Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein biokatalytisches Verfahren zur Herstellung von Furandimethanolen aus Hydroxymethylfurfuralen, katalysiert von geeigneten Alkoholdehydrogenase-Enzymen und die Verwendung der so hergestellten Dimethanole zur Herstellung von bzw. in Polyestern, Bisphenol-A Ersatzstoffen, Harzen, Bindern, Polyethern, Lösemitteln, Aminen.
