- lithium secondary batteries Due to the development of technology and increasing demand for mobile devices, the demand for secondary batteries is also rapidly increasing. Among them, lithium secondary batteries with high energy density, high operating voltage, and excellent storage and life characteristics are used for various mobile devices as well as various electronic products. It is widely used as an energy source.
- Secondary batteries are classified into roughly cylindrical cells, square cells, and pouch cells according to external and internal structural features. Among them, rectangular batteries and pouch cells having a small width to length are particularly noticeable. I am getting it.
- the secondary battery has attracted attention as an energy source of electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, etc. which are proposed as a solution for air pollution of conventional gasoline and diesel vehicles using fossil fuel. Therefore, the type of applications using the secondary battery is very diversified due to the advantages of the secondary battery, and it is expected that the secondary battery will be applied to many fields and products in the future.
- small mobile devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, digital cameras, notebook computers, and the like are used with one or two or four small and light battery cells per device according to the miniaturization tendency of the products.
- medium and large devices such as electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles, due to the need for high output capacity, a battery module (or sometimes referred to as a "medium and large battery pack") that electrically connects a plurality of battery cells is used. Since the size and weight of R are directly related to the accommodation space and output of the medium and large devices, manufacturers are trying to manufacture battery modules that are as small and lightweight as possible.
- the secondary battery may generate gas while the battery is operated in an abnormal state due to overcharge, overdischarge, overheat, external shock, and the like.
- an overheated cell generates gas
- the pressurized gas in the case further accelerates the decomposition reaction of the cell element, causing continuous overheating and gas generation, and swelling may occur. This phenomenon occurs even when the secondary battery gradually deteriorates due to prolonged use.
- the battery module is in direct contact with the outer surface of the battery pack, there is a problem that the outer surface of the battery pack is deformed together by swelling.
- the conventional battery module minimizes swelling by adding a separate structure to the outermost part, but this method increases the overall volume of the battery module assembly and causes a complicated production process. It is becoming.
- the present invention aims to solve the problems of the prior art and the technical problems that have been requested from the past.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a base plate for the battery module assembly that can suppress the increase in volume and increase the efficiency of the production process while preventing the deformation of the battery module assembly by swelling by configuring a specific structure including the reinforcing beads To provide.

- the rectangular secondary battery may have a structure in which an electrode assembly is sealed in a rectangular metal case
- the pouch type secondary battery may specifically have a structure in which the electrode assembly is sealed in a laminate sheet including a resin layer and a metal layer.
- the secondary battery may preferably be a lithium secondary battery having high energy density, discharge voltage, and output stability. Other components of such a lithium secondary battery will be briefly described below.
- a lithium secondary battery is composed of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, a lithium salt-containing nonaqueous electrolyte, and the like.
- the positive electrode is produced by, for example, applying a mixture of a positive electrode active material, a conductive material, and a binder onto a positive electrode current collector, followed by drying, and further, a filler may be further added as necessary.
- the negative electrode is also manufactured by coating and drying a mixture of a negative electrode active material and a binder on a negative electrode current collector, and if necessary, the components as described above may be further included.
- the separator is interposed between the cathode and the anode, and an insulating thin film having high ion permeability and mechanical strength is used.
- the lithium salt-containing non-aqueous electrolyte solution consists of a nonaqueous electrolyte solution and a lithium salt, and a liquid nonaqueous electrolyte solution, a solid electrolyte, an inorganic solid electrolyte, and the like are used as the nonaqueous electrolyte solution.
- the current collector the electrode active material, the conductive material, the binder, the filler, the separator, the electrolyte, the lithium salt, and the like are known in the art, a detailed description thereof will be omitted herein.
- Such lithium secondary batteries may be prepared by conventional methods known in the art. That is, it may be prepared by inserting a porous separator between the anode and the cathode and injecting the electrolyte therein.
- the positive electrode may be manufactured by, for example, applying a slurry containing the lithium transition metal oxide active material, the conductive material, and the binder described above onto a current collector and then drying.

- the battery cells are preferably fixed to a cartridge frame, and the battery module may have a stacked structure of cartridge frames.
- This cartridge frame is a structure having a predetermined rigidity, which protects the battery cells from external shocks and ensures stable mounting of the battery cells.
- the battery cells are arranged so that the electrode leads face one side, thereby facilitating electrical parallel connection by the bus bar.
- the battery cell electrode leads making an electrical parallel connection by the bus bar are connected to an electrode terminal, and the electrode terminal may be preferably formed on the same surface as one side of the electrode leads. Accordingly, the battery module, in which the battery cells are fixed by the cartridge frame and assembled by stacking the cartridge frame, facilitates a detection member for voltage measurement as well as electrical connection between the battery modules by electrode terminals formed on one side thereof. - the fastening of the battery module and the assembly cover achieved through the fasteners may be fastening by bolts or rivets, but is not limited thereto.
- the protruding height of the reinforcing beads preferably, may be a size of 10 to 400% of the thickness of the base plate. If the height is too small, it is difficult to exert the effect of the formation of the reinforcing beads, if it is too large it is not preferable because the volume increases as a whole. More preferred protrusion height may be 30 to 300% of the thickness of the base plate.

- the fastening method of the upper cover plate 800 and the bracket 400 uses the elastic deformation of the upper cover plate 800, so that the upper cover plate 800 is easily fixed to the bracket 400 by its own elasticity. Since it is possible to fasten, through this fastening assembly process can be made easier.
- the base plate for the battery module assembly comprises a structure including a reinforcing bead, while preventing the deformation of the battery module assembly by swelling, while suppressing the volume increase and increasing the efficiency of the production process Can be.
- the battery module assembly including the base plate can be assembled in a compact structure, it is possible to stably fix the inner receiving members, and at the same time, to achieve the effect of increasing the safety and efficiency of the production process.
