Abstract
L'invention concerne un échangeur de chaleur à mousse, destiné à être utilisé en liaison avec des applicateurs de distribution d'adhésif thermofusible ou d'autres matériaux thermoplastiques, qui comporte une mousse présentant une structure de mousse réticulée à cellules ouvertes. Ladite structure réticulée à cellules ouvertes de la mousse a pour effet d'accroître nettement l'aire surfacique de l'échangeur de chaleur à mousse avec laquelle l'air entre en contact. De plus, la structure réticulée à cellules ouvertes de l'échangeur de chaleur à mousse soumet également l'écoulement d'air à une résistance et à de la turbulence, renforçant ainsi le rendement de chauffage de l'échangeur de chaleur par un transfert renforcé d'énergie thermique de l'échangeur de chaleur au flux d'air traité, ce qui permet de chauffer un volume d'air nettement plus important par comparaison à un échangeur de chaleur conventionnel de taille similaire.
