Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de réduction de la teneur en phosphore dans un effluent provenant d'un processus de production de pulpe, ledit processus comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) digestion de matériau lignocellulosique pour former une pulpe cuite ; b) lavage de la pulpe ; et c) blanchiment de la pulpe en conditions acides. La digestion de matériau lignocellulosique dans l'étape a) est réalisée en présence d'au moins un chélateur pour empêcher la formation de sel insoluble contenant du calcium et/ou du magnésium et du phosphore.
