Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé (10) à deux étapes pour la récupération de nickel et d'autres métaux à partir de minerai de latérite, de minerai de sulfure, de minerai d'oxyde porteurs de nickel ou de concentré de ceux-ci (14), et un minerai de sulfure de nickel ou des résidus (24) est décrit. Le procédé (10) dans une première étape de lixiviation (20) comprend les étapes de: addition d'acide nitrique (16) au minerai de latérite, au minerai de sulfure, au minerai d'oxyde porteurs de nickel, ou au concentré de ceux-ci (14) pour former une boue de lixiviation de la 1ère étape (18); et traitement de la boue pour permettre l'oxydation au moins partielle du minerai ou concentré pour former une boue traitée de la 1ère étape (22).
