Abstract
Bei einem Mischventil (6) einer Brennkraftmaschine (1) eines Kraftfahrzeuges ist der Abstand von Schwenkachsen (12, 13) zweier Klappen (10, 11) kleiner als der Durchmesser der größten Klappe (10). Weiterhin sind die Klappen (10, 11) mit einer einzigen Antriebseinrichtung (8) verbunden. Die Antriebseinrichtung (8) stellt eine kollisionsfreie Koppelung der Bewegungen der Klappen (10, 11) sicher. Hierdurch ist das Mischventil (6) besonders kompakt aufgebaut.

Beschreibung
Mischventil einer Brennkraftmaschine eines Kraftfahrzeuges Die Erfindung betrifft ein Mischventil einer Brennkraftmaschine eines Kraftfahrzeuges mit einer in einem Ansaugkanal angeordneten Klappe und einer in einem Abgasrückführungskanal angeordneten Klappe, wobei der Ansaugkanal und der Abgasrückführungskanal in einen gemeinsamen Sammelkanal münden, und mit einer Antriebseinrichtung zum Antrieb der Klappen.
Solche Mischventile werden bei Abgasrückführungs Systemen von Brennkraftmaschinen heutiger Kraftfahrzeuge häufig eingesetzt und sind aus der Praxis bekannt. Die Bewegungen der Ansaug- klappe und der Abgasklappe sind derart gesteuert, dass die
Abgasklappe ausgehend von der ersten Stellung linear mit einem Ansteuersignal der Antriebseinrichtung öffnet. Die Ansaugklappe verharrt jedoch zunächst in der ersten Stellung und wird erst oberhalb eines vorgesehenen AnsteuerSignals ge- schlössen.
Die Klappen der bekannten Mischventile weisen einen Abstand auf, der zumindest dem Durchmesser der größeren der Klappen entspricht. Hierdurch wird eine Kollision der Klappen verhin- dert. Die unterschiedlichen Antriebe der Klappen erfordern einen großen Bauraum, welcher jedoch häufig nicht zur Verfügung steht.
Der Erfindung liegt das Problem zugrunde, ein Mischventil der eingangs genannten Art so zu gestalten, dass es einen besonders kleinen Bauraum aufweist.
Dieses Problem wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass der Abstand von Schwenkachsen der Klappen kleiner ist als der Durchmesser der größten Klappe, und dass Schwenkbewegungen der Klappen kollisionsfrei gekoppelt sind.
Durch diese Gestaltung stellt die Koppelung der Schwenkbewegungen der Klappen sicher, dass die Klappen trotz Überschneidung ihrer Schwenkbewegungen nicht miteinander kollidieren. Daher lassen sich die Schwenkachsen der Klappen besonders na- he zusammen anordnen. Gleichzeitig sind hierdurch die Mittel zum Antrieb der Klappen ebenfalls nahe zusammen angeordnet. Damit weist das Mischventil einen besonders kleinen Bauraum auf . Die kollisionsfreie Führung der Klappen gestaltet sich gemäß einer vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung besonders einfach, wenn die Klappen gleichsinnig geführt sind.
Der bauliche Aufwand zum Antrieb der Klappen lässt sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung besonders gering halten, wenn die Antriebseinrichtung einen einzigen Elektromotor hat und wenn der Elektromotor über jeweils ein Stellmittel mit den Klappen verbunden ist. Damit ermöglicht das Mischventil den vollständigen Ersatz zweier einzelner Ventile. Dank der Erfindung werden zahlreiche Bauteile, wie Gehäuse, Deckel, Sensorik und Steckanschluss für den Elektromotor nur einfach benötigt. Damit bietet das erfindungsgemäße Mischventil neben dem Bauraumvorteil auch einen großen Kostenvorteil.
Der Elektromotor kann gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung einen Elektromotor mit besonders kleinen Abmessungen aufweisen, wenn zumindest eines der Stellmittel ein Zahnradgetriebe mit mehreren Zahnrädern auf- weist. Solche Elektromotoren weisen meist eine hohe Drehzahl auf. Das Zahnradgetriebe ermöglicht die Übersetzung der hohen Drehzahl des Elektromotors auf die vorgesehene Schwenkbewegung der Klappen. Die Bewegungsabfolge der Klappen lässt sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung einfach steu-
ern, wenn zwischen dem einen Stellmittel und der Klappe eine Kupplung angeordnet ist.
Die Kupplung gestaltet sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung konstruktiv besonders einfach, wenn die Kupplung eine Klauenkupplung mit einem Totgang ist.
Die Bewegungsabfolge und die Bewegungsgeschwindigkeit der Klappen lassen sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiter- bildung der Erfindung besonders vielseitig gestalten, wenn zumindest eines der Stellmittel eine Steuerkurve zur Führung eines Steuerteils aufweist.
Die Steuerkurve und das Steuerteil gestalten sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung konstruktiv besonders einfach, wenn die Steuerkurve auf der Außenkontur eines angetriebenen Rades angeordnet ist und wenn das Steuerteil eine mit einer der Klappen verbundene, auf der Steuerkurve abrollende Rolle ist. Vorzugsweise ist die Klappe mit Rad gegen die Außenkontur federelastisch vorgespannt. Insbesondere die Kombination des Antriebs der einen Klappe mittels der Steuerkurve und der anderen Klappe mittels des Zahnradgetriebes ermöglicht die besonders geringen Abmessungen des Mischventils .
Die Anzahl von Lagerstellen lässt sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung besonders gering halten, wenn das die Steuerkurve aufweisende Rad auf einem Zahnrad des Zahnradgetriebes angeordnet ist. Dies trägt zu einer weiteren Verringerung der Abmessungen des Mischventils bei .
Die in dem Ansaugkanal und dem Abgasrückführungskanal strömenden Gase lassen sich gemäß einer anderen vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung beliebig mischen, wenn in einer
Mittelstellung der Antriebseinrichtung beide Klappen geöffnet
sind und in den Endstellungen die eine oder die andere der Klappen geschlossen ist.
Die Erfindung lässt zahlreiche Ausführungsformen zu. Zur wei- teren Verdeutlichung ihres Grundprinzips ist eine davon in der Zeichnung dargestellt und wird nachfolgend beschrieben. Diese zeigt in:

Figur 1 zeigt schematisch eine Brennkraftmaschine 1 mit einer Ansaugleitung 2 und mit einer Abgasleitung 3. Die Ansaugleitung 2 hat einen Ansaugkanal 4, über den Luft aus der Umge- bung angesaugt wird. Von der Abgasleitung 3 führt ein Abgasrückführungskanal 5 über ein Mischventil 6 in die Ansaugleitung 2. Das Mischventil 6 führt den Ansaugkanal 4 und den Abgasrückführungskanal 5 zu einem Sammelkanal 7 zusammen. Der Sammelkanal 7 führt unmittelbar zu der Brennkraftmaschine 1. Eine Antriebseinrichtung 8 mit einem Elektromotor 9 ermöglicht eine Verstellung des Mischventils 6.
Figur 2 zeigt das Mischventil 6 aus Figur 1 mit der Antriebseinrichtung 8. Zur Vereinfachung ist die Antriebseinrichtung 8 schematisch dargestellt. Das Mischventil 6 hat eine in dem Ansaugkanal 4 angeordnete schwenkbare Klappe 10 und eine in dem Abgasrückführungskanal 5 angeordnete schwenkbare Klappe 11. Die im Ansaugkanal 4 angeordnete Klappe 10 ist geringfügig größer als die im Abgasrückführungskanal 5 angeordnete Klappe 11. Der Abstand von Schwenkachsen 12, 13 der Klappen 10, 11 beträgt etwa 80 % des Durchmessers der größeren, im Ansaugkanal 4 angeordneten Klappe 10.
Die Klappen 10, 11 werden über den einzigen Elektromotor 9 angetrieben. Die Schwenkrichtung der Klappen 10, 11 verläuft gleichsinnig, wie es in der Zeichnung mit Pfeilen verdeutlicht ist. Hierfür hat die Antriebseinrichtung 8 erste, zu der einen im Ansaugkanal 4 angeordneten Klappe 10 führende
Stellmittel 14 und zweite, zu der im Abgasrückführungskanal 5 angeordneten Klappe 11 führende Stellmittel 15. Die zu der im Ansaugkanal 4 angeordneten Klappe 10 führenden Stellmittel 14 haben ein Zahnradgetriebe 16 mit mehreren Zahnrädern 17 und eine Kupplung 18. Die Kupplung 18 hat einen Totgang 19, um den die Zahnräder 17 angetrieben werden können, ohne dass die Klappe 10 mitbewegt wird.
Die zu der im Abgasrückführungskanal 5 angeordneten Klappe 11 führenden Stellmittel 15 weisen eine Steuerkurve 20 zur Bewegung eines Steuerteils 21 auf. Das Steuerteil 21 ist über einen Hebel 22 mit der im Abgasrückführungskanal 5 angeordneten Kappe 11 verbunden. Die Steuerkurve 20 ist auf der Außenkontur eines von dem Zahnradgetriebe 16 angetriebenen Rades 23 angeordnet. Das Steuerteil 21 ist als auf der Außenkontur abrollende Rolle ausgebildet.
Beide Klappen 10, 11 sind von nicht dargestellten Federelementen in die Offenstellung vorgespannt. Die Antriebseinrich- tung 8 treibt damit die Klappen 10, 11 in die Schließrichtung an .
Figur 3 zeigt den Öffnungswinkel Ot der Klappen 10, 11 über einen Bewegungsbereich des Zahnradgetriebes 16. Die Bewegung der im Ansaugkanal 4 angeordneten Klappe 10 ist mit I und die Bewegung der im Abgasrückführungskanal 5 angeordneten Klappe 11 ist mit II gekennzeichnet. Zur Vereinfachung ist der Bewegungsbereich in Prozentwerten dargestellt. Hierbei ist zu erkennen, dass in einem Ausgangszustand von 0 % des Bewegungs- bereichs die Klappe 10 des Ansaugkanals 4 vollständig geöffnet ist, während die Klappe 11 des Abgasrückführungskanals 5 vollständig geschlossen ist. Bei einem Antrieb des Zahnradge-
triebes 16 auf 50 % des Bewegungsbereichs sind beide Klappen 10, 11 vollständig geöffnet. Anschließend schließt sich die im Ansaugkanal 4 angeordnete Klappe 10 vollständig, während die im Abgasrückführungskanal 6 angeordnete Klappe 11 in der vollständig geöffneten Stellung verbleibt.

Mischventil (6) einer Brennkraftmaschine (1) eines Kraftfahrzeuges mit einer in einem Ansaugkanal (4) ange ordneten Klappe (10) und einer in einem Abgasrückführungskanal (5) angeordneten Klappe (11), wobei der Ansaugkanal (4) und der Abgasrückführungskanal (5) in einen gemeinsamen Sammelkanal (7) münden, und mit einer Antriebseinrichtung (8) zum Antrieb der Klappen (10, 11), d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass der Abstand von Schwenkachsen (12, 13) der Klappen (10, 11) kleiner ist als der Durchmesser der größten Klappe (10), und dass Schwenkbewegungen der Klappen (10, 11) kollisionsfrei gekoppelt sind.
Mischventil nach Anspruch 1, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass die Klappen (10, 11) gleichsinnig geführt sind.
Mischventil nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass die Antriebseinrichtung (8) einen einzigen Elektromotor (9) hat und dass der Elektromotor (9) über jeweils ein Stellmittel (14, 15) mit den Klappen (10, 11) verbunden ist.
Mischventil nach Anspruch 3, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass zumindest eines der Stellmittel (14) ein Zahnradgetriebe (16) mit mehreren Zahnrädern (17) aufweist.
Mischventil nach Anspruch 4, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass zwischen dem einen Stellmittel (14) und der Klappe (10) eine Kupplung (18) angeordnet ist.
6. Mischventil nach Anspruch 5, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass die Kupplung (18) eine Klauenkupplung mit einem Totgang (19) ist.
7. Mischventil nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 6, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass zumindest eines der Stellmittel (15) eine Steuerkurve (20) zur Führung eines Steuerteils (21) aufweist.
8. Mischventil nach Anspruch 7, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass die Steuerkurve (20) auf der Außenkontur eines angetriebenen Rades (23) angeordnet ist und dass das Steuerteil (21) eine mit einer der Klappen (11) verbundene, auf der Steuerkurve (20) abrollende Rolle ist.
9. Mischventil nach Anspruch 8, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass das die Steuerkurve (20) aufweisende Rad (23) auf einem Zahnrad (17) des Zahnradgetriebes (16) angeordnet ist.
10. Mischventil nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , dass in einer Mittelstellung der Antriebseinrichtung (8) beide Klappen (10, 11) geöffnet sind und in den Endstellungen die eine oder die andere der Klappen (10, 11) geschlossen ist.
