Description
〔装置構成〕
図1は、第1実施形態におけるPOSレジスタ装置の外観の構成例を示す図である。図1に示されるように、第1実施形態におけるPOSレジスタ装置1は、チェッカ装置10及びキャッシャ装置20から構成される。POSレジスタ装置1、チェッカ装置10及びキャッシャ装置20はPOS端末と呼ぶこともできる。
図3は、第1実施形態におけるPOSレジスタシステム1000の一部の処理構成例を概念的に示す図である。図3では、チェッカ装置10及びキャッシャ装置20をまとめてPOSレジスタ装置1としている。ここで、POSレジスタ装置1に含まれる処理構成は、チェッカ装置10とキャッシャ装置20が共に有していてもよいし、片方のみ有していてもよい。また、図3には、未登録商品照会画面に関する構成のみが示されているため、POSレジスタ装置1、POS管理装置40は、図示される各処理部以外の多数の処理部を有する。
POSレジスタ装置1は、商品コード取得部101、商品情報テーブル102、表示処理部103、画像取得部104、要求送信部105等を有する。これら各処理部は、例えば、CPU2によりメモリ3に格納されるプログラムが実行されることにより実現される。また、当該プログラムは、例えば、CD(Compact Disc)、メモリカード等のような可搬型記録媒体や他の装置からインストールされ、メモリ3に格納されてもよい。
POS管理装置40は、図3に示されるように、要求転送部401、回答受信部402、回答送信部403、マスタ商品情報テーブル404、宛先テーブル405等を有する。これら各処理部は、例えば、CPU2によりメモリ3に格納されるプログラムが実行されることにより実現される。また、当該プログラムは、例えば、CD(Compact Disc)、メモリカード等のような可搬型記録媒体や他の装置からインストールされ、メモリ3に格納されてもよい。
担当者端末30は、店の従業員等が保持する端末である。担当者端末30は、いわゆる携帯電話やPDA(Personal Digital Assistant)といった汎用的な端末でもよいし、POSレジスタシステム1000のみで利用する独自の端末であってもよい。各担当者は、この担当者端末30の表示装置32で、POSレジスタ装置1から送信された商品情報要求に含まれる商品画像等を確認する。そして、各担当者は、商品の売価情報等の、商品情報要求に対する回答情報を入出力装置31で作成して、通信装置4を介して当該回答情報をPOS管理装置40へ送信する。また、回答情報には、商品の売価情報の他にも、その商品の分類を示す部門コードや商品名、値引き情報といったその他の関連情報等が含めることができる。
以下、第1実施形態における未登録商品照会方法について図5及び図6を用いて説明する。図5は、POSレジスタ装置1において未登録商品照会処理が実行されるまでの流れを示すフローチャートである。図6は、第1実施形態におけるPOSレジスタシステム1000の動作例を示すシーケンス図である。第1実施形態における未登録商品照会方法は、第1実施形態におけるPOSレジスタ装置1を構成するチェッカ装置10又はキャッシャ装置20、及びPOS管理装置40により実行される。
第1実施形態では、マスタ商品情報テーブルに登録されていない未登録商品がスキャナ装置13又はハンディスキャナ23で撮像され、その撮像により生成された商品画像を含む商品情報要求がPOS管理装置40へ送信される。そして、その商品情報要求は、POS管理装置40から担当者端末30へ転送される。担当者端末30に転送された商品情報要求に含まれる商品画像等に基づき、当該未登録商品の売価情報を含む回答情報が売場担当者により作成され、POS管理装置40へ送信される。その回答情報は、POS管理装置40からPOSレジスタ装置1へ送信される。POSレジスタ装置1に送信された回答情報はPOSレジスタ装置1上で表示されて、結果として、売価情報等の未登録商品に関する商品情報をレジ担当者に把握させることができる。
第1実施形態におけるPOSレジスタシステム1000では、宛先テーブル405からアドレス情報を取得する際に条件を設けていないため、担当外の商品に関する商品情報要求が担当者端末30に送信される可能性がある。
図7は、第2実施形態におけるPOSレジスタシステム1000の処理構成例を示す図である。POSレジスタ装置1は、第1実施形態に加えて、分類情報取得部106を更に有する。
以下、第2実施形態における未登録商品照会方法について図10を用いて説明する。図10は、第2実施形態におけるPOSレジスタシステム1000の動作例を示すシーケンス図である。図10では、第1実施形態における動作例と同じ工程については、図6と同じ符号が付されている。第2実施形態における未登録商品照会方法では、S90の工程からS93の工程が第1実施形態と異なるため、これら工程についてのみ以下に説明する。
第2実施形態では、商品分類情報が、POSレジスタ装置1において、タッチパネル12b、22bやキーボード11、21等の入力装置から入力され、商品情報要求に設定される。POS管理装置40では、その商品分類情報と対応付けられて格納されるアドレス情報が抽出され、その抽出されたアドレス情報が示す担当者端末30のみに商品情報要求が転送される。これにより、第2実施形態によれば、担当外の担当者に無駄に商品情報要求を確認させることを防止することができる。商品情報要求に係る未登録商品を担当している担当者に対してのみ商品情報要求を送信することができ、POSレジスタ装置1はより正確な回答情報を受信することが可能となる。
第1及び第2実施形態では、POS管理装置40がPOSレジスタ装置1から商品情報要求を受信して担当者端末30へ転送する形態を示した。ここで、商品情報要求の送受信については、POS管理装置40でなくとも、メールの送受信に一般的に利用される通信会社のメールサーバ等を用いる形態も考えられる。
図11は、第3実施形態におけるPOSレジスタシステム1000の処理構成例を示す図である。第1及び第2実施形態ではPOS管理装置40が商品情報要求を転送していたが、本実施形態では、例えばインターネット等のネットワーク2000上に接続された通信会社のメールサーバ等(不図示)により商品情報要求を転送する。そのため、第3実施形態におけるPOSレジスタ装置1は、第2実施形態に加えて、宛先テーブル107、回答受信部108、及び回答配信部109を更に有する。宛先テーブル107、回答受信部108、及び回答配信部109についても、例えば、CPU2によりメモリ3に格納されるプログラムが実行されることにより実現される。
以下、第3実施形態における未登録商品照会方法について図12を用いて説明する。図12は、第3実施形態におけるPOSレジスタシステム1000の動作例を示すシーケンス図である。図12では、第2実施形態における動作例と同じ工程については、図6及び図10と同じ符号が付されている。第3実施形態における未登録商品照会方法では、S100の工程からS104の工程が第1及び第2実施形態と異なるため、これら工程についてのみ以下に説明する。
第3実施形態では、例えば通信会社のメールサーバ等を介して、POSレジスタ装置1から担当者端末30に向けて商品情報要求が送信される。そして、本実施形態ではPOSレジスタ装置1が回答受信部108更に有するため、担当者端末30で作成された回答情報がPOSレジスタ装置1で受信可能となる。また、POSレジスタ装置1が回答配信部109を更に有するため、受信した回答情報が他のPOSレジスタ装置に配信可能となる。これにより、第1実施形態と同様の効果を得ることができる。また、本実施形態では、POSレジスタ装置1が、第2実施形態の宛先テーブル405と同様の情報を持つ、宛先テーブル107をさらに有するため、商品分類情報に紐付くアドレス情報が利用でき、第2実施形態と同様の効果も得ることができる。
上述の各実施形態では、POSレジスタ装置1がチェッカ装置10及びキャッシャ装置20を有する例が示されたが、POSレジスタ装置1はキャッシャ装置20のみで構成されてもよい。また、上述の各実施形態では、未登録商品照会画面がチェッカ装置10及びキャッシャ装置20で表示可能とされたが、未登録商品照会画面はチェッカ装置10及びキャッシャ装置20のいずれか一方のみで表示可能とされてもよい。
図13は、変形例におけるPOSシステム700の構成例を概念的に示す図である。

撮像部により撮像される、精算対象に登録される商品の商品画像を取得する画像取得部と、
前記商品画像を含む商品情報要求を、前記POS管理装置に送信する要求送信部と、
を有し、
前記POS管理装置は、
前記商品情報要求を担当者端末に転送する要求転送部と、
前記商品情報要求に対して前記担当者端末から送信される、商品の売価情報を含む回答情報を受信する回答受信部と、
前記回答情報を前記POSレジスタ装置に送信する回答送信部と、
を有する情報処理システム。 - 前記要求送信部は、商品を特定可能な商品コードを含む商品識別ラベルから前記商品コードを取得し、該取得された商品コードと前記商品画像とを含む前記商品情報要求を送信し、
前記POS管理装置は、前記商品コードおよび前記売価情報を含む商品情報を登録するマスタ商品情報テーブルと、前記要求送信部から受信した前記商品コードと前記売価情報とを対応付けて前記マスタ商品情報テーブルに登録する商品情報登録部とを更に有する、
請求項4に記載の情報処理システム。 - 前記要求送信部は、前記商品画像に対応する商品の商品分類情報を取得し、該取得された商品分類情報と前記商品画像とを含む前記商品情報要求を送信し、
前記POS管理装置は、各商品分類情報に関し、前記担当者端末のアドレス情報をそれぞれ格納する宛先テーブルを更に有し、
前記要求転送部は、前記要求送信部から受信した前記商品分類情報に対応するアドレス情報を前記宛先テーブルから抽出し、該抽出されたアドレス情報を用いて前記商品情報要求を転送する、
請求項4又は5に記載の情報処理システム。 - 前記回答送信部は、前記回答情報を他の前記POSレジスタ装置に対して送信する、
請求項4から6のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。 - 情報処理装置が、
撮像部により撮像される、精算対象に登録される商品の商品画像を取得し、
前記商品画像を含む商品情報要求を、担当者端末に向けて送信し、
前記商品情報要求に対して前記担当者端末から送信される、商品の売価情報を含む回答情報を受信する、
ことを含む未登録商品照会方法。 - 前記情報処理装置は、各商品分類情報に関し、前記担当者端末のアドレス情報をそれぞれ格納する宛先テーブルを更に有し、
前記情報処理装置が、
前記商品画像に対応する商品の前記商品分類情報を取得し、
該取得された商品分類情報に対応するアドレス情報を前記宛先テーブルから抽出し、
該抽出されたアドレス情報を用いて前記商品情報要求を送信する、
ことを更に含む請求項8に記載の未登録商品照会方法。 - 前記情報処理装置が、前記回答情報を他の情報処理装置に対して配信する、
ことを更に含む請求項8又は9に記載の未登録商品照会方法。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理装置をそれぞれ実現する、POS(Point Of Sale)レジスタ装置とPOS管理装置とを有する情報処理システムにより実行される未登録商品照会方法において、
前記POSレジスタ装置が、
撮像部により撮像される、精算対象に登録される商品の商品画像を取得し、
前記商品画像を含む商品情報要求を、前記POS管理装置に送信し、
前記POS管理装置が、
前記商品情報要求を担当者端末に転送し、
前記商品情報要求に対して前記担当者端末から送信される、商品の売価情報を含む回答情報を受信し、
前記回答情報を前記POSレジスタ装置に送信する、
ことを含む未登録商品照会方法。 - 前記POSレジスタ装置が、商品を特定可能な商品コードを含む商品識別ラベルから前記商品コードを取得し、該取得された商品コードと前記商品画像とを含む前記商品情報要求を送信し、
前記POS管理装置が、前記商品コードおよび前記売価情報を含む商品情報を登録するマスタ商品情報テーブルと、前記POSレジスタ装置から受信した前記商品コードと前記売価情報とを対応付けて前記マスタ商品情報テーブルに登録する、
ことを更に含む請求項11に記載の未登録商品照会方法。 - 前記POSレジスタ装置が、
前記商品画像に対応する商品の商品分類情報を取得し、
該取得された商品分類情報と前記商品画像とを含む前記商品情報要求を送信し、
前記POS管理装置は、各商品分類情報に関し、前記担当者端末のアドレス情報をそれぞれ格納する宛先テーブルを更に有し、
前記POS管理装置が、
前記POSレジスタ装置から受信した前記商品分類情報に対応するアドレス情報を前記宛先テーブルから抽出し、
該抽出されたアドレス情報を用いて前記商品情報要求を転送する、
ことを更に含む請求項11又は12に記載の未登録商品照会方法。 - 前記POS管理装置が、前記回答情報を他の前記POSレジスタ装置に対して送信する、
ことを更に含む請求項11から13のいずれか1項に記載の未登録商品照会方法。 - 情報処理装置に、
撮像部により撮像される、精算対象に登録される商品の商品画像を取得する画像取得部と、
前記商品画像を含む商品情報要求を、担当者端末に向けて送信する要求送信部と、
前記商品情報要求に対して前記担当者端末から送信される、商品の売価情報を含む回答情報を受信する回答受信部と、
を実現させる未登録商品照会プログラム。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理装置をそれぞれ実現する、POS(Point Of Sale)レジスタ装置とPOS管理装置とを有する情報処理システムを実現するプログラムであって、
POSレジスタ装置に、
撮像部により撮像される、精算対象に登録される商品の商品画像を取得する画像取得部と、
前記商品画像を含む商品情報要求を、前記POS管理装置に送信する要求送信部と、
を実現させ、
POS管理装置に、
前記商品情報要求を担当者端末に転送する要求転送部と、
前記商品情報要求に対して前記担当者端末から送信される、商品の売価情報を含む回答情報を受信する回答受信部と、
前記回答情報を前記POSレジスタ装置に送信する回答送信部と、
を実現させる未登録商品照会プログラム。
