Abstract

 車両制御装置101は、エンジン10、回転電機30及びコントロールユニット80を備える。回転電機30では、第一ロータ31がエンジン10に機械的に連結され、第二ロータ32が出力軸50に連結されている。回転電機30は、第一ロータ31を回転駆動可能な内側モータ30aと、第二ロータ32を回転駆動可能な外側モータ30bとを含む。コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに電力を供給し動作させることでエンジン10を始動させ、エンジン10を始動させる際、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bそれぞれでの回転数に対応した発生可能なトルクの少なくとも一方が、エンジン10の始動のために内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bに要するトルクに対して不足する場合、エンジン10の始動トルクが低くなるように内側モータ30aを動作させてエンジン10を始動する。

Description

車両制御装置
 この発明は、車両制御装置に係り、特に、内燃機関及び回転電機を用いて駆動される車両の車両制御装置に関する。
 内燃機関であるエンジン及び回転電機であるモータを動力源として備えるハイブリッド自動車では、例えば特許文献1に示されるように、内外に二重に配置された2つのロータを有する二重ロータ型の回転電機を使用したものがある。
 特許文献1に記載の回転電機は、エンジンの駆動力が伝達される入力軸に連結され且つ最も内側に配置される入力側ロータと、入力側ロータの径方向外側に配置され且つ出力軸が連結された出力側ロータと、出力側ロータの径方向外側に配置されてケーシング等に固定されたステータとを有している。入力側ロータは、その周方向に沿ってロータ巻線が設けられたロータコアを有し、ステータも、その周方向に沿ってステータ巻線が設けられたステータコアを有している。出力側ロータは、ロータコアと、ロータコアの内周部に入力側ロータのロータコアと対向して配置された永久磁石と、ロータコアの外周部にステータコアと対向して配置された永久磁石とを有している。
 上記の回転電機を搭載したハイブリッド自動車では、エンジンを停止させている場合、インバータによって蓄電装置からステータのステータ巻線に電力を供給して回転磁界を発生させ、この回転磁界と出力側ロータの永久磁石との作用により発生する回転トルクによって出力側ロータを出力軸と共に回転駆動させ、車両の走行が行われる。また、エンジンを稼働させた場合、エンジンによって入力側ロータが回転駆動され、入力側ロータの回転速度が出力側ロータの回転速度と差異を有するようになると、入力側ロータのロータ巻線に誘導起電力が発生し、誘導起電力が発生する回転磁界と出力側ロータの永久磁石との作用により発生する回転トルクによって、出力側ロータ及び出力軸に回転駆動力が付与される。また、入力側ロータのロータ巻線に発生した誘導起電力は、入力軸に設けられたスリップリング機構を介して取り出され、蓄電装置に蓄電される。

 特許文献1の回転電機では、エンジンを始動させる際、蓄電装置から入力側ロータに電力を供給してそのロータ巻線に回転磁界を発生させ、この回転磁界と出力側ロータの永久磁石との作用により発生する回転トルクによって入力側ロータ及び入力軸を回転駆動させてエンジンを始動させる。このとき、回転電機における入力側ロータ及び出力側ロータによって構成される内側モータには、エンジン始動時の内側モータの回転数、すなわち出力側ロータの回転数から入力側ロータの回転数を減じた回転数差に、エンジンを始動させるためのエンジン始動トルクを乗じた出力が要求される。このため、車両の高速走行時において、出力側ロータが高速回転しており、出力側ロータの回転数と入力側ロータの回転数との差が大きく、内側モータの回転数が高い状態にあるときにエンジンを始動させる場合、内側モータには高出力が要求される。
 また、入力側ロータを回転駆動させてエンジンを始動させる際、出力側ロータにエンジン始動トルクの反力が作用し、出力側ロータ及びステータによって構成される外側モータに反力が作用することになる。このとき、外側モータが、内側モータの入力側ロータを回転駆動させる際の抵抗となり、内側モータに対して制動トルクを発生させる場合がある。このような制動トルクの発生を防ぐには、外側モータは、車両を走行させるための走行用トルクにエンジン始動トルクを加えたトルクを発生する必要があり、高い出力が要求される。特に、高速走行時にエンジンを始動させる場合には、内側モータに対して高出力が要求されると共に、外側モータに対して内側モータの高い出力及び車両の高速走行に対応した高出力が要求されることとなり、内側モータ及び外側モータの高出力化が必要になり回転電機が大型化するという問題が生じる。
 この発明は上記のような問題を解決するためになされたものであり、エンジン(内燃機関)を始動させるのに要する回転電機の出力の低減を図る車両制御装置を提供することを目的とする。
 上記の課題を解決するために、この発明に係る車両制御装置は、内燃機関と、回転可能な第一回転子、第一回転子に対して回転半径方向外側で相対回転可能に設けられる第二回転子、及び第二回転子の回転半径方向外側で固定配設される固定子を含む回転電機と、回転電機に対する電力の需給を制御する制御部とを備え、第一回転子及び第二回転子のうちの一方が、内燃機関に機械的に連結されると共に、第一回転子及び第二回転子のうちの他方が、車両駆動機構に機械的に連結され、回転電機は、第一回転子、第二回転子及び固定子のうちの隣り合う2つによって構成されると共に、電力が供給されることによって内燃機関に連結された回転子を回転駆動可能な第一回転電機部と、第一回転子、第二回転子及び固定子のうちの別の隣り合う2つによって構成されると共に、電力が供給されることによって車両駆動機構に連結された回転子を回転駆動可能な第二回転電機部とを含み、制御部は、第一回転電機部に電力を供給して、第一回転電機部を動作させることによって、内燃機関を始動させ、制御部は、内燃機関を始動させる際、第一回転電機部及び第二回転電機部それぞれでの回転数に対応した発生可能なトルクの少なくとも一方が、内燃機関を始動するために第一回転電機部及び第二回転電機部に要するトルクに対して不足する場合、第一回転電機部による内燃機関を始動させるための始動トルクを低くするように第一回転電機部の動作を制御する。
 この発明に係る車両制御装置によれば、内燃機械を始動させるのに要する回転電機の出力を低減することが可能になる。

実施の形態
 以下、この発明の実施の形態について添付図面に基づいて説明する。
 まず、この発明の実施の形態に係る車両制御装置101の構成を説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、車両制御装置101は、ハイブリッド自動車に搭載されるものとして説明する。
 図1を参照すると、車両制御装置101は、内燃機関であるエンジン10と、三相交流電力によって動作する二重ロータ型モータである回転電機30とをハイブリッド自動車の動力源として備えている。回転電機30は、第一ロータ31、第二ロータ32及びステータ33と、これらを収容するケーシング34とを備えている。
 ここで、第一ロータ31は第一回転子を構成し、第二ロータ32は第二回転子を構成し、ステータ33は固定子を構成している。
 第一ロータ31は、第一ロータ31、第二ロータ32及びステータ33の中で最も中心側に配置され、エンジン10に入力軸40によって機械的に連結されている。なお、この機械的に連結されるとは、第一ロータ31が入力軸40を介してエンジン10に直接的に連結される場合、並びに、第一ロータ31が入力軸40に加えて増速機、減速機のような変速機構、機械式の動力伝達機構等を介してエンジン10に間接的に連結される場合を含む。
 第一ロータ31は、入力軸40に連結され且つ円柱状をした第一コア31aと、第一コア31aの外周面近傍に周方向に沿って設けられた第一巻線31bとを有している。第一コア31aは、鉄等の磁性体から形成されている。さらに、第一ロータ31は、入力軸40を中心として入力軸40と一体に回転することができる。
 第二ロータ32は、第一ロータ31の外周を囲むように径方向外側に設けられ且つ円筒状をした第二コア32aと、第一コア31aに対向する第二コア32aの内周面近傍に周方向に沿って埋め込まれた第一永久磁石32bと、第二コア32aにおける内周面と反対側の外周面近傍に周方向に沿って埋め込まれた第二永久磁石32cとを有している。つまり、第一永久磁石32bは、第一巻線31bと対向している。第二コア32aは、鉄等の磁性体から形成されている。さらに、第二ロータ32は、第一ロータ31の外周に沿って、第一ロータ31に対して相対的に回転することができる。
 よって、回転電機30では、第一巻線31bと第一永久磁石32bとにより、第一ロータ31及び第二ロータ32からなる1つのモータである内側モータ30aが形成される。
 ここで、内側モータ30aは、第一回転電機部を構成している。
 ステータ33は、第二ロータ32の外周を囲むように径方向外側に設けられ且つ円筒状をしたステータコア33aと、ステータコア33aにおける第二コア32aと対向する内周面近傍に周方向に沿って設けられた第二巻線33bとを有している。つまり、第二巻線33bは、第二永久磁石32cと対向している。ステータコア33aは、鉄等の磁性体から形成されている。さらに、ステータコア33aは、ケーシング34に固定されている。
 よって、回転電機30では、第二永久磁石32cと第二巻線33bとにより、第二ロータ32及びステータ33からなる1つのモータである外側モータ30bが形成される。
 なお、図1では、第一ロータ31、第二ロータ32及びステータ33の断面が模式的に示されている。
 また、第二ロータ32の第二コア32aには、出力軸50が、第二コア32aと一体に回転するように機械的に連結され、出力軸50の端部にはピニオンギヤ61が取り付けられている。ピニオンギヤ61は、ドリブンギヤ62とギヤ係合している。さらに、ドリブンギヤ62は、車輪71に図示しないデファレンシャルギヤを介して接続された駆動軸72に一体に回転するように取り付けられている。よって、第二ロータ32が回転することによって、車輪71が回転駆動される。なお、第二ロータ32は、駆動軸72に対して、出力軸50、ピニオンギヤ61、ドリブンギヤ62及びデファレンシャルギヤに加えて、変速機等の機械式の動力伝達機構を介して機械的に連結されていてもよい。
 ここで、出力軸50、ピニオンギヤ61、ドリブンギヤ62及び駆動軸72は、車両駆動機構を構成し、外側モータ30bは、第二回転電機部を構成している。
 また、車両制御装置101は、直流電力を充放電可能なバッテリ23と、バッテリ23に電気的に接続された第一インバータ21及び第二インバータ22とを備えている。第一インバータ21及び第二インバータ22は、バッテリ23から供給された直流電力を三相交流電力に変換することができるほか、三相交流電力を直流電力に変換しバッテリ23に供給することができる。第一インバータ21及び第二インバータ22は、後述するコントロールユニット80によって動作が制御される。
 ここで、コントロールユニット80、第一インバータ21及び第二インバータ22は、制御部を構成している。
 第一インバータ21は、ステータ33の第二巻線33bに電気的に接続されている。これにより、第一インバータ21から出力される三相交流電力は、第二巻線33bに供給される。一方、第二巻線33bで交流電流である誘導電流が発生すると、この誘導電流は、第一インバータ21に供給され、第一インバータ21で直流電流に変換されてバッテリ23に供給される。
 第二インバータ22は、入力軸40の周りに取り付けられたスリップリング機構24に図示しないブラシを介して電気的に接続されている。第二インバータ22から出力される三相交流電力は、スリップリング機構24を介して入力軸40に沿って設けられた導電体に伝達され、この導電体を通って第一ロータ31の第一巻線31bに供給される。一方、第一巻線31bで交流電流である誘導電流が発生すると、この誘導電流は、導電体及びスリップリング機構24を介して第二インバータ22に供給され、第二インバータ22で直流電流に変換されてバッテリ23に供給される。
 コントロールユニット80は、第一インバータ21及び第二インバータ22を制御することによって回転電機30のステータ33の第二巻線33b及び第一ロータ31の第一巻線31bへの電力供給を制御する。さらに、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10の運転も制御する。また、コントロールユニット80は、第一回転検出センサ41によって入力軸40の回転数(回転速度)を検出することで第一ロータ31の回転速度(回転数)を検出し、第二回転検出センサ51によって出力軸50の回転数(回転速度)を検出することで第二ロータ32の回転速度(回転数)を検出する。
 さらに、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10の回転数を検出するエンジン回転検出センサ11からエンジン回転数を受け取るように構成されている。なお、エンジン10の回転数と入力軸40の回転数とが同一である場合、エンジン回転検出センサ11又は第一回転検出センサ41のいずれかを省略してもよい。
 次に、この発明の実施の形態に係る車両制御装置101の動作を説明する。なお、エンジン10及び回転電機30の第一ロータ31が停止した状態でエンジン10を始動させる際の車両制御装置101の動作について主に説明する。
 図1を参照すると、エンジン10を停止して回転電機30のみによって車両を走行させるEVモード走行の際、コントロールユニット80は、第一インバータ21を制御することによってバッテリ23の直流電力を三相交流電力に変換して回転電機30のステータ33の第二巻線33bに供給する。このとき、第二巻線33bの三相交流電力が回転磁界を発生し、この回転磁界が第二永久磁石32cに作用して第二ロータ32を回転させる。つまり、回転電機30の外側モータ30bが駆動される。これにより、第二ロータ32と共に出力軸50が回転駆動され、出力軸50の回転駆動力は、ピニオンギヤ61、ドリブンギヤ62及び駆動軸72を介して車輪71に伝達して、車両が走行する。なお、本実施の形態では、エンジン10が停止状態のとき、第一ロータ31は停止しているものとして説明する。
 また、コントロールユニット80は、第二回転検出センサ51から受け取る回転数情報から第二ロータ32つまり外側モータ30bの回転数を検出している。さらに、コントロールユニット80は、第二回転検出センサ51から受け取る第二ロータ32の回転数から第一回転検出センサ41から受け取る第一ロータ31の回転数を減じることで内側モータ30aの回転数も検出している。
 そして、EVモード走行中にバッテリ23の充電率(SOC)が第一の所定値を下回ると、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10を始動させて回転電機30の内側モータ30aに発電をさせる制御を実行する。
 エンジン10を始動させる際、コントロールユニット80は、第二インバータ22を制御して、バッテリ23の直流電力を三相交流電力に変換して第一ロータ31の第一巻線31bに供給する。第一巻線31bの三相交流電力は、回転磁界を発生して第二ロータ32の第一永久磁石32bに作用させ、第一ロータ31と第二ロータ32との間に相対的な回転トルクを発生させる。これにより、第一ロータ31が回転駆動されて入力軸40及びエンジン10が強制的に回転駆動され、エンジン10が始動する。このとき、エンジン10が始動するまでの過程、すなわちエンジン10が強制回転され始めてから燃焼を伴った運転を開始するまでの過程を通じて、内側モータ30aが第一ロータ31に対して発生するトルクが、エンジン10を始動させるように回転駆動させることが可能なエンジン始動トルク以上であればエンジン10は始動することができ、エンジン始動トルク未満になればエンジン10は始動できない。
 そして、エンジン10が運転することによって、第一ロータ31が回転駆動され、第一ロータ31が第二ロータ32に対して相対回転することによって、第一永久磁石32bによって発生する磁界の中を、第一ロータ31の第一巻線31bが高い速度で相対移動し、それにより第一巻線31bに大きな誘導電流が発生する。発生した誘導電流は、スリップリング機構24を介して第二インバータ22に流れて直流電流に変換された後、バッテリ23に蓄電される。つまり、エンジン10が運転することによって、内側モータ30aは発電機として機能する。
 ここで、エンジン10を始動する過程で要するエンジン始動トルクTegは、以下の(式1)のように構成される。

 なお、上記(式1)において、「Tf」は、エンジン10、機械的連結部、摺動部等のフリクションによるトルクであり、エンジン10を始動する過程でのエンジン10の回転数に依存し、この回転数が高くなる程大きくなる。「I」は、エンジン10、第一ロータ31、入力軸40などにおける回転部品の慣性である。「α」は、エンジン10を始動する際のエンジン10の回転部品を回転させる角加速度であり、α=dω/dtで示されるように、角速度の時間変化率である。
 そして、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10を始動する過程におけるエンジン10の回転数及びエンジン10の温度等からフリクショントルク「Tf」の値を算出して決定すると共に、エンジン10を始動する過程におけるエンジン10の回転数、外側モータ30bの回転数つまり車速及び内側モータ30aの回転数等から角加速度「α」の値を設定する。そして、コントロールユニット80は、決定及び設定したフリクショントルク「Tf」及び角加速度「α」の値と、予め設定されている慣性「I」の値とを上記(式1)に適用して、エンジン始動トルク「Teg」を算出し、算出したエンジン始動トルク「Teg」を出力できるように、内側モータ30aの第一ロータ31に電力を供給する。
 エンジン10を始動する過程では、エンジン10の始動が可能なように、回転を停止しているエンジン10を回転駆動させ、さらに、回転を開始したエンジン10の回転駆動を継続する必要がある。このため、エンジン10を始動する過程における回転を停止しているエンジン10を回転駆動させる場合と、エンジン10を始動する過程における回転を開始したエンジン10をさらに回転駆動させる場合との動作について、説明する。
(1)回転を停止しているエンジン10を回転駆動させる場合
 図1及び図2をあわせて参照すると、コントロールユニット80は、図2のグラフ2aに示すような回転電機30における内側モータ30aの特性を示す曲線M1を、マップ、テーブル又は数式として予め記憶している。なお、図2のグラフ2aでは、横軸に内側モータ30aのモータ回転数をとり、縦軸に内側モータ30aのモータ発生トルクをとっている。そして、曲線M1上におけるモータ発生トルクとモータ回転数との関係は、第一ロータ31に供給可能な最大電力が供給される最大出力時に内側モータ30aがとるモータ発生トルク及びモータ回転数を意味している。つまり、曲線M1上のモータ発生トルク及びモータ回転数は、内側モータ30aの最大出力状態を示している。言い換えれば、曲線M1は、各モータ回転数と、各モータ回転数で内側モータ30aが発生することができる最大のモータ発生トルクとの関係を示している。
 また、コントロールユニット80は、図2のグラフ2bに示すような回転電機30における外側モータ30bの特性を示す曲線M2を、マップ、テーブル又は数式として予め記憶している。なお、図2のグラフ2bでは、横軸に外側モータ30bのモータ回転数をとり、縦軸に外側モータ30bのモータ発生トルクをとっている。そして、曲線M2上におけるモータ発生トルクとモータ回転数との関係は、ステータ33に供給可能な最大電力が供給される最大出力時に外側モータ30bがとるモータ発生トルク及びモータ回転数を意味している。つまり、曲線M2上のモータ発生トルク及びモータ回転数は、外側モータ30bの最大出力状態を示している。言い換えれば、曲線M2は、各モータ回転数と、各モータ回転数で外側モータ30bが発生することができる最大のモータ発生トルクとの関係を示している。
 コントロールユニット80は、回転停止しているエンジン10を回転駆動するにあたり、上記(式1)によってエンジン始動トルク「Teg」を算出するが、この際、上述したように、エンジン回転数(この場合、0)に基づきフリクショントルク「Tf」の値を算出して設定すると共に、エンジン回転数、外側モータ30bの回転数及び内側モータ30aの回転数に対応して予め設定して記憶している角加速度に基づき角加速度「α」を設定する。
 つまり、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10が回転停止状態にある場合、フリクショントルク「Tf」としてTf0を算出すると共に、角加速度「α」として角加速度α0を算出する。さらに、コントロールユニット80は、フリクショントルクTf0及び角加速度α0を用いて、エンジン始動トルクTeg0を算出する。これにより、内側モータ30aには、エンジン10の回転を開始するためにトルクTeg0を発生することが必要になる。
 グラフ2aに示すように、内側モータ30aがトルクTeg0を発生することができるのは、内側モータ30aの回転数がRin0以下の場合である。
 さらに、内側モータ30aがトルクTeg0を発生するとき、内側モータ30aによって回転駆動される第一ロータ31の回転を妨げる制動トルクを外側モータ30bが発生しないように、外側モータ30bの第二ロータ32に対して、車両を走行させるための走行要求トルクTrun0に内側モータ30aの発生トルクTeg0を加えたトルクTout0(Tout0=Trun0+Teg0)を発生させる制御が実施される。そして、外側モータ30bがトルクTout0を発生することができるのは、グラフ2bに示されるように外側モータ30bの回転数がRout0以下の場合である。
 また、回転停止しているエンジン10に回転を開始させる時点での内側モータ30aの回転数と外側モータ30bの回転数とは、同一となっている。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、以下のような制御パターン(A1)~(D1)に従って、エンジン10の回転駆動の開始を実施する。
(A1)エンジン10に回転を開始させる時点で、内側モータ30aの回転数RaがRin0以下であり且つ外側モータ30bの回転数RaがRout0以下である場合
 図1~図3をあわせて参照すると、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bはそれぞれ、トルクTeg0以上及びトルクTout0以上を発生可能である。このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aにトルクTeg0を発生させ、外側モータ30bにトルクTout0を発生させるように、第一ロータ31及びステータ33への電力供給を制御する。これにより、エンジン10は始動に適した回転駆動を開始することができる。
 なお、エンジン10が回転を開始すると、内側モータ30aの回転数が外側モータ30bの回転数よりも小さくなる。
 また、上述の制御では、内側モータ30aに発生させるトルクを、トルクTeg0ではなく、発生可能であればトルクTeg0を超えて発生させてもよい。これにより、上記(式1)における角加速度を増加させることになるため、エンジン10の始動に要する時間が短縮され乗員の不快感を低減することができる。
(B1)エンジン10に回転を開始させる時点で、内側モータ30aの回転数RbがRin0以下であるが外側モータ30bの回転数RbがRout0を超える場合
 図1、図2及び図4をあわせて参照すると、内側モータ30aはトルクTeg0以上のトルクTeg0bを発生可能であるが、外側モータ30bはトルクTout0よりも小さいトルクTout0b以下を発生可能である。なお、回転数Rb及びトルクTeg0bとなる状態は、曲線M1上に位置し、回転数Rb及びトルクTout0bとなる状態は、曲線M2上に位置する。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aの発生すべきエンジン始動トルクをトルクTeg0以下のトルクTeg0b’に低下させるように制御することで、外側モータ30bが発生すべきトルクをトルクTout0b以下のトルクTout0b’(Tout0b’=Trun0+Teg0b’)に低下させる。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに対して、角加速度α0を角加速度α0bに低下させることで内側モータ30aの発生すべきエンジン始動トルクをトルクTeg0b’に低下させる。
 これにより、コントロールユニット80は、電力を供給することによって、回転数Rbの内側モータ30aにトルクTeg0b’を発生させると共に、回転数Rbの外側モータ30bにトルクTout0b’を発生させて稼動させ、さらにこの際、エンジン10に連結された内側モータ30aの第一ロータ31を角加速度α0bで駆動する。それにより、エンジン10が始動に適した回転駆動を開始することができる。なお、コントロールユニット80は、第一ロータ31を駆動する際、角加速度α0よりも低くなった角加速度α0bで回転速度を上昇させるように駆動するため、パターン(A1)よりもエンジン10の始動時間を要することになる。
 ちなみに、エンジン10が回転を開始すると、内側モータ30aの回転数が外側モータ30bの回転数よりも小さくなる。
(C1)エンジン10に回転を開始させる時点で、内側モータ30aの回転数RcがRin0を超えるが外側モータ30bの回転数RcがRout0以下である場合
 図1、図2及び図5をあわせて参照すると、内側モータ30aはトルクTeg0よりも小さいトルクTeg0c以下を発生可能であるが、外側モータ30bはトルクTout0以上のトルクTout0cを発生可能である。なお、回転数Rc及びトルクTeg0cとなる状態は、曲線M1上に位置し、回転数Rc及びトルクTout0cとなる状態は、曲線M2上に位置する。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aの発生すべきエンジン始動トルクをトルクTeg0c以下のトルクTeg0c’に低下させるように制御する。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに対して、角加速度α0を角加速度α0cまで低下させることでエンジン始動トルクをトルクTeg0c’に低下させる。これにより、外側モータ30bの稼動に要するトルクは、トルクTout0c以下のトルクTout0c’(Tout0c’=Trun0+Teg0c’)に低下する。
 よって、コントロールユニット80は、電力を供給することによって、回転数Rcの内側モータ30aにトルクTeg0c’を発生させると共に、回転数Rcの外側モータ30bにトルクTout0c’を発生させて稼動させ、さらにこの際、エンジン10に連結された第一ロータ31を角加速度α0cで駆動する。それにより、エンジン10が始動に適した回転駆動を開始することができる。なお、コントロールユニット80は、第一ロータ31を駆動する際、角加速度α0よりも低くなった角加速度α0cで回転速度を上昇させるように駆動するため、パターン(A1)よりもエンジン10の始動時間を要することになる。
 ちなみに、エンジン10が回転を開始すると、内側モータ30aの回転数が外側モータ30bの回転数よりも小さくなる。
(D1)エンジン10に回転を開始させる時点で、内側モータ30aの回転数RdがRin0を超え且つ外側モータ30bの回転数RdがRout0を超える場合
 図1、図2及び図6をあわせて参照すると、このとき、内側モータ30aはトルクTeg0よりも小さいトルクTeg0d以下を発生可能であり、外側モータ30bはトルクTout0よりも小さいトルクTout0d以下を発生可能である。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aの発生すべきエンジン始動トルクをトルクTeg0d以下のトルクTeg0d’に低下させるように制御する。これにより、外側モータ30bが発生すべきトルクはトルクTout0d以下のトルクTout0d’(Tout0d’=Trun0+Teg0d’)まで低下する。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに対して、角加速度α0を角加速度α0dまで低下させることでエンジン始動トルクをTeg0d’に低下させる。
 よって、コントロールユニット80は、電力を供給することによって、回転数Rdの内側モータ30aにトルクTeg0d’を発生させると共に、回転数Rdの外側モータ30bにトルクTout0d’を発生させて稼動させ、さらにこの際、エンジン10に連結された第一ロータ31を角加速度α0dで駆動する。それにより、エンジン10が始動に適した回転駆動を開始することができる。なお、コントロールユニット80は、第一ロータ31を駆動する際、角加速度α0よりも低くした角加速度α0dで回転速度を上昇させるように駆動するため、パターン(A1)よりもエンジン10の始動時間を要することになる。
 ちなみに、エンジン10が回転を開始すると、内側モータ30aの回転数が外側モータ30bの回転数よりも小さくなる。
(2)回転を開始したエンジン10を回転駆動させる場合
 図1及び図2をあわせて参照すると、コントロールユニット80は、回転を開始しているエンジン10をさらに回転駆動するあたり、上記(式1)によってエンジン始動トルク「Teg」を算出するが、この際、現状のエンジン回転数に基づきフリクショントルク「Tf」の値を算出して設定すると共に、エンジン10に与えている現状の角加速度を角加速度「α」に設定する。つまり、コントロールユニット80は、フリクショントルク「Tf」として、算出したTfpを設定すると共に、角加速度「α」として現状の角加速度αpを設定する。さらに、コントロールユニット80は、フリクショントルクTfp及び角加速度αpを用いて、エンジン始動トルクTegpを算出する。これにより、内側モータ30aには、エンジン10に始動に適した回転駆動を与えるためにトルクTegpを発生することが必要になる。
 そして、グラフ2aに示されるように内側モータ30aがトルクTegpを発生することができるのは、内側モータ30aの回転数がRinp以下の場合である。
 さらに、トルクTegpを発生する内側モータ30aによって回転駆動される第一ロータ31の回転を妨げる制動トルクを外側モータ30bが発生しないように、外側モータ30bの第二ロータ32に対して、現状の走行要求トルクTrunpに内側モータ30aの発生トルクTegpを加えたトルクToutp(Toutp=Trunp+Tegp)を発生させる制御が実施される。そして、外側モータ30bがトルクToutpを発生することができるのは、グラフ2bに示されるように外側モータ30bの回転数がRoutp以下の場合である。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10を始動する過程において、以下のような制御パターン(A2)~(D2)に従って、エンジン10の始動に適した回転駆動を実施する。
(A2)エンジン10を始動する過程で、内側モータ30aの回転数がRinp以下のRinpaであり且つ外側モータ30bの回転数がRoutp以下のRoutpaである場合
 図1、図2及び図7をあわせて参照すると、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bはそれぞれ、トルクTegp以上のトルクTegpa及びトルクToutp以上のトルクToutpaを発生可能である。このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aにトルクTegpを発生させ、外側モータ30bにトルクToutpを発生させるように、第一ロータ31及びステータ33への電力供給を制御する。これにより、エンジン10は始動に適した回転駆動を行うことができる。
 なお、上述の制御では、内側モータ30aに発生させるトルクを、トルクTegpではなく、発生可能であればトルクTegpを超えて発生させてもよい。これにより、上記(式1)における角加速度を増加させることになるため、エンジン10の始動に要する時間が短縮され乗員の不快感を低減することができる。
(B2)エンジン10を始動する過程で、内側モータ30aの回転数がRinp以下のRinpbであるが外側モータ30bの回転数がRoutpを超えるRoutpbである場合
 図1、図2及び図8をあわせて参照すると、内側モータ30aはトルクTegp以上のトルクTegpbを発生可能であるが、外側モータ30bはトルクToutpよりも小さいトルクToutpb以下を発生可能である。なお、回転数Rinpb及びトルクTegpbとなる状態は、曲線M1上に位置し、回転数Routpb及びトルクToutpbとなる状態は、曲線M2上に位置する。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aの発生すべきエンジン始動トルクをトルクTegpb以下のトルクTegpb’に低下させるように制御することで、外側モータ30bが発生すべきトルクをトルクToutpb以下のトルクToutpb’(Toutpb’=Trunp+Tegpb’)に低下させる。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに対して、角加速度αpを角加速度αpbに低下させることで、エンジン始動トルクをトルクTegpb’に低下させる。
 これにより、コントロールユニット80は、電力を供給することによって、回転数Rinpbの内側モータ30aにトルクTegpb’を発生させると共に、回転数Routpbの外側モータ30bにトルクToutpb’を発生させて稼動させ、さらにこの際、エンジン10に連結された第一ロータ31を角加速度αpbで駆動する。それにより、エンジン10が始動に適した回転駆動を行うことができる。なお、コントロールユニット80は、第一ロータ31を駆動する際、角加速度αpよりも低くなった角加速度αpbで回転速度を上昇させるように駆動するため、パターン(A2)よりもエンジン10の始動時間を要することになる。
(C2)エンジン10を始動する過程で、内側モータ30aの回転数がRinpを超えるRinpcであるが外側モータ30bの回転数がRoutp以下のRoutpcである場合
 図1、図2及び図9をあわせて参照すると、内側モータ30aはトルクTegpよりも小さいトルクTegpc以下を発生可能であるが、外側モータ30bはトルクToutp以上のトルクToutpcを発生可能である。なお、回転数Rinpc及びトルクTegpcとなる状態は、曲線M1上に位置し、回転数Routpc及びトルクToutpcとなる状態は、曲線M1上に位置する。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aの発生すべきエンジン始動トルクをトルクTegpc以下のトルクTegpc’に低下させるように制御する。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに対して、角加速度αpを角加速度αpcまで低下させることでエンジン始動トルクをトルクTegpc’に低下させる。これにより、外側モータ30bの稼動に要するトルクは、トルクToutpc以下のトルクToutpc’(Toutpc’=Trunp+Tegpc’)に低下する。
 よって、コントロールユニット80は、電力を供給することによって、回転数Rinpcの内側モータ30aにトルクTegpc’を発生させると共に、回転数Routpcの外側モータ30bにトルクToutpc’を発生させて稼動させ、さらにこの際、エンジン10に連結された第一ロータ31を角加速度αpcで駆動する。それにより、エンジン10が始動に適した回転駆動を行うことができる。なお、コントロールユニット80は、第一ロータ31を駆動する際、角加速度αpよりも低くなった角加速度αpcで回転速度を上昇させるように駆動するため、パターン(A2)よりもエンジン10の始動時間を要することになる。
(D2)エンジン10を始動する過程で、内側モータ30aの回転数がRinpを超えるRinpdであり且つ外側モータ30bの回転数がRoutpを超えるRoutpdである場合
 図1、図2及び図10をあわせて参照すると、内側モータ30aはトルクTegpよりも小さいトルクTegpd以下を発生可能であり、外側モータ30bはトルクToutpよりも小さいトルクToutpd以下を発生可能である。
 このため、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aの発生すべきエンジン始動トルクをトルクTegpd以下のトルクTegpd’に低下させるように制御する。これにより、外側モータ30bが発生すべきトルクはトルクToutpd以下のトルクToutpd’(Toutpd’=Trunp+Tegpd’)まで低下する。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに対して、角加速度αpを角加速度αpdまで低下させることでエンジン始動トルクをTegpd’に低下させる。
 よって、コントロールユニット80は、電力を供給することによって、回転数Rinpdの内側モータ30aにトルクTegpd’を発生させると共に、回転数Routpdの外側モータ30bにトルクToutpd’を発生させて稼動させ、さらにこの際、エンジン10に連結された第一ロータ31を角加速度αpdで駆動する。それにより、エンジン10が始動に適した回転駆動を行うことができる。なお、コントロールユニット80は、第一ロータ31を駆動する際、角加速度αpよりも低くした角加速度αpdで回転速度を上昇させるように回転させるため、パターン(A2)よりもエンジン10の始動時間を要することになる。
 さらに、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10の始動が完了するまで上述のパターン(A2)~(D2)の制御を繰り返し、エンジン10の駆動状態を始動に適した状態に維持する。
 上述のように、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10を始動させる過程における内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bの回転数に対応して、エンジン10に連結された内側モータ30aの第一ロータ31の角加速度を制御することによって、内側モータ30aがエンジン10に対して発生すべきトルクを制御している。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、外側モータ30bが発生すべきトルクに対する内側モータ30aが発生すべきトルクの差分を、車両の走行要求トルクとなるように維持する制御を行うため、外側モータ30bが内側モータ30aに対して制動トルクを発生させないようにしつつ、エンジン10を始動させることができる。このとき、外側モータ30bも、内側モータ30aから制動トルクの反力を受けないため、エンジン始動時に制動トルクを受けない。
 このように、この発明の実施の形態に係る車両制御装置101は、エンジン10と、回転可能な第一ロータ31、第一ロータ31に対して回転半径方向外側で相対回転可能に設けられる第二ロータ32、及び第二ロータ32の回転半径方向外側で固定配設されるステータ33を含む回転電機30と、回転電機30に対する電力の需給を制御する制御部であるコントロールユニット80、第一インバータ21及び第二インバータ22とを備える。第一ロータ31及び第二ロータ32のうちの一方が、エンジン10に機械的に連結されると共に、第一ロータ31及び第二ロータ32のうちの他方が、出力軸50、ピニオンギヤ61、ドリブンギヤ62及び駆動軸72に機械的に連結されている。回転電機30は、第一ロータ31、第二ロータ32及びステータ33のうちの隣り合う2つによって構成されると共に、電力が供給されることによってエンジン10に連結された第一ロータ31を回転駆動可能な内側モータ30aと、第一ロータ31、第二ロータ32及びステータ33のうちの別の隣り合う2つによって構成されると共に、電力が供給されることによって出力軸50に連結された第二ロータ32を回転駆動可能な外側モータ30bとを含む。コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに電力を供給して、内側モータ30aを動作させることによって、エンジン10を始動させる。そして、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10を始動させる際、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bそれぞれでの回転数に対応した発生可能なトルクの少なくとも一方が、エンジン10を始動するために内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bに要するトルクに対して不足する場合、内側モータ30aによるエンジン10を始動させるための始動トルクを低くするように内側モータ30aの動作を制御する。
 このとき、コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10を始動させる場合、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bそれぞれの回転数に対応した発生可能なトルクのいずれかが、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bについてエンジン10を始動するのに要するトルクに対して不足する場合、内側モータ30aによるエンジン10の始動トルクを低くするように内側モータ30aつまりエンジン10を動作させる。なお、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bでは、回転数が高くなると発生可能なトルクが低くなるため、発生可能なトルクが不足する場合、回転数が高過ぎることになる。このため、始動トルクを低くするようにエンジン10を動作させることで、内側モータ30aに要求されるトルク、及び、内側モータ30aのトルクの反力を受ける外側モータ30bに要求されるトルクが低減される。よって、高回転数域でも、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bの能力つまり定格出力を増加させることなく、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bによって、エンジン10を始動することができる。従って、車両制御装置101は、エンジン10を始動させるのに要する回転電機30の出力を低減することができる。
 また、車両制御装置101において、コントロールユニット80は、始動トルクが低くなるように内側モータ30aを動作させる場合、第一ロータ31の角加速度を低くして、エンジン10に連結された第一ロータ31を動作させる。エンジン10の始動トルクは、フリクション等の回転数に依存する要素と、慣性等の角加速度に依存する要素とによって構成されている。このため、第一ロータ31の角加速度を低くしてエンジン10の角加速度を低くすることによって、エンジン10の始動トルクを低減することができる。
 また、車両制御装置101において、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bが互いの動作に制動をかけないようにして、始動トルクが低くなるように内側モータ30aを動作させる。このとき、コントロールユニット80は、内側モータ30aに対してエンジン10の始動トルクを発生することができるように制御する際、外側モータ30bに対してトルク(エンジン10の始動トルク+車両走行のためのトルク)を発生することができるように制御する。これにより、第二ロータ32を介して内側モータ30aの発生トルクの反作用を受ける外側モータ30bは、内側モータ30aの動作を妨げない。同時に、内側モータ30aも、外側モータ30bの動作を妨げない。
 また、実施の形態の車両制御装置101において、コントロールユニット80は、外側モータ30bが発生すべきトルクに対する内側モータ30aが発生すべきトルクの差分を走行要求トルクに維持するように、エンジン10を始動させる際の内側モータ30aの第一ロータ31の角加速度を制御していたが、これに限定されるものでない。コントロールユニット80は、エンジン10を始動させる際、内側モータ30aのみの回転数に基づいた内側モータ30aの発生可能なトルクでエンジン10を始動できるように、第一ロータ31の角加速度を制御してエンジン始動トルクを調節してもよい。これによっても、車両制御装置101は、エンジン10を始動させるのに要する回転電機30(内側モータ30a)の出力を低減することができる。
 また、実施の形態の車両制御装置101において、回転電機30では、第二ロータ32の第二コア32aの内周面近傍及び外周面近傍のそれぞれに埋め込まれていた二列の第一永久磁石32b及び第二永久磁石32cを一体化し、第二コア32a内の周方向に一列に埋め込むようにしてもよい。
 また、実施の形態の車両制御装置101において、回転電機30は、上記実施の形態(図1)において示されたような、径方向内側から第一巻線31b、第一永久磁石32b、第二永久磁石32c、第二巻線33bの順に設けられる構造に限定されるものではなく、例えば図11の(a)~(c)に示されるような構造とすることもできる。図11(a)では、径方向内側から第一永久磁石231b、第一巻線232b、第二永久磁石232c、第二巻線33bの順に設けられている。図11(b)では、径方向内側から第一永久磁石231b、第一巻線332b、第二巻線332c、第二永久磁石333bの順に設けられている。図11(c)では、径方向内側から第一巻線31b、第一永久磁石432b、第二巻線432c、第二永久磁石333bの順に設けられている。
 また、実施の形態の車両制御装置101において、コントロールユニット80は、図2に示す回転電機30の内側モータ30a及び外側モータ30bにおけるモータ回転数とモータ発生トルクとの特性に基づいた制御を行っていた。しかしながら、外側モータ30bが稼動している場合、ステータ33の第二巻線33bは回転磁界を発生している。このため、エンジン10を始動するために第一ロータ31の第一巻線31bに三相交流電力を印加する場合、第一巻線31bから発生する回転磁界の磁束とステータ33の第二巻線33bから発生する回転磁界の磁束とが干渉する磁束干渉が生じる。この磁束干渉は、第二ロータ32を回転駆動する第二巻線33bからの回転磁界の強度、及び第一ロータ31を回転駆動する第一巻線31bからの回転磁界の強度を変動させて上昇又は低下させることがある。よって、外側モータ30b及び内側モータ30aの稼動を所望の回転数及びトルクに制御できない場合が生じる。従って、コントロールユニット80は、外側モータ30bの回転数及び印加電力と内側モータ30aの回転数及び印加予定電力とから算出する磁束干渉による影響を、図2のモータ回転数とモータ発生トルクとの関係に加味して上述のエンジン10の始動時の制御を行ってもよい。なお、図2では、算出した磁束干渉の状態に応じて、同一のモータ回転数に対するモータ発生トルクが上昇又は低下することになる。
 また、実施の形態の車両制御装置101において、回転電機30では、第一ロータ31に入力軸40が連結され、第二ロータ32に出力軸50が連結されていたが、第一ロータ31に出力軸50が連結され、第二ロータ32に入力軸40が連結されてもよい。
 また、実施の形態及び変形例の車両制御装置101では、界磁として第一永久磁石32b,231b,432b及び第二永久磁石32c,232c,333bを使用していたが、これに限定されるものでなく、電磁石であってもよい。
 また、第一インバータ21及び第二インバータ22は、それぞれ別個のコントロールユニットによって制御されてもよい。
 実施の形態及び変形例の車両制御装置101は、車両への搭載に限定されるものでなく、建設機械、ディーゼル機関車等のガソリンエンジン及びディーゼルエンジンなどの内燃機関と回転電機とを動力とする機械に搭載してもよい。

Claims (4)

  1.  車両制御装置において、
     内燃機関と、
     回転可能な第一回転子、前記第一回転子に対して回転半径方向外側で相対回転可能に設けられる第二回転子、及び前記第二回転子の回転半径方向外側で固定配設される固定子を含む回転電機と、
     前記回転電機に対する電力の需給を制御する制御部と
    を備え、
     前記第一回転子及び前記第二回転子のうちの一方が、前記内燃機関に機械的に連結されると共に、前記第一回転子及び前記第二回転子のうちの他方が、車両駆動機構に機械的に連結され、
     前記回転電機は、前記第一回転子、前記第二回転子及び前記固定子のうちの隣り合う2つによって構成されると共に、電力が供給されることによって前記内燃機関に連結された回転子を回転駆動可能な第一回転電機部と、前記第一回転子、前記第二回転子及び前記固定子のうちの別の隣り合う2つによって構成されると共に、電力が供給されることによって前記車両駆動機構に連結された回転子を回転駆動可能な第二回転電機部とを含み、
     前記制御部は、
     前記第一回転電機部に電力を供給して、前記第一回転電機部を動作させることによって、前記内燃機関を始動させ、
     前記制御部は、
     前記内燃機関を始動させる際、前記第一回転電機部及び前記第二回転電機部それぞれでの回転数に対応した発生可能なトルクの少なくとも一方が、前記内燃機関を始動するために前記第一回転電機部及び前記第二回転電機部に要するトルクに対して不足する場合、前記第一回転電機部による前記内燃機関を始動させるための始動トルクを低くするように前記第一回転電機部の動作を制御する車両制御装置。
  2.  前記制御部は、前記始動トルクが低くなるように前記第一回転電機部を動作させる場合、前記内燃機関に連結された回転子の角加速度を低くして、前記内燃機関に連結された回転子を動作させる請求項1に記載の車両制御装置。
  3.  前記制御部は、前記第一回転電機部及び前記第二回転電機部が互いの動作に制動をかけないようにして、前記始動トルクが低くなるように前記第一回転電機部を動作させる請求項1または2に記載の車両制御装置。
  4.  前記第一回転電機部における前記内燃機関を始動するのに要するトルクとは、前記始動トルクであり、
     前記第二回転電機部における前記内燃機関を始動するのに要するトルクとは、前記始動トルクに車両を走行させるための車両走行要求トルクを加えたトルクである請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の車両制御装置。
