Description

The invention relates to a lighting system for a vehicle comprising a set of compact and standardized optical modules, each optical module comprising a diode light source, the module being able to perform different functions depending on its destination such as, for example, high beams. , daytime running lights, position lights.

In the state of the art, we do not know of a vehicle integrating compact and standardized optical modules comprising common parts and different parts, capable of becoming compact optical modules for high beam, low beam, daytime running lights. or parking lights. The document US2012 / 0063156 describes an optical unit including a heat sink which emits heat from a light source, and a base part including a reflection section, a lens mounting section, and a connection section connecting the mounting section reflector and lens mounting section. The optical unit is made up of several specific elements, the assembly of which is not obvious. In addition, the optical unit is fixed in the bottom of a case on the heat sink by means of studs, a semi-enveloping glass is fixed on the front of the case in front of the lens of the optical unit. It is understood that this optical unit consists of several complicated and not obvious parts to be assembled together. In addition, this optical unit is specific to single light. The use of different LEDs with different characteristics in an optical module of a lighting and / or signaling device for a motor vehicle is shown in EP 2 295 850 A1 . A lighting device comprising a sub-assembly with LEDs and a heat sink common to several types of lamps is known from US 2013/107561 A1 .
The figure 3 presents a sectional side view of a compact and standardized optical module 1 according to a second embodiment of the invention. The optical module 1 comprises the support 3 common for all types of modules, constituting the framework of the optical module 1 on which is clipped, the lens 4 along the longitudinal axis in front of the support 3 and the reflector 5 following the longitudinal axis at the rear of the support 3. The light source holder 6 7 is itself clipped onto the reflector 5. The lens 4 has its convex front face and its concave rear face and the parabolic focus 5e of the reflector 5 covers the entire height of the lens 4. This optical module 1 comprises a reflector 5 having a "conventional" focus in which the LED emits radiation 11 along a cone, this radiation 11 is redirected in the axis through the parabola of the reflector 5, this radiation 11 then passes through lens 4 which does not modify the path of the light rays. In this configuration, the lens is thinner, the parabola must be sufficiently large (large focal length) so that at a certain distance, the optical module in operation is perceived as having a relatively large luminous dimension. The parabola of the reflector 5 will be perceived as luminous compared to the lens 4.
Thus, the optical module 1 can advantageously be available in several types of lights, while having common parts such as the support 3 and possibly the light source holder 6, while offering a range of simple and easy assembly of the different parts.
