Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle provided with a leanable body frame and two front wheels.
- a vehicle including a vehicle body frame that tilts in the left-right direction when cornering the vehicle and two front wheels provided side by side in the left-right direction of the vehicle body frame is known (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
- the front end of the vehicle body cover is arranged behind the front ends of the two front wheels with a reduced interval.
- the shape was changed and tested. As a result, it was found that flying objects such as pebbles and muddy water bounced up from vehicles traveling in front of the vehicle may pass between the two front wheels and invade behind the two front wheels. .
- an object of the present invention is to reduce the size of the front portion of the vehicle while ensuring a protection function against a flying object of the vehicle having a leanable body frame and two front wheels.
- one aspect of the present invention is a vehicle, Body frame, A handle provided to be rotatable relative to the vehicle body frame; A vehicle body cover that at least partially covers the vehicle body frame; A right front wheel and a left front wheel arranged side by side in the left-right direction of the body frame; A steering mechanism for transmitting rotation of the handle to the right front wheel and the left front wheel; A link mechanism that is disposed above the right front wheel and the left front wheel, and changes a relative position of the right front wheel and the left front wheel with respect to the vehicle body frame to incline the vehicle body frame with respect to a vertical direction; With The vehicle body cover is A front part that covers at least a part of the link mechanism and is provided so as not to be displaceable with respect to the body frame, and is disposed in front of the rear end of the right front wheel and the left front wheel in the front-rear direction of the body frame.
- a front end of the front portion is disposed at a rear side in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body frame from the front ends of the right front wheel and the left front wheel in the upright state of the vehicle body frame,
- the vehicle is provided so as to be displaceable with respect to the vehicle body frame in accordance with the operation of the steering mechanism, and the vehicle body frame is in an upright state when viewed from the front in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body frame.
- the vehicle body frame is disposed below the vehicle body frame in the vertical direction, on the left side of the vehicle body frame in the left-right direction with respect to the right front wheel, and on the right side of the vehicle body frame in the left-right direction with respect to the left front wheel.
- a protective part arranged below the front edge of the front part of the vehicle body frame in the vertical direction, Is included.
- the vehicle As a result of various changes in the shape of the vehicle cover and analysis of the state in which the vehicle receives flying objects from the front during traveling, the vehicle is in an upright state, and in front of each front end of the right front wheel and the left front wheel with a narrower interval.
- a part of the vehicle body cover that extends downward from the upper end comes from the front to the left side of the vehicle body frame in the left-right direction than the right front wheel and to the right side of the vehicle body frame in the left-right direction of the left front wheel. It turned out that it was suppressing the passage of things.
- the vehicle body cover is viewed from the front in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body frame when the vehicle body frame is in an upright direction, below the link mechanism in the vertical direction of the vehicle body frame, to the left of the vehicle body frame in the left-right direction than the right front wheel, And a part of the vehicle body frame, a part of the vehicle body cover, and one of the power units that are located to the right of the vehicle body frame in the left-right direction with respect to the left front wheel and located behind the right front wheel and the left front wheel in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body frame. It was found to protect at least one of the parts.
- the vehicle body cover has both a function of covering at least a part of the link mechanism and a function of suppressing the intrusion of flying objects to the rear of the right front wheel and the left front wheel. Therefore, the body cover mainly covers the function of covering at least a part of the link mechanism (link cover part), and the part responsible for the function of suppressing the intrusion of the flying object behind the right front wheel and the left front wheel (protection) And appropriate arrangement and shape for each functional part.
- a vehicle equipped with a tiltable body frame and a link mechanism has a wide movable range of the right front wheel and the left front wheel. Therefore, the position and size of the area below the link mechanism in the vertical direction of the body frame, the left side in the left and right direction of the body frame from the right front wheel, and the right side in the left and right direction of the body frame from the left front wheel It varies greatly depending on the mechanism operation.

It is arranged below in the vertical direction and between the right front wheel 31 and the left front wheel 32.
- the right protrusion 223dR and the left protrusion 223dL according to this modification function as a protection part.
- the right projecting portion 223dR and the left projecting portion 223dL are located on the lower side of the vehicle body frame 21 in the vertical direction, rather than the link mechanism 5, when the vehicle 1 with the body frame 21 standing upright is viewed from the front in the front-rear direction of the body frame 21.
- the vehicle 1 is positioned on the left side in the left-right direction of the body frame 21 with respect to the front wheel 31 and on the right side in the left-right direction of the body frame 21 with respect to the left front wheel 32, and When viewed from the front, at least one of a part of the vehicle body frame 21, a part of the vehicle body cover 22, and a part of the power unit 25 located at the rear in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body frame 21 relative to the right front wheel 31 and the left front wheel 32 is viewed from the front. Protect from flying objects. Moreover, the right protrusion 223dR and the left protrusion 223dL protect the front wheel rear portion S from flying objects from the front. In this case, the front spoiler 222 may not be provided.
- the right protrusion 223dR and the left protrusion 223dL may be provided in the right front fender 223R and the left front fender 223L according to the modification described with reference to FIG.
- the right protrusion 223dR is fixed to the right outer cylinder 312A (an example of the upper portion of the right shock absorber) of the right shock absorber 33A.
- the left protrusion 223dL is fixed to the left outer cylinder 322A (an example of the upper part of the left shock absorber) of the left shock absorber 35A.
- the left front wheel 32 and the left front wheel 32 are located to the right of the left and right sides of the vehicle body frame 21 and the vehicle body 21 with the vehicle body frame 21 standing upright is viewed from the side of the vehicle body frame 21. It is possible to more reliably protect at least one of a part of the vehicle body frame 21, a part of the vehicle body cover 22, and a part of the power unit 25 that are located behind the vehicle body frame 21 in the front-rear direction. Further, the front wheel rear portion S can be directly protected. Therefore, the right protrusion 223dR and the left protrusion 223dL can be made smaller. Therefore, the front portion of the vehicle 1 can be reduced in size while ensuring the protection function against the flying object of the vehicle 1 including the body frame 21 that can tilt and the two front wheels 3.
