  • the detergents and the other agents can be poured inside the compartment 10, as well as in the other compartments 11, 12 and 13.
  • the auxiliary storage compartment 11 is positioned on the drawer 1 next to the detergent storage compartment 10 along the sliding direction S of said drawer 1.
  • the other compartments 12 and 13 are located sideway of the auxiliary storage compartment 11 and of the detergent storage compartment 10.
  • an outlet 3 is defined in the drawer 1 , through which the detergent is delivered from the detergent storing compartment 10 to the laundry treating chamber 107, e.g. by a detergent feeding line, not shown in the Figures.
  • a passage 14, connecting the detergent storage compartment 10 to the outlet 3 is also defined in the drawer 1.
  • the auxiliary storage compartment 11 is formed above the passage 14.
  • the detergent storage compartment 10 is adapted to receive a flow of water for delivering the detergent from the compartment 10 to the outlet 3, passing through passage 14, as it is required during the washing cycle.
  • the washing machine further comprises a partitioning device 2, at least partially preventing passage of detergent through a bottom portion 10' of the detergent storing compartment 10 towards the outlet 3.
  • the partitioning device 2 comprises a pivotable partition element 20 arranged in the detergent compartment 10 and pivotable about a horizontal axis X such that it can be located in a first, lowered, position, in which passage of detergent through said bottom portion 10' is at least partially prevented by the presence of the partition element 20.
  • the partition element 20 is complementary shaped to the cross section of the bottom portion 10' of the detergent storing compartment 10 with respect to a delivery direction d of the detergent.
  • the partition element 20 can be rotated about the horizontal axis X to a second, lifted, position in which passage through said bottom portion 10' of detergent is allowed. It will be therefore appreciated that this position is more suitable when powder detergent is used, since the flow of water is not obstructed by the partition element 20 and the risk of powder being stuck on the partition element is remarkably reduced.
  • the partitioning device 2 further comprises an operative element 21 extending in a direction opposite to the partition element 20 with respect to the horizontal axis X.
  • the operative element 21 comprises a grip portion 210 positioned above an horizontal plane a comprising the horizontal axis X, i.e. axis X lies in plane a, both in the first and the second position of the partition element 20.
  • the grip portion 210 can be easily reached by the hand of a user when said partition element 20 is both in the first and the second position for rotating it between said positions.
  • the drawer 1 comprises a cover portion 4 into which a window 42 is defined for the passage of the operative element 21. Accordingly, the operative element 21 can project above the cover portion 4, thus making it easily reachable, while the partition element 20 is located underneath the cover portion 4, for protecting it both in its first position and in the second position.
  • a through-opening 23, shown in Fig. 7A-C, is defined in the partition element 21, through which the detergent can pass when the partition element 20 is in the first lowered position. It will be therefore appreciated that since the through-opening 23 is positioned above the bottom portion 10' when the partition element 20 is in the lowered position, the detergent will be delivered to the outlet 3 only when a suitable flow of water is provided in the detergent storing compartment 10. Also, the through-opening 23 is preferably positioned below the horizontal plane a at least when the partition element 20 is in the first lowered position and, in this manner, even when a liquid detergent is used the operative element 21 is not touched by any detergent, thus remaining clean.
  • the operative element 21 is formed by a rotary knob, radially extending from a cylindrical body 22 of the partitioning device 2.
  • the cylindrical body 22, together with axially projecting pins 25, forms a shaft of the partitioning device, rotatable about the horizontal axis X and to which the partition element 21 is connected.
  • pins 25, or more in general the shaft are snap-fitted into openings 17 formed side walls 15 of the detergent storage compartment 10 and shown in Fig. 9.
  • the side walls preferably comprises a tilted portion 16.
  • the operative element 21 has an irregular surface, e.g. formed by a plurality of notches 211, improving the grip of a finger or of a thumb and, accordingly, allowing an easier rotation of the knob, or more in general of the operative element, and of the partition element 20.
  • the operative element 21 and the detergent storing compartment 10 comprises respective reference signs 212 and 112, that, when aligned, indicated that partition element 20 is in a certain position, e.g. in the first or the second position.
  • the washing machine 100 further comprises a releasable retaining device 5 of the partitioning device 2, shown in Fig. 8, capable of retaining the pivotable partition element 20 at least in the second lifted position.
  • the partition element 20 when retained in the lifted position shown in Fig. 5 and 5A, will not be rotated by gravity, but a stronger force, as the one that may be provided by a user acting on the rotary knob, will be required in order to release it from the lifted position.
  • the releasable retaining device 5 preferably comprises a recess 51 and a respective projection 55, respectively formed on the partitioning device 2 and on the detergent storing compartment 10. It will be anyhow appreciated that according to an alternative embodiment, the recess 51 can be formed on the storing compartment and the projection on the partitioning device.
  • the projection 55 is at least partially housed in the recess 51 when the pivotable partition element 21 is in the second lifted position, thus retaining the partitioning device in such position.
  • the projection 55 is formed on at least one of the side walls 15 of the detergent storage compartment 10.
  • the side walls 15 are partially elastically deformable, they can be easily moved apart as the surface of the recess 51 abuts on the projection 55 when the operating portion 21 is rotated for releasing the retaining device 5.
  • the retaining device 5 comprises further recesses or projections 5.
  • a second recess 50' can be provided on the partitioning device 2 for retaining the partition element 20 in an intermediate position between said first and second position, which can be used, e.g. for gel detergents.
  • a recess 50 corresponding to the first lowered position can be provided.
  • the recess 51 as well as other recesses 50', 51, are formed on a shoulder 22' of the cylindrical body 22 adjacent to the pins 25.
  • the shoulder 22' is also provided with an enlarged portion 52 located in an angular position adjacent to the recess 50 and/or 51 and opposed to the other recess. In this manner, when the partitioning device 2 is retained by engaging the projection 15 in either recess 50 or recess 51, respectively corresponding to the first and second position, the partitioning device can rotate only in one direction.
  • the retaining device 5 allows to keep the partition element 20 in the lifted position even if this position is separated by a limited angle of rotation from the first lowered position. This allows to maintain the partition element 20 covered by the cover portion 4 in each operative position, i.e. in the first, the second and in the intermediate ones. Therefore, according to a preferred embodiment, the pivotable partition element 20 is rotated of an angle lower than 90 degrees, preferably lower than 45 degrees, when displaced between the first and the second position.
  • the use of the retaining device 5 also allows to displace the pivotable partition element 20 from the first lowered position to the second lifted position by rotating it in a lifting direction 1 concordant to a delivery direction d of the detergent from the storing compartment 10 to the outlet 3.
  • the distance from the axis X to a bottom surface of the detergent storing compartment 10 is lower than the radial development of the partition element 20 from the axis X. In this manner, from the lowered position only rotation of the partition element 20 in one direction, corresponding to the lifting direction 1, is permitted.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une machine à laver (100), qui comprend une chambre de traitement de linge (107), au moins un compartiment de stockage de détergent (10), une sortie (3) à travers laquelle le détergent est distribué du compartiment de stockage de détergent à la chambre de traitement de linge, et un dispositif de séparation (2) pour empêcher au moins partiellement le passage de détergent à travers une partie inférieure (10') du compartiment de stockage de détergent vers la sortie. Le dispositif de séparation comprend un élément de séparation rotatif (20) disposé dans le compartiment de détergent et pouvant tourner autour d'un axe horizontal. Le dispositif de séparation comprend en outre un élément fonctionnel (21) s'étendant dans une direction opposée à l'élément de séparation rotatif par rapport à l'axe horizontal.
