Definitions
- the invention refers to an apparatus for washing cast parts, namely for cleaning, rinsing as well as drying of cast parts, in particular of precious motor vehicle parts consisting of aluminium.
- Such inventions belong to the field of performing working operations, in particular to devices for washing by means of methods, which include cleaning by means of liquid or steam.
- the purpose of the invention is to create a flexible apparatus, which would enable washing of various quantities of various cast parts by low energy consumption, and which could moreover ensure efficient washing, degreasing, rinsing and drying without retaining of washing means or water on the surface of parts.
- An apparatus for washing cast parts which is disclosed in DE 20 2012 100 809 Ul, comprises a cleaning chamber, below which a washing vessel containing a washing liquid is arranged, while above said chamber there is an exhausting appliance with a collector of volatile substances, which are then removed from the air by means of condensation. Efficiency of energy consumption is managed by means of removing the heat from condensation area, from the gained heat is transferred to the washing vessel. Despite to relatively efficient exploitation of energy, the apparatus as such is still pretty inefficient due to single washing vessel, so that the capacity of transferring the cast parts there-through is relatively low.
- a further apparatus for cleaning cast parts is disclosed in DE 296 20 946 Ul.
- Such apparatus comprises a larger washing vessel, a smaller rinsing vessel, a drying chamber and a transporting means extending through said drying chamber.
- the cast parts are put into a basket and sank into said washing vessel containing some larger quantity i.e. approximately 900 1 of washing liquid heated to approximately 50 - 60°C, in particular an aqueous solution of detergents, upon which cast parts are transferred into a rinsing vessel containing approximately 300 1 of cold water, and upon that said parts are transferred into a carriage of said transporting means, which is then moved through the drying chamber, into which hot air is blown by means of a ventilator.
- Such apparatus requires high consumption of energy, since the liquid within said washing vessel must be heated, while the liquid within the rinsing vessel is during the time heated, which is however not desired, and must be therefore occasionally flushed out and recharged with fresh water. Besides, drying within a tunnel drying chamber is not quite reliable, since the liquid cannot be removed from difficultly accessible zones, which leads to plaques and shades on the surface of products, which hinders reliability of measuring and performing of subsequent working operations.
- the invention refers to apparatus for washing cast parts, wherein such apparatus comprises a washing vessel adapted to be filled with a liquid for washing and degreasing of cast parts which is preferably heated to 50 - 60°C, a rinsing vessel adapted to be filled with water at room temperature, a drying chamber adapted to remove the liquid from the surface of cast parts by means of hot air flow, as well as a transporting conveyor suitable for supplying cast parts to be washed and discharging of washed and dried cast parts.
- a washing vessel adapted to be filled with a liquid for washing and degreasing of cast parts which is preferably heated to 50 - 60°C
- a rinsing vessel adapted to be filled with water at room temperature
- a drying chamber adapted to remove the liquid from the surface of cast parts by means of hot air flow
- a transporting conveyor suitable for supplying cast parts to be washed and discharging of washed and dried cast parts.
- said transporting conveyor consists of two essentially linearly aligned and apart from each other located conveyors, namely a supplying conveyor and an discharging conveyor, and moreover, said washing vessel, said rinsing vessel and said drying chamber are arranged adjacent to each other and at certain distance apart from said conveyors, when observed in the transversal direction with respect to driving direction thereof, and moreover, a robot is located in the area between on the one hand said conveyors and on the other hand said washing vessel, said rinsing vessel and said drying chamber, so that said conveyors, said washing vessel, said rinsing vessel and said drying chamber are located within the manipulating area thereof, and moreover, said apparatus also comprises a heat pump which is adapted for transferring the heat from the rinsing vessel into the washing vessel.
- Said conveyors are preferably belt conveyors
- said washing vessel is adapted for injection of air and/or a water and/or a mixture of air and water and/or washing substances there-into
- said drying chamber is furnished with nozzles, through which the air is blown in different directions towards the area, in which each cast part to be dried is located.
- Said robot is preferably adapted for gripping and transferring mutually equal or different cast parts from the supplying conveyor into the washing vessel, from said washing vessel into said rinsing vessel, from said rinsing vessel into said drying chamber, and from said washing chamber onto said discharging conveyor, wherein it is also preferred, if said robot enables rotating the cast product within the drying chamber around at least one geometric axis thereof, and if said robot is adapted for optimizing its operation steps or movements with respect to each particular actual needs, namely in dependency on each particular cast part, which is to be transferred to the washing operation by means of the conveyor, as well as on the duration of retaining each cast product within the washing vessel and/or rinsing vessel and/or drying chamber.
- Fig. 1 is a schematic top view of apparatus for washing cast parts according to the invention.
- Fig. 2 is a presentation of operation of the apparatus according to Fig. 1 illustrated by means of a flow chart of a cast part path through the apparatus.
- the apparatus for washing cast parts according to Fig. 1 comprises a washing vessel 1, a rinsing vessel 2, a drying chamber 3, a supplying conveyor 41 as well as a discharging conveyor 42.
- the volume of said washing vessel 1 filled with a liquid for cleaning and washing cast parts, which is preferably heated to approximately 50 - 60°C, is usually larger, preferably e.g. three-times larger, than the volume of said rinsing chamber 2.
- Air and/or water and/or a mixture of air and water and/or washing substances can be optionally injected into said washing vessel via nozzles, which are not shown. Thanks to increased temperature, the efficiency of detergents and any other washing or degreasing substances is correspondingly high.
- said rinsing vessel is filled with water having approximately a room temperature, which is optionally filtered.
- Said drying chamber 3 is intended for removing the liquid from the surface of cast products by means of hot air flow and is furnished with not-shown nozzles, through which hot air is blown in different directions towards the area, in which the cast products to be dried are located.
- the intensity of the air stream towards each desired locations on the surface of the cast parts can be correspondingly adjusted.
- Conveyor which is intended for supplying the cast parts to be washed and then for removing of washed and dried cast parts in accordance with the present invention consists of two at least approximately linearly aligned linear conveyors 41, 42, namely the supplying conveyor 41 and the discharging conveyor 42, which are in the shown embodiment belt conveyors, which are driven in the same direction.
- said washing vessel 1, said rinsing vessel 2 and said drying chamber are arranged adjacent to each other and apart from said conveyors 41, 42, when observed in the transversal direction with respect to driving direction thereof.
- a manipulating robot 5 is arranged in the area between said conveyors 41, 42 on the one hand and said washing vessel 1 , rinsing vessel 2 and drying chamber 3 on the other hand, wherein said conveyors 41, 42 and said washing vessel 1, rinsing vessel 2 and drying chamber 3 are located within the manipulating area of said robot 5.
- Said robot 5 is adapted for gripping and transferring of mutually equal or different cast parts from said supplying conveyor 41 into the washing vessel 1, from said washing vessel 1 into said rinsing vessel 2, from said rinsing vessel 2 into said drying chamber 3, and from said washing chamber 3 onto said discharging conveyor 42, by which each cast part is treated in accordance with operation of the apparatus, which is visually presented in Fig. 2.
