- Converter 3 converts a three-phase AC voltage into a DC voltage.
- FIG. 5 is a diagram schematically showing a state where only the inverter is used.
- converter 3 cannot receive AC power from commercial AC power supply 1 due to a power failure, for example. In this case, the converter 3 stops.

- the phases of carrier signals 55 to 57 corresponding to voltage command values Vu *, Vv *, and Vw * are equal to each other. Therefore, similarly to FIG. 10, in FIG. 13, carrier wave signals 55 to 57 are shown as one carrier wave signal.
- the absolute value of the zero-phase component increases when the value of the carrier signal reaches the peak value.
- the loss of the filters 2 and 5 is large.
- the zero-phase component is large, common mode noise increases.
- Patent Document 2 Japanese Patent Laying-Open No. 2005-51959
- the phases of a plurality of pulse signals corresponding to each of a plurality of phases are made different from each other.
- the zero-phase component can be reduced only by inverting the phase of one carrier signal with respect to the phase of two carrier signals.
- the phase of the carrier signal corresponding to any one of the U phase, the V phase, and the W phase only needs to be inverted with respect to the phases of the remaining two carrier signals.
- Embodiment 3 can further reduce the zero-phase component.
- uninterruptible power supply 101 includes converter 3A and inverter 4A instead of converter 3 and inverter 4.
- the uninterruptible power supply 101 is different from the uninterruptible power supply 100 in this respect.
- Converter 3A and inverter 4A are multilevel circuits.
- Neutral point line 17 connects converter 3A and inverter 4A. Since the structure of the other part of uninterruptible power supply 101 is the same as that of the corresponding part of uninterruptible power supply 100, the following description will not be repeated.
