본 발명은 하드코팅 필름 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
편광판은 일반적으로 폴리비닐알코올 등으로 이루어지는 필름 상의 편광자 양면에 셀룰로오스계 수지 필름이 접합된 것이 일반적으로 이용되고 있다. 통상 한쪽의 기재필름에는 운송 중의 표면 손상 방지 등의 목적으로 보호필름이 접착되고, 다른 쪽의 수지필름에는 점착체층 및 이형필름이 적층되는 다층구조로 이루어져 있다. 이러한 편광판은 액정표시장치의 주요한 구성 부품으로 이용되고 있다. 이러한 편광판을 각종 환경 하에서 사용함에 있어 높은 내구성을 발휘하기 위해서는, 편광 표면처리 중 고경도 하드코팅 제품의 요구가 증가되고 있다.
종래 고경도의 제품을 구현하기 위해서는 하드코팅층의 도막 두께가 10㎛ 이상이 되어야 연필 경도 3H 이상을 만족시킬 수 있다. 그러나, 도막 두께가 증가할수록 자외선 경화시 수축이 증가함으로써 말림(curling)이 심하여 편광판 제조시 필름 파단을 야기시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 제조 단가 측면에서도 불리한 점이 있다.

본 발명의 목적은 박막화된 하드코팅층으로도 우수한 표면경도 및 내스크래치성의 확보가 가능한 하드코팅 필름 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 휨성이 우수하여 로우 컬(Low Curl)성의 구현이 가능한 하드코팅 필름 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 또 다른 목적은 치수안전성이 우수한 하드코팅 필름 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 상기 및 기타의 목적들은 하기 설명되는 본 발명에 의하여 모두 달성될 수 있다.
본 발명의 하나의 관점은 베이스필름; 및 상기 베이스필름의 일면에 형성된 하드코팅층;을 포함하고, 상기 하드코팅층은 (메타)아크릴계 수지, 실리카 및 질소를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 관점은 베이스필름의 일면상에 코팅층을 형성하고, 암모니아 가스의 존재 하에서 상기 코팅층을 건조하여 (메타)아크릴계 수지, 실리카 및 질소를 포함하는 유-무기 하이브리드층을 형성하는 것을 포함하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 하드코팅 필름은 박막화된 하드코팅층으로도 우수한 표면경도 및 내스크래치성의 확보가 가능하고, 휨성이 우수하여 로우 컬(Low Curl)성의 구현이 가능하며, 치수안전성이 우수하다.

이하, 첨부한 도면들을 참조하여, 본 발명을 보다 상세하게 설명하고자 한다. 그러나 본 명세서에 기재된 기술은 여기서 설명되는 실시예들에 한정되지 않고 다른 형태로 구체화될 수도 있다.
하드코팅 필름
도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 하드코팅 필름의 단면도를 나타낸 것이다. 도 1을 참고하면, 하드코팅 필름(100)은 베이스필름(110) 및 하드코팅층(120)을 포함할 수 있다.
하드코팅층(120)은 유·무기혼합층으로 (메타)아크릴계 수지, 실리카 및 질소를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 질소는 하드코팅층(120) 내에 약 10 atomic % 이하로 포함될 수 있으며, 예로서, 약 0.5 atomic % 내지 약 8 atomic %로 포함될 수 있다. 상기 범위로 질소가 포함되는 경우 얇은 두께로도 우수한 표면경도 및 내스크래치성의 확보가 가능하다.
베이스필름(110)으로는 특별한 제한은 없으나, 우수한 내열성 및 낮은 열팽창율을 갖는 고내열성 플라스틱 기판이 사용될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 폴리에테르술폰, 폴리카보네이트, 폴리이미드, 폴리에테르이미드, 폴리아크릴레이트, 폴리에틸렌나프탈레이트 및 폴리에스테르 필름으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상이 될 수 있지만, 반드시 이들에 제한되는 것은 아니다.
베이스필름(110)의 두께는 약 10 ㎛ 내지 약 300 ㎛ 일 수 있으며, 하드코팅층(120)의 두께는 약 0.1 ㎛ 내지 약 5 ㎛ 일 수 있다.
하드코팅 필름(100)은 연필 경도가 약 3H 이상일 수 있으며, 예로서, 약 3H 내지 약 8H 일 수 있다. 연필경도는 미쯔비시 평가용 연필(UNI)로 연필경도측정기(Shinto Scientific, Heidon)를 이용하여 500 kg/㎠ 하중, 0.5 mm/sec의 속도로 그은 후, 측정할 수 있다.
하드코팅 필름(100)은 바닥으로부터 휘어진 최대 높이가 약 5 mm 이하일 수 있다. 도 2를 참조하여 구체적으로 설명한다. 도 2는 하드코팅 필름의 휨 측정의 개념도이다. 도 2에 의하면, 베이스필름(110)의 일면에 하드코팅층(120)이 형성된 하드코팅 필름(100)이 바닥(200)으로부터 휘어진 최대 높이(C)를 휨 값으로 측정한다. 예로서, 가로길이, 세로길이, 두께가 각각 100 mm, 100 mm, 1 ㎛인 하드코팅 필름(100)을 85℃, 상대습도 85%, 72시간 방치한 후 측정한 하드코팅 필름(100)의 바닥으로부터 휘어진 최대 높이(C)가 약 0.5 mm 내지 약 5 mm 일 수 있다.
하드코팅 필름(100)은 하드코팅층(120) 상부에 기능성 층을 더 포함함으로써, 하드코팅 필름에 추가적인 기능을 제공할 수 있다. 기능성 층은 반사 방지 층, 대전 방지 층, 내지문성 층 중 하나 이상을 포함할 수 있다.
본 실시예에서 하드코팅층을 형성하는 코팅액은 (메타)아크릴계 공중합체 수지(A); 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔(B); 및 용매(C);를 포함할 수 있고, 코팅액을 구성하는 각 성분을 설명하면 다음과 같다.
상기 (메타)아크릴계 공중합체 수지(A)는 폴리실록산 또는 폴리실라잔(B)과 상용성을 확보하기 위하여 도입된 것으로, 탄소수 1-20의 알킬기를 갖는 (메타)아크릴계 단량체의 공중합체일 수 있다. 일 실시예에서, 상기 (메타)아크릴계 단량체로는 메틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 에틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 프로필 (메타)아크릴레이트, n-부틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, t-부틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, iso-부틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 펜틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 헥실 (메타)아크릴레이트, 2-에틸헥실(메타)아크릴레이트, 헵틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 옥틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, iso-옥틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 노닐 (메타)아크릴레이트, 데실 (메타)아크릴레이트 및 도데실 (메타)아크릴레이트로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상을 의미할 수 있지만, 이들에 제한되는 것은 아니다. 구체적으로는, 메틸(메타)아크릴레이트가 될 수 있다.
상기 (메타)아크릴계 공중합체 수지는 코팅액의 총 함량에 대하여 약 5 중량% 내지 약 25 중량%로 포함될 수 있다. 상기 범위에서 고경도 유지, 휨 및 크랙 특성 우수 한 이점을 가진다.
상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔은 구조 내에 규소-질소(Si-N), 규소-수소(Si-H), 질소-수소(N-H) 결합 단위 외에 규소-산소-규소(Si-O-Si) 결합 단위를 포함한다. 이러한 규소-산소-규소(Si-O-Si) 결합 단위는 경화시 응력을 완화시켜 수축을 줄일 수 있다.
상기 수소화 폴리실라잔은 구조 내의 기본 골격이 규소-질소(Si-N) 결합 단위 외에 규소-수소(Si-H), 질소-수소(N-H) 결합 단위를 포함한다.
상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔이나 수소화 폴리실라잔 모두 베이킹 과정이나 경화과정을 거친 후에는 (Si-N) 결합이 (Si-O) 결합으로 치환될 수 있다.
실시예에서 상기 수소화폴리실록사잔은 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 단위, 및 하기 화학식 2로 표시되는 말단부를 가진다:

상기 화학식 1에서, R1 내지 R3은 각각 독립적으로 수소, 치환 또는 비치환된 C1 내지 C30의 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 사이클로 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 아릴알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 헤테로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 헤테로사이클알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 알케닐기, 치환 또는 비치환된 알콕시기, 치환 또는 비치환된 카르보닐기, 히드록시기 또는 이들의 조합일 수 있다.
본 발명에서 “치환된”의 의미는 수소, 할로겐원자, 하이드록시기, 니트로기, 시아노기, 아미노기, 아지도기, 아미디노기, 히드라지노기, 카르보닐기, 카르바밀기, 티올기, 에스테르기, 카르복실기 또는 그의 염, 술폰산기 또는 그의 염, 포스페이트기 또는 그의 염, 탄소수 1-20의 알킬기, 탄소수 2-20의 알케닐기, 탄소수 2-20의 알키닐기, 탄소수 1-20의 알콕시기, 탄소수 6-30의 아릴기, 탄소수 6-30의 아릴옥시기, 탄소수 3-30의 사이클로알킬기, 탄소수 3-30의 사이클로알케닐기, 탄소수 3-30의 사이클로알키닐기 또는 이들의 조합을 의미한다.
상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔은 산소함유량이 약 0.2% 내지 약 3 중량% 일 수 있다. 상기 범위로 함유되는 경우 구조 중의 규소-산소-규소(Si-O-Si) 결합에 의한 응력 완화가 충분하여 열처리시 수축을 방지할 수 있으며 이에 따라 형성된 가스베리어층에 크랙이 발생하는 것을 방지 할 수 있다. 예로서, 상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔의 산소함유량은 약 0.4 중량% 내지 약 2.5 중량%, 구체적으로는 약 0.5 중량% 내지 약 2 중량% 이다.
또한, 상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔은 말단부가 수소로 캡핑되어 있는 구조로, 상기 화학식 3으로 표시되는 말단기가 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔 구조 중의 Si-H 결합의 총 함량에 대하여 약 15 중량% 내지 약 35 중량%로 포함될 수 있다. 상기 범위로 포함되는 경우 경화시 산화반응이 충분히 일어나면서도 경화시 SiH3 부분이 SiH4로 되어 비산되는 것을 방지하여 수축을 방지하고 이로부터 형성된 가스 배리어층은 크랙이 발생되는 것을 방지 할 수 있다. 구체적으로는 상기 화학식 3의 말단기가 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔 구조 중의 Si-H 결합의 총 함량에 대하여 약 20 중량% 내지 약 30 중량%로 포함될 수 있다.
본 발명의 상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔은 중량평균분자량(Mw)이 약 1000 g/mol 내지 약 5000 g/mol 일 수 있다. 상기 범위인 경우, 열처리시 증발하는 성분을 줄이면서도 박막 코팅으로 치밀한 유무기 혼합층을 형성 할 수 있다. 구체적으로는 상기 중량평균분자량(Mw)이 약 1500 g/mol 내지 약 3500 g/mol 일 수 있다.
상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔, 수소화 폴리실라잔 또는 이들 혼합물은 코팅액의 총 함량에 대하여 약 1 중량% 내지 약 30 중량%로 포함될 수 있다. 상기 범위로 포함되는 경우 적절한 점도를 유지할 수 있으며 기포 및 간극(Void) 없이 평탄하고 고르게 형성 될 수 있다.
상기 용매(C)는 수소화 폴리실록사잔 또는 수소화 폴리실라잔과 반응성이 없으면서 상기 수소화 폴리실록사잔을 용해할 수 있는 용매라면 어느 것이든 사용될 수 있다. 다만, OH 를 함유할 경우 실록산계 화합물과 반응성이 있으므로 -OH 기를 함유하지 않는 용매를 사용할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 지방족 탄화 수소, 지환식 탄화수소, 방향족 탄화수소 등의 탄화 수소 용매, 할로겐화 탄화 수소 용매, 지방족 에테르, 지환식 에테르 등의 에테르 류를 사용 할 수 있다. 구체적으로 펜탄, 헥산, 시클로 헥산, 톨루엔, 자일렌, 솔벳소, 타벤 등의 탄화 수소, 염화 메틸렌, 트리 코롤로 에탄 등의 할로겐 탄화 수소, 디부틸 에테르, 디옥산, 테트라 하이브리드로 퓨란등의 에테르류 등이 있다. 실록산계 화합물의 용해도나 용제의 증발속도등 적절하게 선택하고 복수의 용제를 혼합해도 좋다. 상기 용매는 코팅액의 총량 대비 약 50 중량% 내지 약 90 중량%로 포함될 수 있다.
본 발명의 코팅액은 열산 발생제(thermal acid generator, TAG)를 더 포함할 수 있다. 상기 열산 발생제는 상기 수소화폴리실록사잔의 현상성 및 미경화에 의한 오염성을 개선하기 위한 첨가제로 상기 수소화폴리실록사잔이 비교적 낮은 온도에서 현상될 수 있도록 한다. 상기 열산 발생제는 열에 의해 산(H+)으로 발생할 수 있는 화합물이면 특히 한정되지 않으나, 약 90℃ 이상에서 활성화 되어 충분한 산을 발생하여 휘발성이 낮은 것을 선택 할 수 있다. 이러한 열산 발생제는 예컨대 니트로벤질 토실레이트, 니트로벤질 벤젠술폰네이트, 페놀 술폰네이트 및 이들의 조합에서 선택될 수 있다. 상기 열산 발생제는 코팅액의 총 함량에 대하여 약 25 중량% 이하, 예를 들면 약 0.01 중량% 내지 약 20 중량%로 포함될 수 있다. 상기 범위로 포함되는 경우 비교적 낮은 온도에서 실록산계 화합물이 현상 될 수 있다. 다만 더욱 우수한 가스 베리어 특성을 갖기 위해서는 유기성분이 미포함될 수 있다.
본 발명의 코팅액은 계면 활성제를 더 포함 할 수 있다. 상기 계면 활성제는 특히 한정되지 않으며, 예컨데 폴리옥시에틸렌라우릴에테르, 폴리옥시에틸렌스테아릴에테르, 폴리옥시에틸렌에테르, 폴리옥시에틸렌레일에테르 등의 폴리옥시에틸렌알킬에테르류, 폴리옥시에틸렌노닐페놀에테르 등의 폴리옥시에틸렌알킬알릴에테르류, 폴리옥시에틸렌 폴리옥시프로필렌블럭코폴리머류, 솔비탄모노라우레이트, 솔비탄모노팔미테이트, 솔비탄모노스테아레이트, 솔비탄모노올레이에트 등의 폴리옥시에틸렌솔비탄지방산 에스테르 등의 노니온계 계면활성제, 에프톱EF301, EF303, EF352((주)토켐프로덕츠 제조), 메가팩F171, F173(다이닛폰잉크(주) 제조). 프로라드FC430, FC431(스미토모쓰리엠(주) 제조), 아사히가드AG710, 샤프론S-382, SC101, SC102, SC103, SC104, SC105, SC106(아사히가라스(주) 제조) 등의 불소계 계면활성제, 오르가노실록산폴리머 KP341(신에쯔카가쿠고교(주) 제조) 등과 기타 실리콘계 계면활성제를 들 수 있다. 상기 계면활성제는 코팅액의 총함량에 대하여 약 10 중량% 이하, 예를 들면, 약 0.001 중량% 내지 약 5 중량%로 포함 될 수 있다.
본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 하드코팅 필름은 편광 필름일 수 있다. 도 3은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 하드코팅 필름의 단면도를 개략적으로 나타낸 것이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 하드코팅 필름(300)은 편광자(210)의 양 면에 베이스필름(220a, 220b)이 접착되고, 접착된 베이스필름(220a, 220b) 중 하나(220a)의 표면에는 본 발명에 따른 하드코팅층(230)이 형성되어 있다.
기타, 하드코팅층(230) 상부에는 보호필름(240)이 형성되어 있을 수 있으며, 접착된 베이스필름(220a, 220b) 중 다른 하나(220b)에는 점착제층(250)과 이형필름(260)이 형성될 수 있다.
편광자(210)로는 통상 폴리비닐알콜계 수지의 필름으로 이루어지는 요소계의 편광자, 이색염료계의 편광자 등이 이용될 수 있으나, 이들에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
하드코팅 필름의 제조방법
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 하드코팅 필름의 제조 방법은 베이스필름의 일면상에 코팅층을 형성하고, 암모니아 가스의 존재 하에서 상기 코팅층을 건조하여 (메타)아크릴계 수지, 실리카 및 질소를 포함하는 유-무기 하이브리드층을 형성하는 것을 포함할 수 있다.
우선, (메타)아크릴레이트계 공중합체 수지, 폴리실라잔 또는 폴리실록사잔 화합물, 및 용매를 포함하는 코팅액을 준비한다.
이어서, 상기 준비된 코팅액을 베이스필름의 일면에 도포한다. 상기 코팅액을 도포하는 방법으로는 롤(Roll) 코팅, 스핀(Spin) 코팅, 딥(Dip) 코팅, 플로우(Flow) 코팅, 스프레이(Spray) 코팅 등이 있으며, 반드시 이에 제한되는 것은 아니다.
상기 코팅액의 코팅되는 두께는 약 0.1 ㎛ 내지 약 5 ㎛ 일 수 있다. 상기 범위에서 크랙이 발생하지 않으며, 충분한 표면 경도의 확보가 가능하다.
상기 도포된 하드코팅층은 자외선 조사, 플라즈마 처리, 열처리 또는 이들의 조합에 의해 개질될 수 있다. 여기에서 “개질”과정은 수소화 폴리실록사잔, 수소화 폴리실라잔 또는 이들이 혼합물이 실리카로 변화되어 세라믹화되는 과정이다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 하드코팅층은 실리카로 개질되어 내열성, 내마모성, 및 절연성 등이 우수하다. 따라서, 각종 기재의 보호막으로서 넓게 사용될 수 있다.
또한, 실리카로의 변화율을 높이기 위해서 자외선 조사, 플라즈마 처리, 고습에서 건조, 또는 암모니아 가스 존재하에서 건조하는 것을 추가적으로 더 포함할 수 있다. 구체적으로는 암모니아 가스의 존재 하에 건조할 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 하드코팅 필름의 제조 방법은 암모니아 가스의 존재 하에서 건조를 수행하여 저온에서 단 시간(예를 들어, 수 분 이내) 내에 세라믹화, 즉 개질을 완전히 진행시킬 수 있어 UV 조사 등의 공정이 필요 없으며, 고온 고습 상태에서 장시간 열처리를 진행할 필요가 없다. 이러한 방법으로 완전히 개질된 하드코팅층은 경도가 우수하며 크랙이 발생하지 않는다. 구체적으로, 상기 암모니아 가스 존재 하에서 건조는, 온도 약 20℃ 내지 약 90℃와 상대 습도 약 30% 내지 약 90% 의 조건에서 수행될 수 있다. 상기 범위에서 크랙이 발생하지 않고 충분한 세라믹화를 얻을 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명의 실시예를 통해 본 발명의 구성 및 작용을 더욱 상세히 설명하기로 한다. 다만, 하기 실시예는 본 발명의 이해를 돕기 위한 것으로, 본 발명의 범위가 하기 실시예에 한정되지는 않는다. 여기에 기재되지 않은 내용은 이 기술 분야에서 숙련된 자이면 충분히 기술적으로 유추할 수 있는 것이므로 그 설명을 생략하기로 한다.
실시예
실시예 및 비교예에서 사용한 각 성분의 사양
베이스필름: 두께가 100㎛인 토요보社 PET를 사용하였다.
폴리실라잔: 제일모직 제조
(메타)아크릴레이트 수지: 시그마 알드리치社의 PMMA를 사용하였다.
우레탄 아크릴레이트 수지: DIC社의 UNIDIC RC27-947을 사용하였다.
다관능 아크릴레이트 모노머: SK Cytec사의 DPHA를 사용하였다.
용제 1: Wako社의 자일렌을 사용하였다.
용제 2: 삼전순약社의 부틸 아세테이트를 사용하였다.
광 개시제: Ciba社의 Igacure-184를 사용하였다.
물성 평가 방법
(1) 연필경도: 미쯔비시 평가용 연필(UNI)로 연필경도측정기(Shinto Scientific, Heidon)를 이용하여 500kg/㎠ 하중, 0.5mm/sec의 속도로 그은 후, 연필경도를 확인하였다.
(2) 내스크래치성: 내스크래치측정기(Shinto Scientific, Heidon)를 이용하여 1,000kg/㎠ 하중, 50mm/sec의 속도로 100mm를 10회 왕복한 후 긁힘 여부를 육안으로 확인하였다. (긁힘 없음 : X, 긁힘 발생 : ○)
(3) 휨: 가로길이, 세로길이, 두께가 각각 100mm, 100mm, 1㎛인 하드코팅 필름을 85℃, 상대습도 85%, 72 시간 방치한 후 4 시간 동안 25℃에서 에이징하였다. 평가 전과 평가 후의 휨 수치는 도 2에 따라 측정하였다.
(4) 크랙 발생: 가로길이, 세로길이, 두께가 각각 100mm, 100mm, 1㎛인 하드코팅 필름을 굴곡성 테스트기(직접 제작)를 이용하여 5cm/sec의 속도로 Φ 20mm를 10,000회 왕복한 후 크랙 여부를 육안으로 확인하였다.

실시예 1 내지 3 및 비교예 1
하기 표 1의 조성을 갖는 코팅액을 베이스필름 상면에 1㎛ 도막 두께로 스핀 코팅하였다. 스핀 코팅은 1000rpm으로 20초 동안 코팅을 하고, 암모니아 가스의 존재 하에 80℃/3분으로 convection oven에서 건조를 하였다. 상기 물성 평가 방법에 따라 하드코팅층의 물성을 측정한 후 그 결과값을 하기 표 1에 함께 기재하였다.
비교예 2
하기 표 1의 조성을 갖는 코팅액을 베이스필름 상면에 1㎛ 도막 두께로 스핀 코팅하였다. 스핀 코팅은 1000rpm으로 20초 동안 코팅을 하고, 암모니아 가스의 비존재 하에 80℃/3분으로 convection oven에서 건조를 하였다. 상기 물성 평가 방법에 따라 하드코팅층의 물성을 측정한 후 그 결과값을 하기 표 1에 함께 기재하였다.
비교예 3-4
하기 표 1의 조성을 갖는 코팅액을 베이스필름 상면에 1㎛ 도막 두께로 스핀 코팅하였다. 스핀 코팅은 1000rpm으로 20초 동안 코팅을 하고, 암모니아 가스의 비존재 하에 80℃/3분으로 convection oven에서 건조 후, 고압 수은등으로 350mJ/cm의 광량으로 자외선 조사를 실시하여 경화시켰다. 상기 물성 평가 방법에 따라 하드코팅층의 물성을 측정한 후 그 결과 값을 하기 표 1에 함께 기재하였다.

상기 표 1에서 보듯이 실시예 1 내지 실시예 3의 하드코팅 필름은 표면경도가 우수하고, 스크래치가 발생하지 않으며, 휨성이 낮고 크랙이 발생하지 않은 것을 알 수 있다. 반면, (메타)아크릴레이트 공중합체 수지를 적용하지 않은 비교예 1의 경우 무기물의 함량이 현저히 증가하여 크랙이 발생한 것을 알 수 있으며, 코팅액상 폴리실라잔을 포함하지 않고, 암모니아 가스의 비존재 하에서 경화과정을 거친 비교예 2의 경우에는 코팅층 내 질소 함량이 10 atomic %를 초과하며, 휨성이 현저히 높아지고 크랙이 발생한 것을 알 수 있다. 또한, 폴리실라잔 및 (메타)아크릴레이트를 포함하지 않은 코팅액을 사용하고 암모니아 가스의 비존재 하에서 경화과정을 거친 비교예 3은 및 비교예 4는 연필경도가 저하되고 휨성이 현저히 높아진 것을 알 수 있다.
본 발명의 단순한 변형 내지 변경은 이 분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의하여 용이하게 실시될 수 있으며, 이러한 변형이나 변경은 모두 본 발명의 영역에 포함되는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

Claims (14)

  1. 베이스필름; 및
    상기 베이스필름의 일면에 형성된 하드코팅층;을 포함하고,
    상기 하드코팅층은 (메타)아크릴계 수지, 실리카 및 질소를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 질소는 상기 하드코팅층 내에 약 10 atomic % 이하로 포함되는 하드코팅 필름.
  3. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 하드코팅층의 두께는 약 0.1 ㎛ 내지 약 5 ㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름.
  4. 제1항에 있어서,
    가로길이, 세로길이, 두께가 각각 100 mm, 100 mm, 1 ㎛인 하드코팅 필름을 85℃, 상대습도 85%, 72 시간 방치한 후 측정한 상기 하드코팅 필름의 바닥으로부터 휘어진 최대 높이는 약 5 mm 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름.
  5. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 하드코팅 필름은 연필 경도가 약 3H 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름.
  6. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 하드코팅 필름은 편광 필름인 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름.
  7. 베이스필름의 일면상에 코팅층을 형성하고,
    암모니아 가스의 존재 하에서 상기 코팅층을 건조하여 (메타)아크릴계 수지, 실리카 및 질소를 포함하는 유-무기 하이브리드층을 형성하는 것을 포함하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서,
    상기 코팅층을 형성하는 것은, (메타)아크릴계 공중합체 수지(A), 수소화 폴리실라잔 또는 수소화 폴리실록사잔(B), 및 용매(C)를 포함하는 코팅액으로 상기 기재 필름의 일면을 코팅하는 것을 포함하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조 방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 코팅액은
    상기 (메타)아크릴계 공중합체 수지(A) 약 5 중량% 내지 약 25 중량%;
    수소화 폴리실라잔 또는 수소화 폴리실록사잔(B) 약 1 중량% 내지 약 30 중량%; 및
    용매(C) 약 50 중량% 내지 약 90 중량%;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법.
  10. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 (메타)아크릴계 공중합체 수지(A)는 메틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 에틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 프로필 (메타)아크릴레이트, n-부틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, t-부틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, iso-부틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 펜틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 헥실 (메타)아크릴레이트, 2-에틸헥실(메타)아크릴레이트, 헵틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 옥틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, iso-옥틸 (메타)아크릴레이트, 노닐 (메타)아크릴레이트, 데실 (메타)아크릴레이트 및 도데실 (메타)아크릴레이트로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상의 단량체가 공중합된 수지인 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법.
  11. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 수소화 폴리실라잔 또는 수소화 폴리실록사잔(B)은 구조 중에 화학식 1로 표시되는 단위 및 하기 화학식 2로 표시되는 말단부를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법:

    상기 화학식 1에서, R1 내지 R3은 각각 독립적으로 수소, 치환 또는 비치환된 C1 내지 C30의 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 사이클로 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 아릴알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 헤테로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 헤테로사이클알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환된 C3 내지 C30의 알케닐기, 치환 또는 비치환된 알콕시기, 치환 또는 비치환된 카르보닐기, 히드록시기 또는 이들의 조합임.
  12. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 유-무기 하이브리드층을 형성하는 것은, 온도 약 20℃ 내지 약 90℃ 및 상대 습도 약 30% 내지 약 90% 조건에서 약 1 분 내지 약 24 시간 동안 상기 코팅층을 건조하는 것을 포함하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법.
  13. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 코팅은 롤(Roll) 코팅, 스핀(Spin) 코팅, 딥(Dip) 코팅, 플로우(Flow) 코팅 또는 스프레이(Spray) 코팅인 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법.
  14. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 코팅은 코팅층의 두께가 약 0.1 ㎛ 내지 약 5 ㎛가 되도록 코팅액의 도포가 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 하드코팅 필름의 제조방법.
