Definitions
- composite sandwich panels have had difficulties in integration in the construction sector, mainly due to the high production costs, the diversity of rupture modes and the high deformability to certain demands (bending, compression, temperature, etc.). .
- the present utility model relates to a lightweight sandwich panel, which stands out for being an economical solution capable of concentrating various physical properties that improve the strength, quality and durability of buildings.
- the panel object of the present utility model presents itself as a material with high stiffness / self-weight and strength / self-weight ratios. Its ease of assembly, due to its low self-weight and the fact that it is prefabricated, saves time and costs on site.
- This panel is further characterized by its good thermal insulation, sound insulation, fire resistance, corrosion resistance, water / water vapor resistance and dimensional stability properties.
- the panel consists of three layers:
- - Layer (1) consists of a mineral matrix composite material reinforced with mineral or organic fibers, with thicknesses usually between 3 and 16 mm and densities between 0,7 and 1,8 g / cm 3 .
- the composite material constituting this layer is fiber cement.
- it may be calcium silicate or magnesium oxide.
- Layer (2) made of light hydraulic concrete composite material, with thicknesses normally between 30 and 200 mm and densities between 0,15 and 1,50 g / cm 3 .
- Lightweight hydraulic concrete can be obtained by incorporating light aggregates into its composition or by the use of air-introducing foam substances.
- the lightweight aggregate used is preferably expanded, virgin or recycled polystyrene (EPS).
- EPS polystyrene
- the following lightweight aggregates may be used: extruded polystyrene (XPS), expanded clay, cork granules, slag from coal combustion, expanded vermiculite and / or expanded perlite.
- Layer (3) consists of a mineral matrix composite material reinforced with mineral or organic fibers, with thicknesses normally between 3 and 16 mm and densities between 0,7 and 1,8 g / cm 3 .
- the composite material of this layer is fiber cement.
- it may be calcium silicate or magnesium oxide.
- the layers (1) and (3) are parallel to each other and are not necessarily equal. Changing the thickness of the layers allows this panel to be adapted to various types of use,
