- D2D communication data communication is performed directly between two or more UEs 100.
- FIG. 6 shows a data path in cellular communication.
- a data path means a transfer path of user data (user plane).
- the data path of cellular communication goes through the network. Specifically, a data path passing through the eNB 200-1, the S-GW 300, and the eNB 200-2 is set.
- FIG. 7 shows a data path in D2D communication.
- D2D communication is performed between the UE 100-1 that has established a connection with the eNB 200-1 and the UE 100-2 that has established a connection with the eNB 200-2 is illustrated.
- the D2D communication is started.
- the UE 100 has a function of discovering another UE 100 existing in the vicinity of the UE 100 (Discover). Further, the UE 100 has a (Discoverable) function that is discovered from other UEs 100.
- the data path of D2D communication does not go through the network. That is, direct radio communication is performed between UEs.
- direct radio communication is performed between UEs.
- the network traffic load and the battery consumption of the UE 100 are reduced by performing D2D communication between the UE 100-1 and the UE 100-2. The effect of doing etc. is acquired.
- the D2D communication is performed in the frequency band of the LTE system (that is, in the frequency band of the cellular communication). For example, in order to avoid interference with the cellular communication, D2D communication is performed. In this embodiment, D2D communication is performed using a part of uplink radio resources of cellular communication.
- FIG. 8 is a diagram for explaining a communication environment in which cellular communication and D2D communication are performed simultaneously.
- the UE 100-1 and the UE 100-2 perform D2D communication.
- the UE 100-3 performs cellular communication with the eNB 200.
- D2D communication is performed using a part of uplink radio resources of cellular communication. Therefore, when D2D communication and cellular communication are performed simultaneously, the uplink of cellular communication receives interference from D2D communication.
- D2D communication is performed using radio resources other than the specific radio resources among the uplink radio resources without using the specific radio resources.
- the specific radio resource is an uplink reference signal resource used for transmitting an uplink reference signal and an uplink control signal resource used for transmitting an uplink control signal.
- the uplink reference signal and the uplink control signal are not subject to interference from D2D communication. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the cellular communication from being disabled due to the interference from the D2D communication, so that the D2D communication can be compatible with the cellular communication.
- D2D resource allocation which is radio resource allocation for D2D communication
- eNB200 determines the radio
- eNB200 notifies UE100 of D2D resource allocated dynamically or semi-statically. The UE 100 performs D2D communication using the allocated D2D resource.
- the eNB 200 that performs D2D resource allocation allocates radio resources other than the specific radio resource among the uplink radio resources as the D2D resource. Specifically, the eNB 200 prohibits the use of specific radio resources in resource block units. For example, the eNB 200 allocates resource blocks other than the PUCCH resource and the PRACH resource among the uplink radio resources as the D2D resource.
- various control information (ACK / NACK, CQI, etc.) in cellular communication can be normally transmitted without receiving interference from D2D communication. Further, by not using the PUCCH resource for the D2D communication, the UE 100 during the D2D communication can transmit the cellular PUCCH.
- FIG. 9 is a diagram for explaining an example of the D2D resource allocated in the operation pattern 1. Here, uplink radio resources for one radio frame in the uplink frequency band are illustrated.
- the eNB 200 allocates some resource blocks included in the PUSCH resource as the D2D resource. This is because uplink data (user data) transmitted on the PUSCH can be recovered by retransmission or the like even if it receives interference from D2D communication, and interference from D2D communication can be allowed.
- the eNB 200 transmits some resource blocks included in the PUSCH resource in the subframe # 1 by data transmission by the UE 100-1 and data reception by the UE 100-2. Assign to. Also, the eNB 200 allocates some resource blocks included in the PUSCH resource in subframe # 3 to data reception by the UE 100-1 and data transmission by the UE 100-2.
- the UE 100 does not use the specific radio resource for the D2D communication. Specifically, the UE 100 prohibits the use of specific radio resources on a symbol basis. For example, the UE 100 does not use SRS resources and DMRS resources for D2D communication.
- FIG. 10 is a diagram for explaining SRS resources and DMRS resources. Here, the case of normal CP setting is illustrated.
- the SRS resource is arranged in the final symbol of the subframe.
- DMRS is arranged at the fourth symbol of each slot.
- SRS in cellular communication can be normally transmitted without receiving interference from D2D communication. Further, by not using the SRS resource for the D2D communication, the UE 100 during the D2D communication can transmit the cellular SRS. Furthermore, since the SRS resource is arranged in the last symbol of the subframe, the symbol period corresponding to the SRS resource may be used as a period for switching transmission / reception of D2D communication.
- DMRS in cellular communication can be normally transmitted without receiving interference from D2D communication.
- the symbol period corresponding to the DMRS resource may be used as a period for switching transmission / reception of D2D communication, and transmission / reception of D2D communication may be switched on a slot basis.

- the UE 100-1 Upon receiving the D2D resource information, the UE 100-1 performs D2D communication using the D2D resource indicated by the D2D resource information.
- the radio resource can be effectively utilized by using the radio resource for the MBMS data (MBMS channel) for which distribution has been stopped for the D2D communication.
- the specific function is an MBMS function
- the specific subframe is an MBSFN subframe.
- the specific function is an ICIC function
- the specific subframe is an ABS.
- the ICIC function is a function for avoiding interference between cells by cooperation of a plurality of cells (plural eNBs).
- the ICIC function is important in a communication environment in which a small eNB such as a pico eNB (PeNB) is installed in a macro eNB (MeNB) cell.
- a small eNB such as a pico eNB (PeNB) is installed in a macro eNB (MeNB) cell.
- FIG. 20 is a diagram for explaining a communication environment according to the present embodiment.
- PeNB 200-2 is installed in the cell of MeNB 200-1. Further, UE 100-1 to UE 100-4 are accommodated in MeNB 200-1. The UE 100-5 is accommodated in the PeNB 200-2.
- UE 100-1 and UE 100-2 perform D2D communication using D2D resources allocated from MeNB 200-1.

- the UE 100-5 performs cellular communication with the PeNB 200-2 using radio resources allocated from the PeNB 200-2.
- the downlink of PeNB 200-2 receives large interference from the downlink of MeNB 200-1. Therefore, the MeNB 200-1 sets some downlink subframes to the ABS.
- the ABS is a subframe that is substantially blanked to avoid interference between cells.
- FIG. 21 is a diagram for explaining the ABS. As illustrated in FIG. 21, the MeNB 200-1 sets, for example, subframes with subframe numbers # 1 and # 6 as ABSs in a downlink radio frame.

- the downlink of the PeNB 200-2 can avoid interference from the downlink of the MeNB 200-1, so that downlink communication can be performed satisfactorily.
- the ABS becomes a useless radio resource that cannot be used for downlink communication.
- the MeNB 200-1 that performs radio resource allocation for D2D communication allocates at least a part of the ABS to D2D communication when the ABS is set.

- UE 100-1 and UE 100-2 perform D2D communication using the D2D resource allocated from MeNB 200-1.
- the transmission power in D2D communication is a low value, the influence of the interference which the downlink of PeNB200-2 receives from D2D communication is small.
- MeNB 200-1 allocates radio resources to UE 100-3 and UE 100-4 as usual.
- the use of the specific radio resource used for transmitting a predetermined uplink signal in cellular communication in D2D communication is restricted for all UEs 100.
- the use in D2D communication is not necessarily restricted for all UEs 100, and the use in D2D communication may be restricted only for some UEs 100 that satisfy a predetermined condition.
- the UE 100 having a large path loss with the eNB 200 changes from the D2D communication of the UE 100 to the cellular uplink communication.
- the influence of interference on this is small. This is because the D2D communication signal transmitted by the UE 100 with a small path loss between the eNB 200 and the eNB 200 is received with high power. Therefore, it is possible to allow the specific radio resource to be used for D2D communication for the UE 100 in which the path loss with the eNB 200 is equal to or greater than the threshold.
- the use of the specific radio resource for D2D communication is prohibited.
- the UE 100 that is prohibited may determine its own conditions and refrain from using the specific radio resource, or may be instructed by the eNB 200 to prohibit the use of the specific radio resource.
- the UE 100 when it estimates, it may be estimated from the received power of the reference signal transmitted from the eNB 200. Moreover, when eNB200 estimates, you may estimate from the reception power of the cellular reference signal which UE100 transmits, and the reception power of the D2D reference signal (a Discovery signal, a synchronization signal, etc.) which UE100 transmits It may be estimated from the D2D reference signal (a Discovery signal, a synchronization signal, etc.) which UE100 transmits It may be estimated from
- the use of the specific radio resource used for transmitting a predetermined downlink signal in the cellular communication is restricted for all UEs 100 in the D2D communication.
- the use in D2D communication is not necessarily restricted for all UEs 100, and the use in D2D communication may be restricted only for some UEs 100 that satisfy a predetermined condition.
- the D2D communication of the UE 100 having a large path loss with the eNB 200 to the cellular downlink communication is large
- the D2D communication of the UE 100 having a small path loss with the eNB 200 is changed to the cellular downlink communication.
- the influence of interference on this is small. This is because the downlink cellular communication quality is likely to deteriorate at a position where the path loss with the eNB 200 is large (for example, a cell edge). Therefore, it is permissible for the UE 100 whose path loss with the eNB 200 is equal to or less than the threshold to use the specific radio resource for D2D communication. On the other hand, for the UE 100 in which the path loss with the eNB 200 is larger than the threshold, it is prohibited to use the specific radio resource for D2D communication.
Moreover, when eNB200 estimates, you may estimate from the reception power of the cellular reference signal which UE100 transmits, and the reception power of the D2D reference signal (a Discovery signal, a synchronization signal, etc.) which UE100 transmits It may be estimated from the D2D reference signal (a Discovery signal, a synchronization signal, etc.) which UE100 transmits It may be estimated from
- the MBSFN subframe when the MBSFN subframe is used for D2D communication, although the influence of interference on the cellular downlink communication (MBMS reception) from the D2D communication of the UE 100 having a large path loss with the eNB 200 is large, The influence of the interference exerted on the cellular downlink communication (MBMS reception) from the D2D communication of the UE 100 with a small path loss is small. This is because the downlink cellular communication quality is likely to deteriorate at a position where the path loss with the eNB 200 is large (for example, a cell edge). Therefore, it is permissible for the UE 100 whose path loss with the eNB 200 is equal to or less than the threshold to use the MBSFN subframe for D2D communication. On the other hand, use of the MBSFN subframe for D2D communication is prohibited for the UE 100 whose path loss with the eNB 200 is larger than the threshold.
- Forbidden UE 100 may determine its own conditions and refrain from using the MBSFN subframe, or may be instructed by eNB 200 to prohibit the use of the MBSFN subframe.
