Definitions
- the invention relates to an implant carrier according to the preamble of claim 1, with which an implant is to be attached to a bone.
- EP 1 154 732 B1 already discloses an implantable actuating mechanism which is fixed in the body via an implant carrier.
- the example treated there is a fixable on the pubic bone actuating mechanism for the prevention of urinary incontinence.
- the implant carrier used there has two bone plates, which are rigidly interconnected via a crossbar. On the traverse of the support arm for receiving the implanted actuating mechanism is arranged. The respective bone plates are screwed to the pubic bone with appropriate bone screws.
- the known implant carrier does not take into account that the pubis consists of two bone parts, which are hinged at the center via a cartilage. Due to the rigid fixation of the implant carrier, the mobility of the pubic bone is restricted, which can lead to complications in the implant carrier.
- Object of the present invention is to develop a known implant carrier such that, if necessary, an anatomically predetermined mobility of the bone on which the implant carrier is arranged, is not affected.
- the generic implant carrier having two interconnected via a crossbar bone plates, at least one specially designed bone plates, which is coupled at its connection points movable with the crossbar.
- the support arm is arranged in the region between the bone plates of the support arm for attachment of the implant.
- the bone plates have eye-shaped ends, with which they can be connected via the cross-section adapted in cross-section and connected by screws. These connecting screws serve to fix the eye-shaped ends of the bone plates on the crossbar.
- the bone plates are movably coupled at both ends of the traverse.
- a slot or a groove along the central axis of the crossmember is provided on one side of the crossmember, in which the screw of the bone plate located at this end dips without rigidly clamp the bone plate to the crossmember.
- a further embodiment of the invention may be provided at the other end of the traverse a circumferential thread-like depression into which the screw of the bone plate arranged at this end dips without rigidly clamp the bone plate to the crossbar.
- the implant carrier can be handled as a rigid part in the surgical procedure for connection to the bone easier.
- the push-on sleeves can be removed.
- the desired mobility of the implant carrier is achieved after completion of the operation in a simple manner.
- the preferably provided Aufsteckhülsen advantageously each have adapted to the traverse circumferential collar which dips when plugging the Aufsteckhülsen in a correspondingly shaped recess of the at the eye-shaped ends of the bone plates and thus determines the corresponding bone plate relative to the movably coupled Traverse.
- the slip-on sleeves on a handle part may consist of a plastic injection-molded part.
- the handle part can be configured in a simple manner as a small eyelet into which optionally a tool for pushing or removing the slip-on can intervene.
- the bone plates can be shaped as desired. Preferably, they may have spatially arranged to each other sections, in which are preferably arranged as oblong holes arranged for receiving extra bone screws.
- FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through an implant carrier according to an embodiment of the present invention
- FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through the implant carrier according to FIG. 1 with laterally plug-on attachment plates
- FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the implant carrier according to FIG. 1 in the assembled state
- FIG. 4 shows an exploded perspective view of the implant carrier according to FIG.
- FIG. 1 in which the individual components are isolated.
- the construction of the implant carrier 10 is shown in the sectional view according to FIG. It consists of two bone plates 12 and 14 and a cross member 16 connecting them. On the cross member 16, a support arm 18 is arranged in the region between the bone plates 12 and 14, to which an implant can be coupled in a manner not shown here.
- the implant carrier 10 is made of titanium or a titanium alloy in the embodiment shown here.
- the traverse 16 consists of a cylindrical rod, at one end of a groove 20 and a slot is excluded. At the opposite end a circumferential thread-like recess 22 is excluded.
- the bone plates 12 and 14 each have ösenförmi- ge ends 24 and 26, which are adapted to the diameter of the crossbar 16 so that they can be plugged onto this.
- the eye-shaped ends 24 and 26 respectively screw holes are provided in the screws 28, 30 are screwed.
- the screw 28 dips into the groove 20 of the traverse, while the screw 30 dips into the circumferential thread-like depression 22.
- Both the eye-shaped ends 24 and 26 as well as the screws 28 are each dimensioned so that between the respective bone plates 12 and 14 on the one hand and the cross member 16 on the other hand, a sufficient clearance is present, which is a certain pivotal movement of the bone plates 12 and 14 relative to the traverse allows. Because of this mobility, the implant carrier 10 allows a mobility of the mutually movable bone parts even after attachment of the implant to the bone, such as the pubic bone.
- the implant carrier 10 is shown in a construction state in which it is usually handled during the implantation. Since in the operation, the movable mounting of the bone plates 12 and 14 of a cross member 16 difficult positioning and positioning of the implant carrier, this is fixed in the manner shown in Figure 2 via Aufsteckhülsen 32 and 34 such that the bone plates 12 and 14 opposite the Tra- verse 16 are rigid and therefore no longer movable.
- Aufsteckhülsen are provided, which are plugged in the delivery state at the respective ends of the cross member 16.
- the Aufsteckhülsen 32 are also adapted to the outer diameter of the implant carrier and can be plugged onto the respective ends. They each have a circumferential collar 36, which engage in a slot-shaped recess 38 which are provided in the eye-shaped ends 24 and 26 of the bone plates 12 and 14 (see Figure 1).
- the slip-on sleeves 32 and 34 fill this gap 38 from. Furthermore, they have a handle 40 which engage over the width of the eye-shaped end 24 or 26 of the bone plates 12 and 14 in the shape of a bow, wherein these engage on the slot-shaped recess 38 opposite end in the form of a snap hook on the eye-shaped end 24 and 26 respectively as shown in FIG. Due to the flexibility of the plastic material from which the slip-on sleeves 32 and 34 are made, the handles 40 can be deflected and the slip-on sleeves 32 and 34, respectively, removed from the end of the traverse 16. This is usually done after fixation on the bone, which is not shown here.
- FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the implant carrier 10, which here in particular shows the shape of the bone plates 12 and 14.
- the bone plates 12 and 14 each have two extensions, in which screw holes 42 are excluded, in which engage in the manner not shown bone screws.
- the screw holes 42 are formed here as slots.
- the support arm 18 has two parallel spacers 44 and 46, to which the implant is attached in a manner not shown.
