上述した第1及び第2実施形態では、熱拡散部材44として円形平板状の底面441と当該底面から直立する筒状の側面442とを有するカップ状に形成された部材を用いたが、熱拡散部材44は、発熱体であるパワーモジュール31とインバータ筐体42との間に設けられて、パワーモジュール31で生じた熱を拡散させる機能を備えればよいので円周方向に連続していなくてもよい。図5~図7は本発明の第3実施形態に係るインバータ付きモータ1を示す図であり、第1及び第2実施形態と同じ構成の部材等には同じ符号を付し、その説明をここに援用する。
(1)本例のインバータ付きモータ1によれば、熱伝導率の高い熱拡散部材44がインバータ筐体42のブラケット部422及び筒状本体部421とパワーモジュール31との間に設けられているので、パワーモジュール31で発生した熱は熱拡散部材44にて拡散し、放熱面積が拡大した状態で放熱機能を有するインバータ筐体に伝達される。その結果、放熱性能が向上するので空冷式のインバータ付きモータにも適用することができる。
