Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a multipurpose rollaway post.
  • Video-surveillance towers are already known, equipped with lamps and cameras suitable for lighting and monitoring an area. These towers are usually part of fixed installations or can be transported on wheels. In any case, when they are positioned in an area to be monitored, they have a strong visual impact and are therefore used only when security reasons require their presence .
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a multipurpose post, in particular for lighting and/or monitoring a surrounding area, suitable to be installed in a fixed manner also for a regular and daily use and which at the same time has a reduced visual impact when it is used and almost null when not in use.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a multipurpose post having a particularly simple and reliable structure and which requires little maintenance.
  • Figure 1 is a schematic elevation view of the post installed in a seat dug in the ground and in a non- use position;
  • Figure 2 is a schematic elevation view of the post in use position
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the top of the multipurpose post
  • FIG. 4 shows a detail of the multipurpose head, in a use configuration
  • FIG. 5 shows a detail of the multipurpose head in a different use configuration.
  • the multipurpose post according to the invention is based on the use of a telescopic post 10. That is, this telescopic post 10 is formed by a plurality of coaxial cylindrical segments 101 having decreasing diameter starting from the lower segment 102, adapted to be accommodated one within the other.
  • the telescopic post 10 therefore is extensible from a configuration of minimum extension, wherein all the segments are accommodated within the lower segment 102 and thus has a height slightly less than that of said lower segment 102, to a configuration of maximum extension, wherein all the segments are extracted from one another.
  • the telescopic post 10 is pneumatically controlled. That is, the extraction of the segments to switch from the configuration of minimum extension to that of maximum extension is caused by the delivery of a fluid under pressure, such as air.
  • a peculiar feature of the telescopic post 10 used in the present invention is that of being able to bring the power supply to the top of the upper segment 104, so as to supply electrical equipment installed on top of the post, as described hereafter.
  • the segments of the telescopic post are internally pierced and an electrical cable is inserted into the post.
  • the electrically supplied telescopic post 10 meets the requirements of water and external agent seal and is therefore suitable for being used outdoors.
  • the telescopic post 10 is provided with a multipurpose head 20 which supports lighting devices 22 and/or video-surveillance devices 24.
  • the multipurpose head 20 is attached to the free end of the upper segment 104 of the post.
  • the telescopic post is installed in a post seat 30 dug in the ground.
  • the post seat 30 has such a depth as to completely accommodate the telescopic post 10 with the multipurpose head 20 when the post is in the configuration of minimum extension ( Figure 1) .
  • the surface of the multipurpose head 20 facing upwards is substantially flush with the ground or is connected to the ground so as to completely close opening 32 of the post seat through which the post segments pass when they are extracted.
  • the post seat 30 comprises a lower portion 34, having such a depth and diameter as to accommodate at least most of the lower segment 102 of the telescopic post, and an upper portion 36.
  • Such an upper portion 36 of the post seat has a greater diameter than that of the lower portion 34, so as to form an abutment plane 38 for the post stabilisation, as described hereafter.
  • the upper portion 36 of the post _ seat defines a technical space 37 wherein the devices intended for the functioning of the post are accommodated, in particular, for example, a compressor 40 for the pneumatic actuation of the post and an electronic control unit 42 for controlling the movements of the post, of the devices mounted on the multipurpose head and of other devices described hereafter.
  • the post is provided with stabilisation means that ensure that it is kept in a perfectly vertical position.
  • said stabilisation means comprise a base plate 50 positioned on the bottom of the lower portion 34 of the post seat 30 for supporting the lower segment 102 of the post.
  • Said base plate 50 is provided with threaded holes.
  • a pierced stabilisation plate 102 is arranged about the upper portion of the lower segment 102 of the post, suitable for abutting on the abutment plane 38 which constitutes the bottom of the upper portion 36 of the post seat.
  • Said stabilisation plate 52 supports a plurality of tie-rods 54 which surround the lower segment 102 of the post and which are screwed into the threaded holes of the base plate 50.
  • Said tie-rods 54 are placed in traction between the two plates 50, 52 for example by means of locking nuts. The individual tightening of said tie-rods 54 allows an adjustment of the post inclination.
  • a caisson 60 suitable for defining the technical space 37, isolating the equipment contained therein from the ground.
  • said caisson 60 includes a bottom wall 62 resting on the bottom of the upper portion 36 of the post seat and provided with a hole for the passage of the post, a side wall 64 having a height substantially equal to the depth of the upper portion 36 of the post seat, and an upper wall 66.
  • Such an upper wall 66 superiorly closes the upper portion 36 of the post seat except for opening 32 for the passage of the post.
  • the upper wall 66 is therefore substantially flush with the ground surface and can be concealed by making the upper side conforming with the surrounding ground.
  • said upper wall 66 is walkable to access the multipurpose head 20.
  • the upper wall 66 is suitable for being easily removed or opened to access the technical space.
  • the upper surface of the multipurpose head 20 is coplanar or connected to the upper wall 66 when said head is inside the post seat 30.
  • the multipurpose post is fitted with a closure plate 70 which closes opening 32 in the upper wall 66 of the caisson when the telescopic post is extracted ( Figure 2).
  • the multipurpose head 20 has a plan extension which is generally greater than the diameter of the telescopic post, when the multipurpose head 20 is raised above the ground, around the post there would be an annular opening through which foreign bodies may enter into the technical space and which could constitute a danger to people or animals.
  • the closure plate 70 is positioned around the telescopic post, preferably coaxially thereto, and is movable between a lowered position, in which it is contained in the upper portion 36 of the post seat, and a raised position, in which it is coplanar for example with an upper surface 70' thereof, with the ground surface or with the upper wall 66 of caisson 60.
  • the closure plate 70 is driven by hydraulic or pneumatic actuators 72, e.g. jacks, for example supported by the underlying stabilisation plate 52 and controlled by the control unit 42.
  • hydraulic or pneumatic actuators 72 e.g. jacks, for example supported by the underlying stabilisation plate 52 and controlled by the control unit 42.
  • the closure plate 70 is provided with cleaner nozzles 74 connected to a compressed air source and oriented in such a way as to direct compressed air jets on the upper side of said closure plate 70.
  • said cleaner nozzles 72 are made in an annular flange which surrounds the telescopic post. The nozzles can be activated by the control unit 42 to clean the closure plate 70 in raised position before its return to the lowered position. ⁇ In this way, dirt, dust or other foreign matter that might have accumulated on the closure plate are prevented from entering the technical space when it is in raised position .
  • the cleaner nozzles 72 are supplied with the compressed air generated by the movement of the post from the position of maximum position to the position of minimum extension.
  • the closure plate 70 also supports one or more loudspeakers 76 for broadcasting a sound signal, such as music or alarm messages or others, e.g. by wired wireless.
  • the lighting devices 22 include one or more LED lamps with high luminous power.
  • the video- surveillance devices 24 are made using cameras, such as "dome" type.
  • Each LED lamp 22 is associated with a finned heat dissipator body 22' for the dissipation of the heat produced thereby.
  • the multipurpose head 20 includes a lower support plate 202 to which the lighting 22 and/or video-surveillance devices 24, an upper plate 204 adapted to engage opening 32 of the post seat are attached.
  • the heat dissipator bodies 22' are attached between said lower 202 and upper plates 204.
  • an electrical box 80; 800 containing all the electric/electronic components used for the functioning of the lighting and/or video- surveillance devices, such as transformers in the case of LED lamps, circuit boards of the cameras and related wiring.
  • the electrical box 80 takes an oblong shape with diameter extension which surrounds, at the two opposite ends, openings 24' in the lower plate at cameras 24, incorporating the electrical/electronic components of such cameras that pass through said openings 24'.
  • the central portion of the electrical box 80 contains the two transformers of the LED lamps and related wiring.
  • the electrical box is 80 is in this case formed by a pair of longitudinal walls 82 opposite and parallel to one another, which mate, preferably through a simple approach of respective interlocking portions, with semicylindrical end walls 84.
  • the two heat dissipator bodies 22 of the LED lamps are placed outside the electrical box 80, adjacent the longitudinal walls in diametrically opposed positions.
  • the lamps on the outside and the respective four heat dissipators, on the inside, of the bottom plate 202 are located in the same seats used for the other two configurations described above, i.e. around the centre of the plate and along two diameters perpendicular to each other.
  • the electrical box 800 takes a cylindrical shape and is positioned coaxially in the centre of the upper and lower plates, between the four heat dissipator bodies 22 ' .
  • Such a box is made from the interlocked mating of the two semicylindrical end walls 84.
  • the post does not involve hazards to people, animals or things, is difficult to tamper with and, thanks to the fact that the handling and control equipment is buried and thus protected from the weather, requires little maintenance.
