Cooling of the foods – beverages placed into the freezing compartment is realized by forced convection by means of a fan situated on the evaporator.

  • An opening is arranged on the cabinet wall, aligned with the air circulation duct and the air circulation ducts can be taken out of the cabinet through the opening and cleaned.
  • the air duct is fixed to a cover placed into the opening and recess-shaped handles are located on the cover. The user takes the air circulation ducts out of the cabinet by moving the cover in the horizontal direction by means of the handle.
  • the air circulation duct is produced in three pieces, two horizontal pieces and one vertical piece and the pieces can be taken out of the cabinet separately or all together.
  • the cover whereto the air circulation ducts are fixed, is configured as a hollow box and insulation material is placed into the cover.

Leak-proofing is improved by placing a gasket between the flange and the outer surface of the cabinet wall.
  • the food & beverage items spilled on the air circulation ducts situated on the base of the chest freezer are cleaned easily by the user taking the air circulation ducts out of the cabinet.

  • the chest freezer (1) comprises a cabinet (2), a freezing compartment (3) situated inside the cabinet (2) wherein foods and beverages are placed, a door (not shown in the figures) that is disposed at the upper side of the cabinet (2) and that closes the top of the freezing compartment (3), an evaporator (4) disposed at the lateral side of the freezing compartment (3) which provides the cooling of the freezing compartment (3), a fan (5) disposed at the upper side of the evaporator (4), an evaporator cover (6) situated in front of the evaporator (4), a machine compartment (7) situated at the lower side of the cabinet (2), wherein the compressor and the condenser are disposed, and one or more than one air circulation duct (8) that is disposed at the lower side of the freezing compartment (3) and that provides the air sucked from the freezing compartment (3) by the fan (5) to be directed to the evaporator (4).
  • the chest freezer (1) of the present invention comprises one or more than one opening (9) arranged on the cabinet (2) side wall, aligned with the air circulation duct (8) and opening from the freezing compartment (3) to the outside environment, and one or more than one cover (10) disposed in the opening (9), fixed to the air circulation duct (8) and enabling the air circulation duct (8) to be taken out of the cabinet (2) by being pulled in the horizontal direction.
  • the air circulation duct (8) is positioned at the lower part of the freezing compartment (3) and placed on the base of the cabinet (2).
  • the cover (10) is moved outwards in the horizontal direction from the side wall of the cabinet (2) and the air circulation duct (8) fixed to the cover (10) is taken out of the cabinet (2).
  • Materials that cause the air suction holes (not shown in the figures) to be clogged by spilling from the foods and beverages contained in the freezing compartment (3) on the air circulation duct (8) during utilization are cleaned and the air circulation duct (8) is again placed at the lower part of the freezing compartment (3) by being pushed in the horizontal direction through the opening (9) into the cabinet (2).
  • the cabinet (2) is configured as a rectangular prism, and the opening (9) and the cover (10) are situated on the front wall of the cabinet (2) facing the user or on the rear wall of the cabinet (2).
  • the air circulation duct (8) comprises a first horizontal piece (11) disposed on the base of the cabinet (2) in the horizontal direction, a second horizontal piece (111) disposed on the top wall of the machine compartment (7) at a higher level than the first horizontal piece (11) and a vertical piece (12) that extends vertically between the horizontal pieces (11, 111).
  • the horizontal pieces (11, 111) and the vertical piece (12) are joined by means of bends (D) ( Figure 1).
  • the horizontal pieces (11, 111) and the vertical piece (12) forming the air circulation duct (8) can be taken out of the cabinet (2) by being pulled through the opening (9) as a single piece or separately.
  • the cover (10) is configured as a hollow box and insulation is provided between the freezing compartment (3) and the exterior environment.
  • insulation material is filled into the cover (10), for example polyurethane is injected therein.
  • the air circulation duct (8) comprises one or more than one fixing extension (13) that provides the cover (10) to be fixed to the air circulation duct (8) by being embedded into the insulation material, for example polyurethane, inside the cover (10) ( Figure 4).
  • the fixing extensions (13) extend into the volume in the cover (10) and the insulation material is injected into the cover (10).
  • the insulation material solidifies by surrounding the fixing extensions (13) and the cover (10) is provided to be firmly fixed to the air circulation duct (8).
  • the cover (10) comprises one or more than one recess-shaped handle (14) that is disposed on the front surface of the cabinet (2) wall and that enables the cover (10) to be pulled out of the cabinet (2) ( Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
  • the chest freezer (1) comprises a flange (15) that surrounds the cover (10), that is seated on the outer surface of the cabinet (2) wall on the edges of the opening (9) when placed into the opening (9) and that improves thermal insulation at the opening (9) – cover (10) region (Figure 5).
  • the chest freezer (1) comprises a sealing gasket (16) that is disposed between the flange (15) and the outer surface of the cabinet (2) wall and that improves thermal insulation (Figure 5).
  • the air circulation duct (8) is cleaned by being easily taken out of the cabinet (2) and the clogging, bad odors caused in air suction holes (9) by the spilled foods, beverages are eliminated. Air flow is improved in the air circulation duct (8), refrigeration performance is increased and energy consumption is decreased.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un congélateur-coffre (1), comprenant une armoire (2), un compartiment de congélation (3) situé à l'intérieur de l'armoire (2), dans lequel sont placés des aliments et des boissons, une porte (non représentée sur les figures) disposée sur le côté supérieur de l'armoire (2), qui ferme la partie supérieure du compartiment de congélation (3), un évaporateur (4) disposé sur le côté latéral du compartiment de congélation (3) et conférant la capacité de refroidissement au compartiment de congélation (3), un ventilateur (5) disposé sur le côté supérieur de l'évaporateur (4), un couvercle d'évaporateur (6) disposé à l'avant de l'évaporateur (4), un compartiment de machine (7) situé sur le côté inférieur de l'armoire (2), dans lequel sont disposés le compresseur et le condensateur, et un ou plusieurs conduits de circulation d'air (8) qui sont disposés sur le côté inférieur du compartiment de congélation (3) et qui fournissent l'air aspiré en provenance du compartiment de congélation (3) par le ventilateur (5) vers l'évaporateur (4).
