Description
SUPPORT POSTS MADE OF GALVANISED SHEET METAL FOR WIRE TRELLIS TRAINING AND NETTING SYSTEMS IN ORCHARDS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to support posts made of galvanised sheet metal developed for installing netting and similar systems for protecting fruit, vegetable gardens and vineyards against problems such as hail, scalding, all external living or non-living harmful factors and installing wire trellis training systems for training plants in desired forms throughout growth, development and total lifetime of fruit, vegetable gardens and vineyards, as well as for using as carrier for plants, fruits and protective nets.
PRIOR ART
Systems involving concrete, wooden and galvanised posts that are used on ground surface belong to the prior art. In frequently used concrete systems, the fact that total costs increase due to extra costs such as labour and transportation caused by weight complicates accessibility by users. Since concrete systems cannot be applied for heights over 4.5 m, they do not allow obtaining sufficient yield from certain fruit types. Moreover, the lifetime of concrete systems is limited to 15 years. Removal of concrete systems from land at the end of their lifetime is also a high cost procedure which leads to environmental pollution.
Wooden systems are impregnated in order to make them durable. This process not only increases costs considerably, but also consumes natural resources. Since wooden, concrete and other systems cannot be applied for heights over 4.5 m, they do not allow obtaining sufficient yield from certain fruit types.
While systems made of galvanised pipes or profiles are long-life and recyclable, they require more materials compared to the present invention which in turn increases the cost, since they do not provide the assembly features and strength mentioned in the said invention. These applications also are not suitable for any other application but ground level ones where high wire trellis training and netting systems are required. When tried, systems face the risk of collapse which leads to enormous losses.
Since systems made of galvanised pipes or profiles also cannot be applied for heights over 4.5 m, they do not allow obtaining sufficient yield from certain fruit types. l
For instance, the system disclosed in the utility model with the number TR 2008 02697 Y discloses using posts made of galvanised profiles; however, posts are installed on the ground surface by means of footings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to support posts made of galvanised sheet metal developed for installing netting and similar systems for protecting fruit, vegetable gardens and vineyards against problems such as hail, scalding, all external living or non-living harmful factors and installing wire trellis training systems for training plants in desired forms throughout growth, development and total lifetime of fruit, vegetable gardens and vineyards, as well as for using as a carrier. These support posts;
• Eliminate high transportation costs,
• Provide rigid structures in large systems,
• Do not consume natural resources, are recyclable,
• Present easy application,
• Reduce labour costs, reduce installation costs,
• Allow local revisions in case of a problem,
• Present a substantial advantage with regard to transportation,
• May be applied for heights up to 10 m.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The posts according to the invention are one-piece or two-piece posts made of galvanised metal sheets developed for installing netting and similar systems for protecting fruit, vegetable gardens and vineyards against problems such as hail, scalding, all external living or non-living harmful factors.
Since it consists of two pieces, it is applicable in high systems up to a height of 10 m above the ground owing to its piece that is driven into the ground.
Posts applied in each area in high and large (such as 30-40-50 and 60 decares) systems are more durable against natural disasters compared to other systems since their lower parts are driven into the ground (for up to 120 cm depending on terrain conditions) by means of suitable equipment and the upper parts are connected to each other with galvanised wires.
Materials may be disassembled easily and recycled even when their commercial lifespan expires.
Labour costs are very low and ease of application is high compared to other systems. This is a significant positive aspect since almost all enterprises in question are located in rural areas.
In this invention, the support posts for training and netting system are made of galvanised metal sheet specially formed so that they can be fastened to each other. Part no. (1), as may be seen in Figure 1, is driven into ground for up to 120 cm by means of hydraulic systems. Part no. (2), on the other hand, is attached to part no. (1) by means of pre-bored mounting holes; posts are applied to the terrain by repeating this process with predetermined interval throughout the terrain. By the end of the process, a rigid structure is obtained as all posts are connected together via pre-bored holes. According to Figure 2, galvanised wires are fixed with the help of the posts of the outermost line to the fastening rings (anchoring irons) that are fitted to the ground by concrete or similar materials.
The features of the galvanised post according to the invention are listed as follows:
• It consists of at least one piece;
• The lower part has a female form and the upper part has a male form, so that they engage in one another;
• The lower part is driven/buried into ground;
• The upper part is attached to the lower part via pre-bored holes;
• It is made of galvanised metal sheet;
• The training and netting system is stabilised with carrying wires by means of irons fixed to anchoring blocks reinforced with concrete or other materials and buried into holes in the ground.
