Abstract

L'invention concerne un outil de galetage servant à produire une structure dentée dans une paroi (6.2) d'une ébauche cylindrique (6), ledit outil se caractérisant par les éléments suivants : • - un dispositif de serrage servant à maintenir l'ébauche (6); • - une couronne de galets (1) en forme de disque montés de manière à pouvoir tourner, dont les bords périphériques sont dirigés vers la paroi (6.2) de l'ébauche et peuvent être pressés contre ladite paroi; • - des tourillons (2) servant au montage des galets (1); • - un poinçon (9) placé à l'intérieur de l'ébauche (6) et muni d'une structure dentée complémentaire; • - un mécanisme d'entraînement servant à produire un mouvement relatif dans une direction d'avance (7) entre les galets (1) et l'ébauche (6). L'invention est caractérisée en ce qu'un élément intermédiaire (11) en forme de coin comprime les galets (1) en exerçant une pression sur les tourillons (2) et prend appui sur un environnement fixe, sa position dans la direction d'avance (7) étant déterminée par au moins un écarteur remplaçable.
