Caisse destinée à contenir des contenants et/ou des bouteilles, réalisée en matière plastique, dotées de séparateurs internes et de renforts aux angles. Les angles de la caisse présentent une structure de colonne creuse, le creux étant rempli d'une matière thermoplastique expansée, de préférence une polyoléfine telle que le polyéthylène. On obtient ainsi une combinaison de légèreté et de résistance permettant d'économiser les matériaux, d'empiler les caisses sur une plus grande hauteur, de conférer aux caisses une résistance aux chocs et aux coups relevant d'une manipulation peu soigneuse ou violente, et de recycler la caisse à la fin de sa vie utile, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de séparer les matériaux en vue dudit recyclage.
