Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a tile separator intended to be positioned between the corners of the tiles, facilitating their alignment during installation on a surface, and the definition between them of separation slots of uniform width.
  • This separator is applicable in the construction sector and more specifically in the placement of ceramic pieces for the formation of a surface coating, such as walls or floors. Background of the invention.
  • These separators are placed between the corners of the successive tiles as they are installed on a flat support surface or substrate, so that the four separating legs are arranged between the pairs formed by the four tiles whose corners converge towards a point common.
  • a matrix of rectangular tiles fixed by a layer of material to a substrate is described in which said matrix has interstices between adjacent corners of four tiles, said matrix including a plurality of tile separators located in the respective matrix interstices, each spacer including four frontal portions, spaced 90 °, which are interposed between the respective adjacent faces of the tiles and which further includes a posterior portion that is interposed between the substrate and each tile adjacent to the interstitium .
  • This separator does not solve the problem and is not recoverable since the back portion of it is trapped between the substrate and ceramic tiles fixed on it.
