. These developments are easily achievable and inexpensive.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the lens comprises at each of its longitudinal edges tabs having at their ends appendices. This allows a good grip of the tabs.
According to one variant, the support receives the deflector along the longitudinal axis of the module.
Advantageously, the advanced areas of the support have rearward arrangements for centering and clipping the deflector.
According to another variant, the deflector comprises two tongues forward, the dimensions of the ends of which are identical to the advanced zones of the support.
FIG. 2 shows a sectional profile view of a compact and standardized optical module 1 according to a first embodiment of the invention. The optical module 1 comprises the support 3 common for all types of modules, constituting the framework of the optical module 1 on which is clipped, the lens 4 along the longitudinal axis at the front of the support 3 and the deflector 5 along the longitudinal axis to the l 3. The light source door 6 itself clipped onto the reflector 5. The lens 4 has two convex faces and the parabolic focus 5e of the reflector 5 is located near the light source 7 and covers the upper half of the height of the lens 4. This optical module 1 comprises a reflector 5 having an "elliptical" focus in which the LED emits radiation 10 in a cone, this radiation 10 is captured by a small parabola (small focal length), this light is converged at a predetermined / calculated focal point, then this light is redirected in the axis of the optical module 1 through the lens 4 of elliptical shape. The lens 4 is relatively thick, in appearance, the lens 4 will be perceived as bright rather than the parabola of the reflector 5.
FIG. 3 shows a cross-sectional side view of a compact and standardized optical module 1 according to a second embodiment of the invention. The optical module 1 comprises the common support 3 for all types of modules, constituting the framework of the optical module 1 on which is clipped, the next lens 4 the longitudinal axis at the front of the support 3 and the reflector 5 along the longitudinal axis at the rear of the support 3. The door 6 light source 7 is itself clipped onto the reflector 5. The lens 4 has its face curved front and its concave rear face and the parabolic focal point 5e of the reflector 5 covers the entire height of the lens 4. This optical module 1 comprises a reflector 5 having a "conventional" focus in which the LED emits radiation 11 in a cone, this radiation 11 is redirected in the axis through the parabola of the reflector 5, this radiation 11 then passes through the lens 4 which does not change the path of the light rays. In this configuration, the lens is thinner, the parabola must be sufficiently large (large focal length) so that at a certain distance, the optical module in operation is perceived as having a relatively large light dimension. The parabola of the reflector 5 will be perceived as luminous with respect to the lens 4.
Thus, the optical module 1 can advantageously be declined in several types of lights, while having common parts such as the support 3 and possibly the light source door 6, while offering a range of assembly different parts between them simple and easy.
