Description
본 발명은 수분을 함유하고 있는, 유기성 폐기물을 탄화시켜 높은 발열량을 갖는 바이오촤를 생산하는 시스템에 관한 것이다.
본 특허는 환경부의 지원을 받고 한국 환경 산업 기술원에서 관리받은 "차세대 에코 이노베이션 사업(사업명 : Bio_char 기술을 이용한 음식물 폐기물 처리 기술 개발)"의 결과로서 개발된 것이다.(No.2013000150004).
일반적으로 음식물 쓰레기, 하수슬러지와 같은 유기성 폐기물은 땅속에 매립하여 처리되고 있다.
그러나 유기성 폐기물은 특성상 수분 함량이 높아 쉽게 부패되어 악취와 오수가 발생하며, 매립 시에는 다량의 침출수가 흘러나와 지하수 오염과 같은 2차 환경오염을 유발시킨다.
그러므로 수분 함량이 높은 유기성 폐기물을 재활용 자재로 만들기 위해서는 유기성 폐기물의 수분을 제거한 다음 탄화 공정을 거쳐야 한다.
상기 탄화 공정은 무산소 상태 또는 저산소 분위기(2~4%)에서 외부가열원에 의한 가열에 의해 유기물질이 열분해되어 탄소를 최종 생성물에 고정시키기 위해 진행되는 것으로, 대부분의 유기성 폐기물이 탄화 공정을 통해 재활용되고 있다.
이와 관련하여, 한국공개특허 제2014-0028407호에서 슬러지가 건조되는 제1건조부와 제2건조부, 건조된 슬러지를 탄화시키는 탄화부 및 건조부와 탄화부에 열풍을 공급하는 열풍공급부를 포함하는 슬러지 탄화시스템을 개시하고 있다.
상기 기술은 LPG, LNG, 등유 등의 연료로부터 연소된 열풍을 이용한 건조부를 구비하여 수분 함량이 8wt% 내지 30wt%인 슬러지로 건조하고 탄화부로 이동시키나, 열풍의 온도가 일정하지 않아 슬러지의 내부까지 건조되지 못하여 생성물의 발열량이 낮아 품질이 저하되는 문제점이 있다.
따라서 생성물의 발열량이 우수하면서 동시에 소비 에너지를 최소화하는 바이오촤 생산 시스템의 개발이 필요하다.
본 발명은 상기 상술한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로서, 원료에 열을 균일하게 전달하여서, 우수한 성분의 바이오 촤를 생산하고, 폐열을 사용하여 에너지 소비를 최소화함으로써 경제성이 우수한, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템 및 바이오 촤 생산 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
상술한 과제를 해결하기 위하여 안출된 본 발명의 일실시예인 바이오 촤 생산 시스템은, 음식 폐기물을 포함하는 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 예비 가열하는 예열 가온조; 상기 예열 가온조에서 가열된 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 열수 가압 탄화 반응 방법에 따라 탄화시키는 탄화 반응기; 및 상기 탄화 반응기의 내외에 설치되고, 그 내부에 가열된 절연유가 흐르는 가열 파이프를 통해 상기 탄화 반응기를 간접 가열시키는 간접 가열 장치;를 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 바이오 촤 생산 시스템은, 상기 탄화 반응기에서 생성되는 폐기 유체를 기액 분리하는 관성충돌형 기액 분리기; 상기 관성충돌형 기액 분리기에서 분리되는 배출액을 저장하며, 상기 배출액을 이용하여 메탄 가스를 생성하여 이를 상기 간접 가열 장치에 공급하는 바이오 리퀴드 탱크; 및 상기 관성충돌형 기액 분리기에서 분리되는 배가스를 저장하는 기체 탱크를 더 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 바이오 촤 생산 시스템은, 상기 탄화 반응기에서 배출되는 바이오 촤를 보관하는 바이오 촤 보관조; 및 상기 바이오 촤 보관조에서 상기 바이오 촤를 공급 받은 후, 이를 고액 분리하는 고액 분리기;를 포함하고, 상기 고액 분리기에서 분리된 액체는 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크로 이송되어 보관될 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 바이오 촤 생산 시스템은, 상기 고액 분리기에서 분리되어서 1차 건조된 바이오 촤를 2차 건조시기는 바이오촤 건조기를 더 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 고액 분리기는 밸트 프레스 및 탈수기 중 하나를 포함할 수 있따.
여기서, 상기 바이오 촤 생산 시스템은, 태양열 집열기; 및 상기 태양열 집열기로부터 에너지를 공급받는 축열조;를 더 포함하고, 상기 예비 가온조는, 상기 축열조로부터의 열을 이용할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 축열조에서의 열이 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크로 공급되어서 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크 내부의 온도를 가온시킬 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 예열 가온조는, 상기 탄화 반응기의 상부에 설치된 밸브를 통해 상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 공급하는 이송 펌프를 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 탄화 반응기는, 상기 수분 함유 원료를 담는 내통과, 상기 내통에 이격되어 유로를 형성하도록 설치되는 외통을 포함하고, 상기 가열 파이프는, 상기 내통 내부에 설치되는 제 1 서브 가열 파이프; 및 상기 내통과 외통 사이에 설치되어서, 상기 내통을 가열할 뿐만 아니라 상기 유로를 통해 유입되는 배가스를 정화시키는 제 2 서브 가열 파이프를 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 탄화 반응기의 하부는 상기 바이오 촤의 배출을 용이하게 하기 위하여 원추형상을 가질 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 탄화 반응기는, 상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료의 함수율을 측정하는 함수율 측정 장치; 및 상기 함수율 측정 장치로부터의 측정된 함수율이 기준값 이하 인 경우, 상기 탄화 반응기 내에 추가로 물을 공급하기 위한 수분 공급기를 더 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 탄화 반응기는, 그 내부의 압력을 측정하는 압력 측정기; 및 상기 압력 측정기로부터 측정된 압력이 기준 압력 이상인 경우, 상기 탄화 반응기의 압력을 조절하는 압력 조절부를 더 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료은 50~80%의 함수율을 가지며, 상기 탄화 반응기 내부의 압력은 1.0~3.0MPa 이며, 상기 예열 반응기는 상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 50~90℃로 예열할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 바이오 촤 생산 방법은, 음식 폐기물을 포함하는 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 예열 가온조에서 예비 가열 하는 단계; 상기 예비 가열된 수분함유 유기성 원료를, 간접 가열 장치에 의하 간접 가열되는 탄화 반응기에서 가압 탄화 반응 방법에 따라 탄화시켜 바이오차 원재료를 획득하는 단계; 상기 바이오촤 원재료에 대하여 고액 분리기에서 고액 분리시키고, 이중 액체 부분은 바이오 리퀴드 탱크에 저장하여 메탄 가스 생성을 하는 단계; 및 상기 고액 분리기로부터 분리된 고체 바이오차에 대하여 탈수 처리하여 바이오촤 원료를 획득하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 바이오 촤 생산 방법은, 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크에서 생성되는 메탄가스를 상기 간접 가열 장치의 연료로 공급하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 바이오 촤 생산 방법은, 상기 탄화 반응기에서 발생되는 유체에 대하여 기액 분리기에서 배가스와 배출액으로 분리하는 단계; 및
상기 배출액을 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크로 공급하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.

본 발명의 바이오촤 생산 시스템은 생성된 바이오촤의 함수율을 최소화하여 발열량이 높은 고형 연료를 얻을 수 있는 이점이 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 바이오촤 생산 시스템은 반응기에서 발생하는 악취 또는 가연성가스는 가열에너지로 재활용하여 에너지 소비를 최소화할 수 있는 이점이 있다.

이하, 본 발명과 관련된 바이오 촤 생산 시스템 및 바이오 촤 생산 방법에 대하여 도면을 참조하여 보다 상세하게 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일실시예인 바이오 촤 생산 시스템을 설명하기 위한 개념도이다. 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 본원 발명의 일실시예인 바이오 촤 생산 시스템(1000)은, 예열 가온조(10), 탄화 반응기(20), 간접 가열 장치(30), 기액 분리기(40), 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50), 기체 탱크(60), 바이오 촤 보관조(70), 바이오 촤 건조기(90), 태양열 집열기(100) 및 축열조(110)를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
우선 예열 가온조(10)에 원료를 투입하기 전에 원료가 되는 수분함유 유기성 원료는 전처리 공정을 거칠 수 있다.
구체적으로, 분쇄기(미도시)에 의해 원료에 포함되어 있는 이물질을 선별하고 10mm ~ 100mm의 크기로 분쇄하여 예열 가온조(10)로 공급할 수 있다.
상기 분쇄기는 원료의 이물질 선별 및 분쇄를 목적으로 통상적으로 사용되는 것을 제한없이 적용할 수 있다.
이때 일례로 분쇄기는 통상 시판되고 있는 커터 밀, 분쇄용 볼 또는 숯 분쇄 분별기 등이 사용 가능하다.
또한 상기 분쇄기의 재질은 특별히 한정되지 않으며, 바람직하게는 내수성, 내구성 또는 탄력성이 우수한 스테인리스 스틸, 구리, 우레탄, 세라믹, 고무, 플라스틱 및 자연석으로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 1종 이상이 사용될 수 있다.
이와 같이 전처리 공정을 거친 수분 함유 유기성 원료는, 상기 예열 가온조(10)에서 예열된다. 이때 투입되는 원료의 종류는 특별히 한정하지 않으나 일례로 음식물 폐기물, 하수 슬러지 및 폐목재로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상일 수 있으며, 바람직하기로는 음식물 폐기물 또는 하수 슬러지가 좋다.
상기 예열 가온조(10)는 원료를 50 내지 90℃로 예열할 수 있다.
이때 상기 예열 가온조(10)의 온도가 50℃ 미만인 경우 원료가 충분히 예열되지 않아 탄화 반응기(20) 내에서의 탄화 반응시간이 증가할 수 있으며, 온도가 90℃ 초과인 경우에는 음식물 폐기물에서 함유하고 있는 수분이 증발함과 동시에 악취물질이 배출될 수 있다.
이로 인해 원료의 탄화 반응 시간을 단축시키므로 연료의 소비를 절감할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
상기 예열 가온조(10)에 의해 예열된 원료는 이송 펌프에 의해 탄화 반응기(20)로 투입되어 탄화 과정을 거친다.
탄화 반응기(20)는 예열 가온조(10)에서 예열된 원료가 투입되어 열원에 의해 탄화시킨 후 바이오촤, 바이오 리퀴드 및 배가스를 얻는 장치이다.
상기 탄화 반응기(20)는 1.0MPa 내지 3.0MPa의 압력에서 예열 가온조(10)에 의해 예열된 원료를 탄화시킨다.
이때 탄화 반응기(20)의 압력이 1.0MPa 미만인 경우 유기성 폐기물의 반응성이 저하되어 최종 생성물인 탄화물의 발열량이 낮아질 수 있으며, 3.0MPa 초과인 경우 고압에 따른 반응기의 안전성을 고려해야하므로 초기 제작비가 상승할 수 있다.
또한, 탄환 반응기(20)는, 상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료의 함수율을 측정하는 함수율 측정 장치 및 수분 공급기를 포함하고 있다. 이에 따라, 상기 함수율 측정 장치로부터의 측정된 함수율이 기준값 이하 인 경우, 상기 탄화 반응기 내에 추가로 물을 공급하여, 탄화 반응의 효율성을 높히게 된다.
또한, 상기 탄화 반응기는, 그 내부의 압력을 측정하는 압력 측정기; 및 상기 압력 측정기로부터 측정된 압력이 기준 압력 이상인 경우, 상기 탄화 반응기의 압력을 조절하는 압력 조절부를 더 포함하여, 탄화 반응 중의 작업 안정성 및 생산효율을 높이게 된다.
상기 탄화 반응기(20)의 열원으로는 간접 가열 장치(30)으로부터 유입된 열매체유이다. 이와 같은 탄화 반응기(20) 및 간접 가열 장치(30)에 대해서는 도 2에서 보다 상세하게 후술하고자 한다.
기액 분리기(40)는 탄화 반응기(20)에서 발생되는 (폐기) 유체를 배가스와 배출액을 분리하는 구성요소이다. 이러한 기액 분리기(40)로는 관성 충돌형 열교환기가 이용될 수 있다. 즉, 탄화 반응기(20)에서 발생되는 폐기 유체인 고온의 증기 또는 가스는 관성 충돌형 열교환기에서 배출액과 배가스로 분리되고, 배출액은 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)에 공급되며, 배가스는 기체 탱크(60)로 이송되게 된다. 탄화 반응기(20)에서 발생되는 유체는, 바이오 촤 보관조(70) 또는 탄화 반응기(20)에서 발생될 수 있다. 여기서의 배가스는 수증기, 일산화탄소(CO), 메탄가스(CH4) 또는 악취물질을 포함하는 것으로서, 간접 가열 장치(30)에서 연소되어서 정화될 수 있게 된다. 또한 기액분리기(40)에 의해 열교환된 고열은 축열조(110)로 공급되게 된다.
기액 분리기(40)의 일종인 관성 충돌형 열교환기에 대해서는 도 3을 참조하여 보다 상세하게 설명하도록 한다.
한편, 바이오 촤 보관조(70)에 형성된 밸브를 개방하여 탄화 반응기(20)에서 생성된 배가스가 압력차에 의해 바이오 촤 보관조(70)를 거쳐 기액 분리기(40)를 거치게 된다.
상기 탄화 반응기(20)로부터 배출된 고온의 증기 또는 가스는 바이오촤, 바이오 리퀴드를 보관하는 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50) 및 관성충돌형 열교환기(40)를 순차적으로 거쳐 응축될 수 있다.
이 바이오 촤 보관조(70)에 대해서는 도 4를 통해 설명하도록 한다.
탄화 반응기(20)로부터 배출된 고온의 배기가스 및 증기와 함께 관성충돌형 열교환기(50)에서 액화된다. 여기서 액화된 배출액은 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)로 수집되게 된다.
또한 상기 바이오촤 생산 시스템은 상기 배가스를 포집하는 기체 탱크(60)를 추가로 구비할 수 있다.
상기 기체 탱크(60)는 기액 분리기(40), 바이오 촤 보관조(70) 등에서 획득되는 배가스를 포집하고, 이 배가스는 간접 가열 장치(30)에 형성된 연소부에서 소화되어 정화된 공기가 외부로 배출되게 된다.
바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)는, 고액 분리기(80), 바이오 촤 보관조(70)등에서 유입된 배출액을 포집한다. 이 배출액은 유기물을 다량 함유하고 있으므로, 메탄 가스등의 바이오 가스를 생산하기 위한 바이오 리퀴드를 소화하는 역할을 한다.
본 발명에 따른 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)는 메탄 생산을 위한 소화에 적합한 환경을 갖추기 위해, 온도 및 pH를 적절하게 제어하는 수단을 추가로 구비할 수 있으며, 이에 의해 35 내지 40℃의 온도로 유지되어 바이오 리퀴드에 포함된 박테리아 등의 미생물들이 지방산 또는 휘발성 산을 생성할 수 있다.
이렇게 생성된 지방산은 이산화탄소, 일산화탄소 또는 메탄가스를 생성하여 간접 가열 장치(30)를 가열하기 위한 연료 에너지로 공급될 수 있다.
이를 통해 유기성 폐기물의 탄화 반응에 의해 생성된 배출액, 즉 바이오 리퀴드는 메탄가스로 전환되어 연료로 공급되므로 환경오염을 최소화할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 에너지 소비를 줄일 수 있는 효과가 있다.
또한 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)는 배출액을 골고루 혼합하여 효율적인 소화를 이루기 위하여 교반기와 교반 및 소화 시 발생하는 거품을 제거하는 거품제거기를 추가로 구비할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 탄화 반응기(20)로부터 배출된 바이오촤는 고액 분리기(80)인 탈수기로 이동하고 고체 및 액체로 분리된다.
상기 고액 분리기(80)는 특별히 한정하지 않으나, 일례로 벨트프레스, 필터프레스 또는 공기압을 이용한 탈수 및 원심분리기로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 1종으로 이루어질 수 있다.
이때 고액 분리기(80)에 유입된 바이오촤는 상당량의 수분이 제거되어 초기 함수량의 30 내지 40%의 함수량을 가지게 된다.
일반적으로 음식물 폐기물에 포함된 수분은 결합수로 일반적인 탈수기에 의해 수분 제거가 힘들지만, 탄화반응을 거친 음식물 폐기물의 경우에는 결합수가 자유수로 존재하기 때문에 물리적인 가압 조건에서도 탈수가 잘 일어난다.
상기 바이오촤 생산 시스템(1000)은 바이오촤를 건조시키는 바이오 촤 건조기(90)를 추가로 구비할 수 있다.
상기 탈수기(80)를 거친 바이오촤는 바이오 촤 건조기(90)로 이동하여 고온의 건공기에 의해 함수율이 5 내지 10%가 되도록 수분이 제거된다. 상기 바이오 촤 건조기(90)는 축열조(110)로부터의 고온의 건조 기체를 공급 받아서, 바이오 촤를 건조시키게 된다.
상기 함수율이 5% 미만인 경우에는 고형 연료의 펠릿 성형시 잘 부서지기 쉬워 성형이 어려울 수 있으며, 함수율이 10% 초과인 경우에는 보관 중에 물이 배어나오고, 곰팡이가 발생하여 고형 연료의 품질이 저하될 수 있다.
상기한 바와 같이 본 발명에 따른 바이오촤 생산 시스템(1000)은 탄화시 원료의 함수율을 조절하고 건조 과정을 통해 최종 생성물(바이오촤)의 함수율을 최소화함으로써 발열량이 높은 고형 연료를 제조할 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 바이오촤 생산 시스템은 상기 관성충돌형 열교환기(50)에 의해 열교환된 온수의 열을 수집하는 축열조(110)를 추가로 구비할 수 있다.
상기 축열조(110)는 예열 가온조(10)의 열원을 공급하는 장치로, 당해분야에서 일반적으로 사용되는 장치를 적용할 수 있으므로 이에 대한 상세한 설명은 생략하기로 한다.
한편 축열조(110)는 태양열 집열기(100) 및 관성 충돌형 열교환기(40)로부터의 열을 받아 열을 축적하게 된다. 이상과 같이, 태양열 집열기(100) 및 관성 충돌형 열교환기(40)를 이용하여 예열 가온조(10)의 내부의 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 예비 가열함으로써, 에너지 효율을 극대화할 수 있게 된다.
또한, 이 축열조(110)의 열은 바이오 촤 건조기(90)에서 고액 분리기(80)에 의해 1차 건조된 바이오 촤를 다시 건조하는 에너지로 이용될 수 있다.
이하에서는, 도 2를 참조하여 탄화 반응기와 이와 관련된 간접 가열 장치의 구성을 보다 상세하게 설명하도록 한다.
도 2는, 본 발명의 일실시예인 바이오 촤 생산 시스템 중 탄화 반응기와 이와 관련된 간접 가열 장치의 구성을 설명하기 위한 도면이다. 도시된 바와 같이, 탄화 반응기(20)는, 크게 내통(21)과, 외통(23), 그리고 하부 밸브(25)를 통해 구성될 수 있다. 다시 말해, 상기 탄화 반응기(20)은 원료를 수용하는 내통(21) 및 상기 내통(21)을 둘러싸며 내통(21)과 이격되어 제 1 공간부(A)를 형성하도록 외통(23)이 구비된다.
이때 상기 탄화 반응기(20)은 내부에 수용된 원료를 골고루 탄화시키기 위해, 내통(21)에는 제 1 서브 가열 파이프(31)가 설치되고,제 1 공간부(A) 에는 제 2 서브 가열 파이프(33)가 설치된다.
본 발명의 탄화 반응기(20)는 원료를 150 내지 300℃의 온도에서 탄화시킨다.
상기 탄화 반응기(20)의 온도가 150℃ 미만인 경우, 원료의 탄화반응이 저하되어 탄화 반응시간이 증가할 수 있으며, 온도가 300℃초과인 경우에는 탄화 반응기(20)의 열부식이 진행되어 탄화 반응기(20)의 수명이 저하될 수 있고, 유기성 폐기물의 함수량을 저하시킬 수 있다.
상기 외통(23)의 외벽은 제 1 공간부(A)로 공급되는 열이 탄화 반응기(20) 밖으로 방열되는 것을 방지하도록 단열재로 형성될 수 있다.
상기 내통(21)에 설치된 제 1 서브 가열 파이프(31)의 내부로 열매체유가 순환되어 원료가 골고루 탄화될 수 있도록 열을 균일하게 공급할 수 있다.
상기 열매체유는 제 1 서브 가열 파이프(31) 및 제 1 공간부(A)에 설치된 제 2 서브 가열 파이프(33)로 유입된 후, 탄화 반응기(20)로부터 배출되고 간접 가열 장치(30)로 되돌아 가게 된다.
이때 상기 열매체유는 간접 가열 장치(30)의 열원인 가스버너에 의해 300℃ 내지 500℃로 가열된다.
상기 열매체유의 온도가 300℃ 미만인 경우에는 내통(21) 안에 있는 유기성 폐기물로 충분한 열이 전달되지 않아 원료의 탄화반응이 잘 일어나지 않으므로 생성물의 품질이 저하될 수 있으며, 온도가 500℃ 초과인 경우에는 탄화 반응기(20) 내부의 유기성 폐기물이 탄화되지 않고 가스화 되어 탄화물의 수율이 낮아질 수 있다.
상기 열매체유(0.4~0.6cal/g)는 물(1cal/g)보다 비열이 낮아 열에 의해 빠른 속도로 온도 상승이 일어나고, 스팀보다 압력을 1/10이하로 낮출 수 있어 압력부하가 감소되는 특징이 있다.
이로 인해 열매체유는 상기 탄화 반응기(20)의 일측에서 제 1 서브 가열 파이프(31) 및 제 1 공간부(A)의 제 2 서브 가열 파이프(33)에 유입되어 내통(21) 내부에 열을 균일하게 전달함으로써 생성물의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 추가적인 열원이 필요하지 않으므로 연료 소비를 줄일 수 있다.
또한 열매체유를 이용하여 간접적으로 열을 가함으로써 탄화 반응기(20) 하부의 국부적인 열부식 및 탄화 반응기(20)의 압력부하를 감소시킬 수 있으므로 탄화 반응기(20)의 수명이 연장될 수 있다.
상기 탄화 반응기(20)의 내통(21)에 투입된 수분 함유 유기성 원료는 탄화반응이 진행되는 동안 발열량이 높은 바이오촤를 얻기 위해서 함수율이 50 내지 80%로 유지되는 것이 바람직하며, 더욱 바람직하게는 60 내지 70%로 유지되는 것이 좋다.
상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료의 함수율이 50% 미만인 경우에는 반응기의 내부 압력을 상승시키는 속도가 느려져 탄화 반응시간이 길어질 수 있으며, 함수율이 80% 초과인 경우에는 과다한 수분으로 인해 포화수증기압이 급격하게 상승하여 적절한 온도를 유지하기 어려울 뿐만 아니라, 다량의 수분이 유기성 폐기물에 포함되어 최종 생성물의 수율이 저하될 수 있다.
이렇게 상기 원료의 함수율을 일정하게 유지하기 위해서는 탄화 반응기(20)에 물을 공급하는 보조 수조(미도시)를 추가로 구비할 수 있다.
따라서 본 발명에 따른 탄화 반응은 탄화 반응기(20) 내부에서 원료에 함유된 물이 고온 및 고압(온도에 따른 수증기압)에서 기화되어 원료가 임계상태에서 탄화반응이 이루어지도록 하는 촉매 역할을 한다.
또한, 상기 탄화 반응기(20)는 원료의 발열량을 높이기 위해 pH를 조절하는 pH 조정조를 추가로 구비할 수 있으며, 이때 당해 분야에서 사용되는 pH 조정조를 용이하게 적용할 수 있다.
한편, 상기 제 1 공간부(A)로는 기체 탱크(60)에 저장되어 있던 배가스가 공급되어서, 제 2 서브 가열 파이프(33)에 의해 소화되어서 정화 배출될 수 있게 된다.
더욱이, 본 발명의 탄화 반응기(20)는 내통(21) 및 외통(23)의 하부(20-1)가 하측방향으로 직경이 작아지는 테이퍼(taper)진 원추 형상으로, 바이오촤 및 바이오 리퀴드 및 배가스를 포함하는 생성물이 바이오촤 보관조(70)로 원활하게 배출될 수 있도록 구성할 수 있다.
좀 더 구체적으로, 탄화 반응이 종결되면 탄화 반응기(20)의 중앙 하부에 형성된 하부밸브(도시되지 않음)를 개방하여 탄화 반응기(20) 내부의 생성물이 배출된다.
상기 생성물은 바이오촤, 바이오 리퀴드 및 배가스를 포함하는 것으로, 후술하는 배출보관조(40)에 임시로 저장되고, 여기서 바이오 리퀴드의 일부가 분리되게 된다. 이에 대한 설명은 도 4에서 보다 상세하게 설명하도록 한다.
한편, 상기 탄화 반응기의 상부에는 상부 밸브가 형성되고, 상부 밸브가 개방되면, 예열 가온조(10)에 설치된 이송 펌프(도시되지 않음)에 의해 원료인 수분 함유 유기성 원료가 탄화 반응기(20)로 공급되게 된다.
이하에서는, 발명의 일실시예인 바이오 촤 생산 시스템에서 발생되는 폐기 유체를 기액 분리하는 기액 분리기(40)의 일종인 관성 충돌형 열교환기의 구성에 대하여 도 3을 참조하여 설명하도록 한다.
도 3은, 본 발명의 일실시예인 바이오 촤 생산 시스템에서 발생되는 폐기 유체를 기액 분리하는 기액 분리기(40)의 일종인 관성 충돌형 열교환기의 구성을 설명하기 위한 도면이다. 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 관성 충돌형 열교환기(40)는 탄화 반응기(20)에서 생성되는 고온 오염 기체인 배가스의 흐름에 대하여 소정 각도 기울어져 상기 고온 배가스의 바람의 방향에 대하여 일정 각도로 경사지게 형성되는 제 1 블레이드(40-1); 상기 제 1 블레이드(40-1)로부터 굴절각을 가지고 연장 형성되는 제 2 블레이드(40-2); 상기 제 1 블레이드(40-1)와 제 2 블레이드(40-2)의 연결점에 형성된 히트 파이프(41)를 포함하고, 상기 히트 파이프(41)에 의해 기액 분리가되어서 배출액이 생성되고, 이는 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)에 제공되게 된다.
한편, 한 쌍의 제 1 차단 블레이드(40-3)는, 상기 제 1 블레이드(40-1)와 제 2 블레이드(40-2)의 연결점에 설치되어서 관성 충돌에 의해 배가스내에 미세 먼지 입자들이 차단 블레이드에 충돌되어서 중력에 의해 제거되며, 배출액이 생산된다.
또한 제 2 차단 블레이드(40-4)가 상기 제 2 블레이드(40-2)의 종단부에 설치되어서 이 제 2 차단 블레이드(40-4)에 의해 배출액이 생성된다.
이때 상기 제 2 차단 블레이드(40-4)는 제 1 차단 블레이드(40-3)로부터 굴절각을 가지고 연장 형성되는데, 상기 굴절각은 30 내지 60% 일 수 있다.
상기 굴절각이 30%미만인 경우에는 고온의 배가스가 블레이드에 적게 충돌하여 배출액 생성 효과가 저하될 수 있으며, 60 %초과인 경우에는 배가스의 흐름이 나빠져서 배출액 생성 효율이 저하될 수 있다.
이와 같이, 제조된 관성 충돌형 열교환기는 먼지의 제거 및 에너지 재활용을 동시에 할 수 있게 된다.
도 4는, 본 발명의 일실시예인 바이오 촤 생산시스템 중 바이오 촤 보관조의 구성을 설명하기 위한 개념도이다. 도시된 바와 같이, 바이오 촤 보관조(70)는 크게 하우징(71)과, 메쉬형 내통(73)을 포함하여 구성된다.
메쉬형 내통(73)에는 탄화 반응기(20)에서 배출되는 바이오촤(M)가 놓여지게 된다. 바이오 촤(M)에는 다수의 수분을 함유하고 있다. 이에 따라, 메쉬형 내통(73)에 의해 바이오 촤의 수분이 중력에 의해 하우징으로 나오게 된다. 이에 따라 1차적으로 간단하게 바이오 촤의 액체부분이 분리되게 된다. 이와 같이, 하우징 내에 모여진 배출액은 다시 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)에 공급되게 된다.
이하에서는, 상술한 구성을 가지는 바이오 촤 생산 시스템에서의 바이오 촤 생산 방법에 대하여 도 5를 참조하여 상세하게 설명하도록 한다.
도 5는, 본 발명의 다른 실시예인 바이오 촤 생산 방법을 설명하기 위한 흐름도이다. 도 5에 도시된 바와 같이, 우선, 음식 폐기물을 포함하는 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 예열 가온조(10)에서 예비 가열하게 된다(S1). 상기 예비 가열된 수분함유 유기성 원료는 이송 펌프에 의해 탄화 반응기(20)의 상부 밸브를 통해 탄화 반응기(20)로 공급되게 된다. 한편, 탄화 반응기(20)는 간접 가열 장치에 의하여 간접 가열되며, 이에 따라, 탄화 반응기(20)에서 가압 탄화 반응 방법에 따라 탄화시켜 바이오차 원재료를 획득하게 된다(S3). 그 다음, 상기 바이오촤 원재료에 대하여 고액 분리기(80)에서 고액 분리시키고, 이중 액체 부분은 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)에 저장하게 한다. 그리고, 상기 탄화 반응기(20)에서 발생되는 유체에 대하여 기액 분리기(40)에서 배가스와 배출액으로 분리하여, 상기 배출액을 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)로 공급하게 된다(S5). 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크(50)에서는 상기 배출액을 이용하여 메탄 가스를 생성하고, 이 메탄가스를 상기 간접 가열 장치(30)의 연료로 공급하게 하여, 에너지 효율을 극대화하게 된다.
한편, 이와 같이 상기 고액 분리기(80)로부터 분리된 고체 바이오차에 대하여 탈수 처리하여 바이오촤 원료를 획득하게 된다(S7)
한편, 상기 배가스는 기체탱크로 공급되며, 상기 기체 탱크(60)에 모여진 배가스를 상기 간접 가열 장치(30)의 연소부에서 정화하여 환경 오염을 최소화할 수 있게 된다.
이하, 본 발명의 내용을 하기 실시예를 통하여 더욱 상세히 설명한다. 그러나 이들은 본 발명을 보다 상세하게 설명하기 위한 것으로 본 발명의 권리범위가 이들에 의해 한정되는 것은 아니다.
<실시예 1> : 음식물 폐기물로부터 고형 연료의 제조
음식물 폐기물을 수거하여 원료로 사용하였으며, 이들을 모두 50mm로 분쇄하여 사용하였다.
상기 분쇄된 음식물 폐기물 600kg을 원료 예열반응기에 투입하여 70로 예열한 다음, 탄화 반응기(1,000L)의 승온속도를 5/min으로 하여 230로 설정하고 2.5MPa의 조건에서 3시간 동안 탄화시켰다.
이때 탄화 반응기 내의 음식물 폐기물은 함수율이 67.7%이 되도록 유지하였다.
반응시간 경과 후 탄화 반응기를 냉각시키고, 탄화 반응기 내의 고체(바이오촤), 액체(바이오 리퀴드) 및 기체(배가스 및 증기)를 배출보관조에 이동시켰다.
그 중 바이오촤는 탈수기로 이동시켜 수분을 제거하고, 이를 다시 바이오 촤 건조기로 이동시켜 70의 건공기에 의해 6시간 동안 건조시켜 함수율이 5%인 바이오촤를 생산하였다.
그 다음, 건조된 바이오촤를 성형기를 이용하여 펠릿 형태로 고형 연료를 제조한 후에 고형 연료의 열량을 측정하였으며, 그 결과를 하기 표 2에 나타내었다.
<실시예 2 내지 11 및 비교예 1 및 2>
상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 실시하되, 하기 표 1에 나타낸 조건으로 수행하여 고형 연료를 제조하였다.

상기 표 2에 나타낸 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 바이오촤 생산 시스템으로 제조된 실시예 1 내지 11은 비교예 1 및 2에 비해 발열량이 높은 바이오촤를 얻을 수 있었다.
특히, 실시예 1은 비교예 1 및 2에 비해 음식물 폐기물의 반응성이 향상되어 최종 생성물인 바이오촤의 발열량이 높아진 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
본 발명의 바이오촤 생산 시스템은 생성된 바이오촤의 함수율을 최소화하여 발열량이 높은 고형 연료를 얻을 수 있는 이점이 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 바이오촤 생산 시스템은 반응기에서 발생하는 악취 또는 가연성가스는 가열에너지로 재활용하여 에너지 소비를 최소화할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
상기와 같이 바이오 촤 생산 시스템 및 바이오 촤 생산 방법은 상기 설명된 실시예들의 구성과 방법이 한정되게 적용될 수 있는 것이 아니라, 상기 실시예들은 다양한 변형이 이루어질 수 있도록 각 실시예들의 전부 또는 일부가 선택적으로 조합되어 구성될 수도 있다.
Claims (18)
- 음식 폐기물을 포함하는 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 예비 가열하는 예열 가온조;상기 예열 가온조에서 가열된 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 열수 가압 탄화 반응 방법에 따라 탄화시키는 탄화 반응기; 및상기 탄화 반응기의 내외에 설치되고, 그 내부에 가열된 절연유가 흐르는 가열 파이프를 통해 상기 탄화 반응기를 간접 가열시키는 간접 가열 장치;를 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 탄화 반응기에서 생성되는 폐기 유체를 기액 분리하는 관성충돌형 기액 분리기;상기 관성충돌형 기액 분리기에서 분리되는 배출액을 저장하며, 상기 배출액을 이용하여 메탄 가스를 생성하여 이를 상기 간접 가열 장치에 공급하는 바이오 리퀴드 탱크; 및상기 관성충돌형 기액 분리기에서 분리되는 배가스를 저장하는 기체 탱크를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 탄화 반응기에서 배출되는 바이오 촤를 보관하는 바이오 촤 보관조; 및상기 바이오 촤 보관조에서 상기 바이오 촤를 공급 받은 후, 이를 고액 분리하는 고액 분리기;를 포함하고,상기 고액 분리기에서 분리된 액체는 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크로 이송되어 보관되는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 고액 분리기에서 분리되어서 1차 건조된 바이오 촤를 2차 건조시기는 바이오촤 건조기를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 고액 분리기는 밸트 프레스 및 탈수기 중 하나를 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,태양열 집열기; 및상기 태양열 집열기로부터 에너지를 공급받는 축열조;를 더 포함하고,상기 예비 가온조는, 상기 축열조로부터의 열을 이용하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 축열조에서의 열이 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크로 공급되어서 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크 내부의 온도를 가온시키는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 예열 가온조는,상기 탄화 반응기의 상부에 설치된 밸브를 통해 상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 공급하는 이송 펌프를 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 탄화 반응기는,상기 수분 함유 원료를 담는 내통; 및상기 내통에 이격되어 유로를 형성하도록 설치되는 외통을 포함하고,상기 가열 파이프는,상기 내통 내부에 설치되는 제 1 서브 가열 파이프; 및상기 내통과 외통 사이에 설치되어서, 상기 내통을 가열할 뿐만 아니라 상기 유로를 통해 유입되는 배가스를 정화시키는 제 2 서브 가열 파이프를 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 탄화 반응기의 하부는 상기 바이오 촤의 배출을 용이하게 하기 위하여 원추형상을 가지는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 탄화 반응기는,상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료의 함수율을 측정하는 함수율 측정 장치; 및상기 함수율 측정 장치로부터의 측정된 함수율이 기준값 이하 인 경우, 상기 탄화 반응기 내에 추가로 물을 공급하기 위한 수분 공급기를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 탄화 반응기는,그 내부의 압력을 측정하는 압력 측정기; 및상기 압력 측정기로부터 측정된 압력이 기준 압력 이상인 경우, 상기 탄화 반응기의 압력을 조절하는 압력 조절부를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료은 50~80%의 함수율을 가지며,상기 탄화 반응기 내부의 압력은 1.0~3.0MPa 이며,상기 예열 반응기는 상기 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 50~90℃로 예열하는, 바이오 촤 생산 시스템.
- 음식 폐기물을 포함하는 수분 함유 유기성 원료를 예열 가온조에서 예비 가열 하는 단계;상기 예비 가열된 수분함유 유기성 원료를, 간접 가열 장치에 의하 간접 가열되는 탄화 반응기에서 가압 탄화 반응 방법에 따라 탄화시켜 바이오차 원재료를 획득하는 단계;상기 바이오촤 원재료에 대하여 고액 분리기에서 고액 분리시키고, 이중 액체 부분은 바이오 리퀴드 탱크에 저장하여 메탄 가스 생성을 하는 단계; 및상기 고액 분리기로부터 분리된 고체 바이오차에 대하여 탈수 처리하여 바이오촤 원료를 획득하는 단계를 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서,상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크에서 생성되는 메탄가스를 상기 간접 가열 장치의 연료로 공급하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서,상기 탄화 반응기에서 발생되는 유체에 대하여 기액 분리기에서 배가스와 배출액으로 분리하는 단계;상기 배출액을 상기 바이오 리퀴드 탱크로 공급하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서,상기 배가스를 기체탱크로 공급하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 기체 탱크에 모여진 배가스를 상기 간접 가열 장치의 연소부에서 정화하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 바이오 촤 생산 방법.
