L'invention concerne un procédé pour mettre en forme ou modifier la forme de cheveux, consistant à brosser les cheveux qui ont été éventuellement pré-shampooinés et/ou pré-lavés ; chauffer les cheveux ; appliquer une composition sur les cheveux, et la laisser sur les cheveux pendant une certaine période de temps ; et mettre en contact les cheveux avec un agent intermédiaire et/ou de l'eau ; la composition contenant une matière de polysaccharide comprenant du chitosane et du bêta-glucane ; une matière de silicone comprenant une amine de siloxane alcoxylée ; un agent émulsifiant, un agent épaississant ; un solvant cosmétiquement acceptable choisi parmi l'eau, un solvant organique, et des mélanges de ceux-ci ; le pH de la composition étant compris entre environ 2 et environ moins de 7.
