Definitions
- the present invention relates to a variable capacitance circuit using a plurality of variable capacitance capacitors, a variable capacitance device, a resonance circuit, an amplification circuit, and an electronic device including these circuits.
- non-contact communication technology that sends and receives signals by electromagnetic induction has been established, and its use as traffic tickets and electronic money is expanding.
- a non-contact communication function tends to be installed in a mobile phone, and is expected to develop further in the future.
- IC tags that can be read and written at a distance of several meters are also commercialized in logistics.
- non-contact communication technology not only enables non-contact communication but also allows power transmission at the same time, so that it can be mounted on an IC card that does not have a power source such as a battery.
- the reader / writer (charging device) and the non-contact data carrier (or power receiving device) It realizes the maximum communication distance through stable communication and power transmission.
- the L and C constants of the loop antenna and the resonance capacitor have some fluctuation factors and are not necessarily assumed values.
- a loop antenna is made of a copper foil pattern for cost reduction, and the value of L changes due to a pattern width shift or the like.
- the resonant capacitor is also configured to use the copper foil of the antenna substrate as an electrode and the resin of the substrate as a dielectric, and the capacitance value varies depending on the width, length, and interval of the copper foil. To do.
- the upper and lower sides of the antenna substrate are finally laminated with a protective film, so that the capacitance of the capacitor further changes due to the influence of the protective film. Therefore, adjustment man-hours such as adjusting the electrode area by adjusting the electrode area by cutting the copper foil pattern and adjusting the capacitance value of the resonance capacitor in anticipation of the frequency shift after lamination are required.
- an antenna module having a magnetic flux output from a reader / writer and a resonance circuit that efficiently converts the magnetic flux change into a voltage is resonant to obtain communication stability.
- a method for adjusting the resonance frequency by adjusting the capacitance of the capacitor for use has been proposed.
- Contactless data carriers including IC cards and power receiving devices for contactless charging are often mounted on devices where portability is important as described above, and resonance capacitors and loop antennas are small and thin. Is strongly demanded.
- the reader / writer and the charging device are being modularized, and the demand for miniaturization and thinning is expected to become more severe.
- a ferroelectric thin film capacitor using a ferroelectric thin film such as barium titanate has a high dielectric constant per unit area and is suitable for downsizing and thinning. Therefore, it is being used for these applications.
- the ferroelectric thin film capacitor has a problem that the initial variation of the capacitance value is large and the temperature dependency of the capacitance value is also large, and it is possible to make more applications by performing these corrections on the device side. It is expected to expand.
- ferroelectric thin film capacitor that can be reduced in size and thickness is used in an antenna resonance circuit in response to the trend toward downsizing and high functionality of electronic devices, the initial variation in capacitance value. It is necessary to suppress temperature fluctuation.
- ferroelectric thin film capacitors are known to have a strong bias dependency on the capacitance value, and the capacitance value varies greatly depending on the bias voltage applied between the electrodes.
- Application to a circuit is disclosed in Patent Document 1 and the like. However, it is not disclosed how to control the bias voltage of the ferroelectric thin film capacitor and how to adjust which parameter can adjust the characteristic of the resonance circuit of the antenna.
- the ferroelectric thin film capacitor has a large initial variation in the capacitance value, and further, resonance is caused by a variation in conditions such as a capacitance shift during manufacture of the antenna circuit, a temperature during use, and a communication distance. There is a problem that the subsequent adjustment of the frequency is not sufficient to optimize the circuit characteristics.
- the present invention uses a variable capacitor whose capacitance changes by applying a DC voltage between the terminals, controls the capacitance value by the DC voltage applied to the variable capacitor, and increases the transmission efficiency of the antenna. It is an object of the present invention to provide a variable capacitance circuit, a resonance circuit, an amplifier circuit, and an electronic device using these that can be optimized.

- a variable DC voltage (Vc) that transitions between the DC terminal 7a and the DC terminal 7c is input to the DC terminal 7b.
- a resonant circuit 20 includes a variable variable element (CS) 2 and a variable variable element (CP) 4 in series.
- a capacitance circuit 1 and a coil 12 connected in series to the series variable capacitance element 2 and connected in parallel to the parallel variable capacitance element 4 are provided.
- a filter circuit 14 may be connected to the AC terminal (AC1) 8a of the variable capacitance circuit 1 via a DC cut capacitor (C1) 9a.
- the filter circuit 14 is preferably an LC filter, and the LC filter is connected in series with the filter capacitor (Cf) connected in parallel to the variable capacitance circuit 1 and the variable capacitance circuit 1, and the other end is a transmission signal terminal. (Tx) 16 is connected.
- the resonance circuit 20 can change the capacitance value by applying a DC voltage to each of the series variable capacitance element 2 and the parallel variable capacitance element 4 by the three DC terminals 7a, 7b, and 7c included in the variable capacitance circuit 1. .
- a resonant circuit of a transmission / reception antenna used for non-contact communication or non-contact charging includes a series capacitor CS connected in series to an antenna coil Lant, and an antenna coil Lant. And a parallel capacitor CP connected in parallel.
- an LC filter is connected to the input side of the resonance circuit, and the transmission signal Tx is input to the resonance circuit via the LC filter.
- the resonance circuit of the non-contact communication antenna is not limited to the unbalanced resonance circuit as described above, and may have a balanced circuit configuration as shown in FIG. 3B.
- an antenna coil Lant is connected between a connection node between the series capacitor CS1 and the parallel capacitor CP1 and a connection node between the series capacitor CS2 and the parallel capacitor CP2.
- an LC filter is connected to the input side of the resonance circuit, and transmission / reception signals Tx1 and Tx2 are input via the LC filter. Since the operation and function are the same between the unbalanced type and the balanced type, an unbalanced type resonance circuit will be described below.
- the resonance frequency is determined by the capacitance value of the series capacitor CS, the capacitance value of the parallel capacitor CP, and the inductance value of the antenna coil Lant
- the resonance frequency is changed by changing these values. Can be adjusted.
- the impedance of the resonance circuit is determined by the capacitance value of the series capacitor CS, the capacitance value of the parallel capacitor CP, and the inductance value of the antenna coil Lant, if these values are changed, the impedance changes with the change of the resonance frequency. Also changes.
- the impedance is determined from a desired antenna current and is in the range of 30 to 80 ⁇ . In many cases.

- the resonance frequency of the resonance circuit is kept constant. Impedance can be increased.
- the capacitance value of the series capacitor CS and increasing the capacitance value of the parallel capacitor CP by the amount of decrease of the capacitance value of the series capacitor CS it is possible to reduce the impedance while keeping the resonance frequency constant.
- the resonance frequency is reduced. Only the impedance of the resonant circuit can be adjusted while keeping it constant. By adjusting the impedance of the resonance circuit, it is possible to set the best impedance matching condition, and it is possible to stabilize communication and increase the distance.
- a desired capacitance value can be obtained according to the DC bias applied to the ferroelectric thin film.
- the change amount of the capacitance value of the series capacitor CS and the change amount of the capacitance value of the parallel capacitor CP are the same, and the direction of the change Must be reversed. Therefore, the direction of change in the DC voltage applied to the series capacitor CS and the parallel capacitor CP needs to be opposite to each other.
- Vc 0 [V]
- +3 [V]) may be applied.

他の非接触通信装置は、たとえば携帯電話に搭載されたNFC(Near Field Communication)等の非接触通信モジュールである。
